Artistes that should compose for ayumi's future material ?
 

Over the past 12 years & counting , ayumi's material were composed by some really well respected musicians/DJs such as Ferry Corsten , D.A.I , BOUNCEBACK & etc

is there any particular artiste(s) that you wish in that they can compose a song or 2 for her , since she's the one that takes care of things in the lyrics department .

For me , I would love to see Suga Shikao compose something for her as he's such a well respected & yet under-rated talented musician & I also really like his unique blend of soul , funk , jazz & etc which he incorporated such genres to his music

Other artistes that will be awesome to compose something for her in future includes

- Saito Kazuyoshi
- B'z's Tak Matsumoto cos he composed KAT-TUN's Real Face xD
- Himuro Kyosuke

Utada Hikaru (or maybe not). . .doesnt Gackt compose sometimes (or am i misinformed) ill have to think of more later

I really like his compositions that he did for Kanon Wakeshima who's unofficially considered as his muse xD

something even more up there on the classical creepy cool factor , think of a spookier WONDERLAND & Marionette :P

I don't know if Acid Black Cherry might want to compose for ayumi though cos most of yasu-san's works are quite depressing/dark D:

I'd want something from the VK department lol Her lyrics could totally fit a composition by someone like Yoshiki of X Japan, or maybe Yasu/Acid Black Cherry.

Mana ex. MALICE MIZER would definitely be interesting, I agree.

I would love to hear how it'd turn out if Utada Hikaru composed a song for Ayu. I've always dreamed of them collaborating and Hikki composing for Ayu is probably the closest we'd ever get to that. Utada did mention before that she'd like to compose for other people eventually, so hopefully Ayu's still going strong after Hikki retires (which is almost a definite duh) and then we'll get to see that! ;D

I think it will be super cool if yasu-san were to compose something for her . Some of ABC's works are really neat , like Nemuri Hime , Yasahii Uso & Black Cherry way before the PV of Lady Dyanmite was born , Black Cherry's PV was the PV to see men in drag xD

SID might be another artiste to do something for ayumi & so's my 3 boys BREAKERZ . Maybe YUI too since both her & ayumi were born in Fukuoka

Sayuri Sugawara is too new for Ayumi Hamasaki, but hey, maybe in a few years they could do it together...

And let's not forget about ayaka...

Also, what about Cocco-- alan's composer. She and Ayu could make an epic song together!

KinKi Kids's Domoto Koichi might be another great guy to go for

most (I think all ?) of his solo material are composed by him & omg I was very blown away when I listened to his debut solo album mirror

even though he never wrote the lyrics for all the songs on mirror , he composed everything & it's extremely top notch stuff

I like Akeboshi to compose her a song because I'd like to hear her to something kinda folky. Patrick Wolf would be interesting too.

ABC's work is pretty incredible, though I'll admit I haven't heard a real lot but I have heard the stuff you're referring to. And indeed that Black Cherry PV was the perfect PV for that :P

If you're talking about SID the jrock band than I agree with that also; something like Sleep! Ahh she could do wonders with a composition like that.

I would love for Gackt to write for Ayumi, but I haven't been loving his recent stuff, other than Ghost...a Tsuki No Uta for Ayu would be so lovely. I really want to say Shinichi Osawa aswell, since he's done some stellar work.
Edited so I can say NO to Gaga...my god, Ayumi has enough trouble with her own discography of similar sounding songs, she doesn't need songs that sound like other people's stuff.

yasutaka nakata. lets get some of the electronic stuff. never hurts to experiment for one album. Lady Gaga would be nice too. She's very independent and shows a lot of artistry and originality in her music.

Well...Nakata's a favorite...but I don't think Ayu goes with his style. NEXT LEVEL pretty much proved Ayu + electronic = meh...Well...I'd like Ayu to have some nice sweeping ballads for a change....so someone who could do that....ayaka maybe? It's not like she's singing right now or anything...

I know! My jaw hit the ground when I first heard it! I tried using the Sparkle vocal track to mix it but I couldn't get it right so I gave up. But yeah that song is WICKED!

Osawa Shinichi. The man got it covered from electronic to jazz to acoustic. He's not at all afraid to play around with his sound and if he did an electronic, there wouldn't be any heavy filtering like Yasutaka.

Composer doesen't necessarily imply style, so someone could use nakata composition for a ballad. =P Doesen't have to be electronic.

I would love to hear her sing a B'z composition as well.

The only one popping in my head is Elton John. I don't know if it would work or not, but I think it'd be a nice change, even if it's just one song. :)

And Alan Menken is one of my favorite composers. (He's done the score for a lot of Disney movies, including Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas, Hercules, and even Enchanted). So, I'd love to hear them collaborate. :)

Ooh! And Phil Collins! They'd make a pretty cool song together! :D He'd compose a song that's perfect for her range! ;)

Kajiura Yuki: This woman's compositions are just... heavenly. Combine it with Ayu's incredible lyric writing... god... it'd be nothing but pure magic.

Yasutaka Nakata: It would be NEXT LEVEL taken to the NEXT LEVEL. :laugh If she does explore that genre again (which I hope she will) I'd love for him to be involved.

Kikuchi Kazuhito: I NEED another epic Ayu ballad from him. I love his faster pace songs though, so either would be fine by me. I just want more Kikuchi! :weep
