Yay Kylie thread.
I love Kylie to death, but I'm having a hard time embracing this album and it's concept. I don't care much for the title, the new single is just sorta 'eh' for me, I think I'll like it better when the video comes out. On a similar note I'm glad she's back to her old hairstyle and image and dropped that horrible blonde hair and the circus craziness she was rockin for X. |
^sometime it is good to do crazy image FOR awhile (sorry lady gaga fans, i don't like her images all the time), but being simple is beauty for me.
Apparently I like the cover, it gives me a "new" "simple" feeling. However, I hope she is back to "X" era that lots of dance songs. |

I wouldn't worry about dance songs, she's been doing dance songs non-stop since like Light Years. I wish she would do a good ballad tho, all the ballads on X sucked. |

She's one of my favourite western singers ^^ All The Lovers is amazing!! It's even better than I thought it would be. I can't wait for the album. Stuart Price is a really good composer, and he did it great with Madonna's Confessions On A Dancefloor, so this album is going to be amazing~ And I like the cover and the whole Greek mythology theme. Although it looks like a perfume advert XD |
All the lovers is really catchy and easy listening. hopefully it can be a big hit like CGYOOMH

Chocolate is one of her best songs, and it's really sexy. Slow is pretty sexy too, but I don't like the MV very much. I can't wait for All The Lover's MV. It'll debut in one week! |

That's was really cool (I also liked the WILD remix ^^) While browsing the web I found some of the leaked tracks for the album (I also found the All The Lovers single but I can't link them since they're not JPOP.). They sound really neat imagine the sort of lyrical style of Body Language and Fever with the etheral eletronic pop music of I Believe In You. |

I really liked the PV and I like the idea behind it about love and peace. I like the it goes to the opossite side of what everyone is doing right now.
Also reminded me of Mylène Farmer's "Dégénération" (2008) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfhwHAHAex8 (it contains some nudity) it's very much the same idea from another point of view. They both rock =D |
I love Kylie!!! She's great. The new song, too. She's one of the few western artists I bought CD's from. I like her since Confide in me and Put yourself in my place (mid nineties?). So much pink! And colourful. I really like it.

Also, i know this sounds kinda uhhh stupid, but I just finally listened to Kylie for the first time EVER this morning. I listened to the albums "Fever" and "X" and I'm gonna go grab 'em on Thursday when I drop by HMV to get Aguilera's Bionic as well. Want this new album as well when it comes out next month. Btw, just how many albums does Kylie have anyways? |

About time there's a Kylie thread o_o I don't think most people realize how influential an artist she really is and that no matter the song, everything is served with quality and confidence. I couldn't ask for more :)
In a strange way Kylie is like Aphrodite, serving us with "All The Lovers", an anthem of love which the world so desperately needed in a time where everyone is so quick to wh*re up and sell out. |

She had botox, but that was a while ago. I think she looks more natural now, and way more 'unplastic' than other eras. She's 42 and she's quite good for her age, and it's hard to have those legs with that age lol

Kylie will perfom in Madrid this July 3rd for free in the Gay Pride Parade to promote Aphrodite. I think it won't be a huge concert like her tours, just few songs, like the SPLASH performance, but it's reli nice of her to perform for free ^^ |

i like the album but it's nothing special, only a few tracks stand out to me. i prefer X.

^X isn't that good imo. It has great songs like Speakerphone and Like a Drug, but overall it's quite boring. I think Kylie did a great work with Aphrodite, maybe it's because I preffer her dance tracks, but I think Aphrodite is way better than X. There's just one song that I don't like as much as the others, Looking for an Angel, and it's growing on me a lot xD

^what do u mean? its only one bonus track. if there was like 4 bonus tracks, that might be worth it (like with Fever), but if you consider the extra cost for Japan Editions, one extra song isnt worth it.
The one thing though that isn't on it that upsets me is they put the making-of footage of "All the Lovers" on it, but why not the PV itself? |
