Do "yeah yeah's" or "la la la's" in Ayu's songs ever bother you?
 

The la la la's were cute in some of her older songs like SEASONS and Who...

But I hate it when she says 'yeah yeah yeah' in her songs! She's been doing it a lot in her newer releases lol...it's bothersome to me :laugh.
And I especially hated it when she said 'yeah yeah yeah' and 'wowowo' in glitter :thud
I mean, I love that song...but it just grates on my ears when she sings those two parts!

So how about you guys? Does it ever annoy you when Ayu just sings random things like that?

the "yeahs" kinda annoy but I love when any singer says "la la la" hahah I don't know why I just think it's so awesome when they do that!

Nah, those la-la-la or yeah-yeah didn't bother me. I find them cute :yes

well, it would bother me if lalalala and yeahyeahyeah is the only lyrics in the song lol.

I love them, they give songs more personality. One of my favorites is the "ooo, yeah yeah yeah" in Last Links.

sometimes. i don't like the yeahs in mirrorcle world, i don't like the nononos in love n hate, and sparkle, i don't like the hos in microphone, and i don't like how she sings lalala for a good 45 seconds in moments in the beginning.

off the top of my head. besides those mentioned, i don't mind any other.

I like the lalala's and yeh yeh yeh's and stuff :P It gets the audience pumped at concerts like in evolution.

I also like the added live lalala's, yeh yeh yeh's and oh oh oh's to songs like Boys & Girls, INSPIRE and SURREAL :P

Not really. I kind of see it as an easy way to extend a song or fill up space.

not really. i feel that it might add on to the feel of the song. like glitter is a really fun song. so without the yeahs and wows i think it is gonna be awkward..

Actually, "la la la's" and "yeah, yeah, yeah's" don't bother me at all until someone complains about it, lol. It wasn't until I read a thread in ahs that I realized how much she says "la la la" instead of adding more words to end a song and now they're bothering me a bit, hehe. Not the ones at the end of Hanabi episode 2 though because that song is just perfect in every single way. :love

Also @ Ranma Matsuri, I like the 'yeah wo wo' in Hanabi ~episode II~ too btw. Actually, that part was what made me like the song! Now I wanna listen to it lol! *goes to listen to Hanabi ~episode II~*

Oh I wanted to make a topic about this some time ago but I was too lazy.

Some songs it really makes the song. EX: Moments
Some songs it ruins it.

But when she does so many YEAH YEAH YEAH WOAH YEEEEAH with Peco and Princess on tours then it really bothers me because it totally sounds like ****!

I don't really like the ones in Last Links either. LOVE the ones in Mirrorcle World near the end in the last chorus. It's like my fav. part!

i don't really bother if it's on the CD..
but when she sang together with peco n princess at the concerts as part of the improvisations..
oh nooo why always the same.. wow wow wo yeaaahhh~~~ yeahhh~~ like that..
it's kind of like the same for every concerts...
but i know that Ayu not really good in such improvisation though..

I personally love them.

But I am horribly embarrassed by them. What I mean is that I could NEVER show a song with "la la la"s or "no no no"s or "yeah yeah yeah"s to a friend, or anyone else for that matter. As I said, in general I really love them. But I understand that I think most non-Jpop lovers would think them INCREDIBLY lame. >_>

Maybe that's really weird of me, but there are some things in life that I am horribly self conscious about, and Ayu is one of them. >_<

Sometimes I find its good enough, like in glitter, SEASONS and ASFXX

but once its too long like in MY ALL and RED LINE, it bothers me a bit. But I'm sure it will be fun if in the concert.

When I first listened to her songs, it did. But I listened to her song everyday, and I'm quite used to it, even if it's her new release.

I really don't care. It bothers me when it's an artist that can't write lyrics, but it's not like she ONLY uses lalala and yeah yeah yeah in her lyrics.

No, that doesn't bother me, though it depends on the song how much I like it...well, I don't like Bold & Delicious's yayayayagaga..., you know. But for example Mirrorcle World's "wowyeah"-part is pure love. :luv2

Sometimes. They have no influence on my opinion about song though. But they are hella annoying in live perfs, because of Ayu's voice.

I guess if you listen to such songs back to back , then naturally it will grat on you

for me I don't tend to listen to songs that have similar throw in's of random words if not it does annoy me but other than that nope

No I usually really like them.. sometimes I like live versions better because of the yeah's and all ^-^

I just think it's funny that all of Japan thinks 'Yeah' is 'Yay' and 'Wow' is 'Woah'.

LOL I know exactly what you mean sugarbasil....I'm mainly iffy about showing people Ayu (I'm not Asian and I live in America) because of her vibrato...but the "yeah yeah yeahs" get me the most...to me they sound so...........sloppy? I guess...And well, a little lame. I'm sure a lot of my friends/peers would not care for it either lol.

I was really embarrassed around my bf at first too, but I got over it eventually. I don't try to force Ayu on him, but I don't hide her from him either.

And over the years, I've kind of just started to get over being so insecure, I mean, who cares what other people think? LOL
If they don't like it, then they don't have listen to it. It would be stupid for someone to think harshly of you just because you like something they don't like (and highly unlikely)...after all, everyone has their own personal interests :yes.

It wouldn't be an Ayu song without all the "La la las", "Wow wow wows", "Yeah yeah yeahs" and "No no nos"!

With these things filling up a song, I feel it really makes it more personal, especially when I see Ayu performs them on stage... (Note: "Moments", "HEAVEN", "WHATEVER", "evolution", etc.)

Sometimes it doesn't have to be meaningful to have a meaning,
sometimes the meaning lies in the emotion itself-------

Like when Ayu performs, we attended the most when we see her sing, right?

When I'm happy/sad/excited, all I sing is "La la la", and Ayu songs have it, so I'll sing an Ayu song~

I hate the woah woah woahs in Whatever. They seem so out of place and vocally ugly. They also seem to be too low in pitch. I would love to have them edited out in the future.

In most cases, I love them. The "la-la-la" in the beginning of "Moments" was one of my fav. And they sounded great in "Who..." too. Then again, I can understand why so many people dislike it.
As for the "yeah yeah yeah"s, they all sound great, especially in "STEP you". But not in glitter though.
And the "nonono~" in Sparkle and the "ho" in Microphone all sound pretty good too.

Oh yeah, Peco & Princess' "yeah"s in Bold and Delicious has to be the most annoying thing on the planet!

They're okay, some are really good. None ever made me hate the song though.

My favourites would be the ones in evolution, Moments, Sunrise.

I ESPECIALLY love the one in alterna. "Heeeeey, hey, hey, hey~!" That is just epic.

I remember Michael Buble saying that he added lalala into his song Everything so that people who didn't speak English could sing along which I thought was pretty sweet ^_^

lol I really liked the 'yeahhs' she hit in Rule towards the end, they were half screeched (in a good way) and half belted, so the ending result made me want to star in an action movie haha.

I guess this is fitting considering the song was made FOR an action movie.

I've just found that "uuuu yeeah" part in HANABI as totally annoying and not necessary. Kinda ruins atmosphere of the song.

sometimes "yeah" bothers me.

after watching some ayu concerts within the last week i realized that her ai's annoy me, during the beginning or instrumental part of her songs she pumps her fist in the air and goes "AI! AI! AI! AI!" that happens to annoy me. I know it's supposed to pump up the crowd but ugh.

how about MOON "wo.wo.woww..."? It sounds new to me but on the other hand, it is a bit long at the end of the song.

Omg, I love those lol they're (part) of what made me love the song. When I first saw the PV that's the part that stuck with me the most. I find myself humming it all the time. :D

I'm glad there are people seeing how those things add the sort of flavour to the song; it's really cool, there really are some songs I couldn't imagine without all those yeah yeah yeahs or la la las and stuff haha

I don't mind them, in fact, if Ayu stopped adding them I'd miss them. She adds the right amount, and doesn't go overboard with them like some artists like to do.

I just remembered the "whoa yeah yeah" at the beginning of is this LOVE? They add so much power to the song for me and give it even more of that rock edge. Love them. <33

Oh, there's also the wow wow (though it's actually whoa, whoa lol) at the end of UNITE! and STEP you, I like those a lot. :D

specially in the live versions, they pump me up, love them in Evolution and UNITE! from AT09 y scream and dance when I see or hear them :D
