Just watched Every Woman's Song.. The song and PV sounds reaaally nice.

LIFE is at #5 today... hopefully the position doesn't drop any further lol

Damn... I was expecting a drop from ANSWER since her sales have been dropping ever since her debut and ANSWER had Tegami as a booster, while LIFE had nothing. But THIS big?! XD

just #5? i wish she charting higher than that...

i think i'm most in love with Mad Scientist. i don't know...its kind of a corny song, but its so catcy. and i love the parts where she says b-b-b-back and ch-ch-ch-chemistry. :yes

I'm surprised that I actually enjoyed listening this album, since I didn't really like her recent work and last album. I guess I didn't have much expectations. This album is much more diverse than her past albums. Diverse in terms of style and instruments used, instead of the plain piano, bass and drums.

I'm loving the album. It's just as good as her previous albums and I love the English songs <3.

i really think #5 is very good. I think she's quite forgotten over the years...I havent heard something BAM from her. tegami was a standalone but was ANSWER well-received?

Answer was no. 1 but only sold 160k. That's 50k less than Today which was released 1.5 years before.

I'm thinking the gap between ANSWER and LIFE looks so big because of Tegami. That really saved ANSWER. Without the tie-in ANSWER might just as well have been just around 100k.

i think the low sales is because half of the album is in english...

i think she deserves more as well, however i don't think this album is as great as some of her others and no one has sales like they used to.

I don't think that's got anything to do with it. It's just natural progression. Her sales have always been dropping and this album has been released without any real hit and the previous single already dating from February. There was no momentum.

Besides, I love the album so I'm happy either way.

Sorry, it was one week late, but Angela's birthday was on the 15th! Happy 33rd birthday, Angela!

Oh I forgot she had a thread. I think LIFE didn't do as good because none of the singles were super strong (ANSWER had Tegami lol, that really helped ANSWER IMO).

The album itself is all right. I enjoy it. I love Unbreakable and What Are The Roses For? and Every Woman's Song and The Truth Is Like A Lie.

Not it hasn't. YesAsia just screws up a lot. They listed Perfume's Triangle album as having a US release...and when the date came, nothing happened. They also listed a US version of BoA's Hurricane Venus and that never happened. Probably another mistake. Although if its actually true this time I might get it.

She's never really been the type to stay in the spotlight... it's like BAM single. Nothing for 6 months. BAM single. Nothing for 5 months. BAM album. Rinse and repeat XD

I think LIFE is my favorite album of Angela's, I think Unbreakable and The Truth is Like a Lie are so beautiful. I hope she releases a new single soon.

How come she's always on Kouhaku though? I thought she didn't sell that well anymore these days..
Not complaining though, I prefer watching her perform over all those groups that can't sing live..

I could've understood it if she appeared in 2008 or 2009, what with Tegami and ANSWER being successes. But LIFE only sold like 50k, so yeah, her Kouhaku performance surprised me : /

Maybe she's especially popular with a particular viewer group they also need to cater to?

haha, i can't believe angela covered "my grandfather's clock!" i remember singing that song in my childhood music classes at school! i used to really like it as a kid, haha!

I like the cover of White. The songs are really good too. Her voice is beautiful, I mean, Angela's voice is always good, but it sounds a bit more soft in the album making it more angelic :)

You have no idea how much I love Kokuhaku... Everything about the MV, cover art and song is amazing. I haven't really followed Angela in a while, but man is she back. :D

The previews do sound great, the first half of the album seems to be stronger part of the record though, but we'll see very soon!

I've been reorganizing my itunes, reuploading albums so it has it original album info... so having artist names and song titles in kanji, etc rather than in romanized so with Angela... do you guys list her as アンジェラ・アキ or Angela Aki?

I know it is also purely preference.. but is one more proper than the other?

I have her listed as アンジェラ・アキ but I'm not even sure if that's correct.

They're also releasing a book, like a documentary i think, about the album.

The CD/DVD package is so shiny! There's no lyric booklet, but the lyrics are written on the side on the hardcover digipack. I need to find out how to post pictures, but I don't want to get a photo bucket/flickr account..

Who needs a best of when you have ANSWER. ;)

I was disappointed by BLUE. I LOVE Aiueo and Kokuhaku... and that's it. None of the other songs struck me. It's nice that she decided to broaden her sound and throw in some new instruments but I just... can't remember any melodies aside from the ones I already mentioned. Still hoping it will start growing on me but we'll see. :(

I'm not a huge fan of Answer, but I can say that Angie's covers are always better than the original. Knockin on Heaven's Door is pure ecstasy.

Listened to BLUE. Didn't leave an impression as hard as ANSWER or LIFE, but Kohaku is amazing.
