GIRL NEXT DOOR About the Band GIRL NEXT DOOR consists of three members. Vocalist Chisa, guitarist Yuji Inoue and keyboardist Daisuke Suzuki. Formed in March of 2008, GIRL NEXT DOOR debuted on September 3rd, 2008, with the single "偶然の確率" (Guuzen no Kakuritsu), peaking at number 3 on the Oricon Charts. Prior to the release, "Guuzen no Kakuritsu" was placed on several online sites starting from May 29th, 2008. As of July 2008, there were two million views. They are known for their upbeat, electronic dance music as well as their well produced videos and cover designs. Since their debut, GIRL NEXT DOOR has released 10 singles and 2 albums and they just celebrated their 2nd anniversary! But I'm confused as to why the PV version has a different cover than the one that was released already... is one of them the sleeve case and one isn't? or did they change it... hmm... Also i went to the PV filming today!! It was for Kaze no Capsule. But--I can't say anything about it :( I mean...they asked us nicely not to say anything... haha But even though I went, it started 2 hours late and I had to go home early, otherwise i'd miss my last train! We waited so long....outside...in the heat...in darkness :-\ But she was really pretty! And the song is great! :D But I'll update the first post (later...going to bed now! so tired :() |

even if it's a "live" PV, it looks much more high budget than shiwase no hikari, i think :P and i even like it better than Freedom's PV so far, lol. chisa looks great & the song sounds pretty nice too. i just really hope someone uploads the full versions of the videos soon!

Chisa looks absolutely gorgeous here. The vid feels a bit like a rehash of friendship though...maybe there'll be more in the other parts :P The song's nice.

Finally watched the new promotional video. It's not too shabby but it is quite cheap compared to what is typical to GND videos considering this is probably the most expensive pv of the three. Chisa's outfits look quite shabby compared to what we're used to seeing. However at least it looks fun and it's quite an interesting video to be fair. Apparently there were 400 dancers in this video...and they will apply for a Guinness record.

GND from day 1 always been getting high end budgets for their PVs but I noticed from this year onwards , things have changed for them
The last high end budget PV they made was Jump I guess avex feel they're not as profitable as what they hope for & they have allocated this aspect to other artistes in their stable list |

They're releasing their 10th single on December 15th!
It's a double A-side single with eurobeat remixes of FRIENDSHIP and Be your wings! And both songs have a video! And one of the videos will feature one of Japan's most famous hero's--but it doesn't say who...However, around the release date of the single, Ultraman and Kamen Rider both have movies being released, so I think it will be associated with that... It comes in 4 formats: CD CD+DVD (LIVE) CD+DVD (Music Video) CD+Goods featuring a collaboration character (limited quantity) :D Oh, and it's a bit sad for the sales of Ready to be a lady, but oh well. I enjoy the single. I got the CD only version. :) But I'm thinking of buying the other two versions... If I send in all three stickers of GALNECO I get a special Christmas gift card, or something... :-\ |

haha nice you follow the mindset as me xD . I used to get their singles but I stopped doing so as I notice the PVs will ultimately make the cut in their albums except you get ending credits at the end of each PV in the album
I have a nagging feeling they will release their 3rd album early 2011 since NEXT FUTURE was released at the beginning of this year :O then again , never say never |

I guess they want to get a new hit before the album. I must say that even if GND have a lower budget there is still great care in the production of their singles. The CD art is quite adorable :D
