It looks like he's only ever mixed ballads, or at least the majority of his work being ballad-y, so I think it's safe to say Virgin Road will be a ballad type of song. Kinda disappointed but I could be totally wrong and he could've made Virgin Road into the coolest electro-techno song :D *prays* |
wow, that's so nice of him to say that about her voice. i bet it sounded great like it does in crossroad and that's why he spoke so highly of it. i can't wait for these new songs!

SEVEN DAYS WAR must be some really high-profile song for both TK and Ayu..im intrigued. AND WOOTS Virgin Road!!!
and....meh if Virgin Road is really a ballad...haiz..but i guess, i wont complain if its a GRAND ballad. MOON was a rock ballad, crossroad is a rather 90s ballad, Sweet Season is a light ballad...so if Virgin Road is a really big ballad like forgiveness then...im fine. I just dont wan people to say that she keeps singing the same types within 2 months |

the fact that he mixed them makes me feel a little bit better.. usually it's always the same guy who mixes Ayusongs; so there are going to sound a little bit different for sure.. I wish we knew what type of songs they were. lately it's all been easy ballads and easy pop. hopefully there'll be something more....strong..here :)

They adjust the levels on all the instruments relative to each other, and sometimes add effects like reverb onto the instrument tracks.

Wow, Ayumi's fans are awesome!
The only thing I can say is that I drive 40 minutes each way to the studio every day and the only thing I've been listening to lately is "Virgin Road" and "Seven Days War". Not because of what I've done, but because I love the way Ayumi sings and the arrangements are fantastic. Sorry you have to wait and I don't mean to make you jealous. MY STORY was almost 80 minutes. I wish she would do that again even though a lot of people (including myself) feel that MY STORY is loooooooooooonnnng.
November looks like a long song according to the lyrics~ [it's the lyric sheet on the bottom] and do it again looks like an average length song. WARNING LARGE PHOTO. Spoiler:
I love the console markers that he has! "AYU / STRINGS / SYNTHS / $ [The money?]" AHAHA. There are also a bunch of markers with other labels like "Strings / Violin / Viola + Cello [?]..." and I can't see the rest. |

^just chatted, and just personally. I don't want her staff getting involved. if they got one look at the downloads section they'd try very hard to get it taken away. We also wouldn't want anyone else to know she's here or else there'd be a swarm of people trying to register. They'd probably have to close registration.
