Brazilian music site promoting Crossroad :O

Cifra Club, one of the biggest brazilian music oriented site (if not the biggest), mainly focused on lyrics, music videos and chord notations, posted a text talking about Ayu, Crossroad and put a link for people interested on listening the track on-line :O

http://www.cifraclubnews.com.br/noti...ign=divulgacao

The text basically explain the 50th single project, talk a little about the tracklist and about Ayu career, saying that she is one of Japan's biggest star with fanbases all over the globe, Brazil included, and says that even if her music is not officially released over here, her brazillian fanbase keep in touch with her news using internet^^

duque 15th September 2010 09:08 PM

In Brazil?! That's quite interesting...

Andrenekoi 15th September 2010 11:39 PM

^Well... she does have a "big" fanbase over here, I mean... I know +-10 people who knows her and her music that I first met on non jpop related places/sites... But mainstream attention is something new...

ohsixthirty 15th September 2010 11:54 PM

truehappiness 16th September 2010 01:21 AM

That's really interesting. Has this happened before?

I wonder if they're allowed to put the full version of crossroad up, haha.

This site keeps promoting K-Pop but it's the first time they promote J-Pop. Ayu just appeared in one brazilian magazine and in sports program. They was talking about the world cup and the japanese team had an ayu-fan. In the end of the program they showed a short part of "Fly high"

ownsarai 16th September 2010 01:42 AM

^wahh!!! Lucky. ; ;

Andrenekoi 16th September 2010 02:10 AM

Actually, sometimes TV shows here plays Ayu songs when they are talking about Japan. Once they put "evolution" and "Trauma" on background.

hud 16th September 2010 02:46 AM

^ Haha, just forgot about it.

Here's a CM of the TV show who talks about Japan. In the background it's playing "Boys & Girls"

I don't count Rule either and I'm glad that movie tanked over here so when she does get her exposure, a lot of people *hopefully* won't associate her with that fail. :P

waterballoon 16th September 2010 02:57 AM

wow this is so cool~ Globalization ftw

kagami 16th September 2010 03:01 AM

Cool. Ayu should perform in Brazil, she seems to have a decent size fanbase there. She shouls go to France too....in fact, she should just do a world tour :P

rakeru 16th September 2010 03:55 AM

Promotion is good! This is nice to hear.

Ayu_no_tenshi 16th September 2010 03:59 AM

I agree. I bet she will when she finally decides to retire, whenever that will be.

ren0210989 16th September 2010 12:53 PM

this is great and all, but am i the only one who noticed their mistake in saying it's her 16 year career? xD or did they count the pre-avex era n stuff? :3

Peruseusu 16th September 2010 01:04 PM

thx ^^ go ayu! ^^

TheBaronAndAyu 16th September 2010 01:04 PM

I think they are counting her pre-Avex years... They more likelly used her Wikipedia page to know how long she is around xD

About making a concert over here... I think she could sell out a smaller arena... maybe 7k people...

kagami 16th September 2010 03:05 PM

Wow, that many? I think she could easily do one that size in Europe as well...Ayu really needs to be made aware how many fans she actually does have overseas.

Andrenekoi 16th September 2010 03:17 PM

Her Orkut (a social network, like facebook) page has 6.678 members... Orkut is declining and her page already had more members... I think she could sell out a 7k arena in São Paulo if she announced early (so people from other cities could go). Miyavi sold out a 3,5k people, and her fanbase is bigger...

ImpactBreaker 16th September 2010 05:39 PM

Actually, I watched an ayu PV (ourselves) on a brazilian TV channel once. My father was watching it and then he yelled for me to come see it and tell who was itthat was singing lol JThey broadcasted many JPOP videos as well, but not sure if they still do:

jbrat2219 16th September 2010 06:09 PM

Doesn't Brazil have a HUGE Japanese community?

Andrenekoi 16th September 2010 08:23 PM

^the 2nd in the world, only behind Japan

Ranma Matsuri 17th September 2010 12:01 AM

^Wow, had no idea that's really cool. =)

ownsarai 17th September 2010 11:35 AM

Really? That's crazy! She really should perform in Brazil...then Europe, then the US! :P

kendelle 17th September 2010 02:49 PM

This is quite cool, I love how some countries just accept foreign music and seem happy to promote it :3 Brazil's Ayu fanbase is really lucky xDD

Now if only the English/US music industry was as accepting.....haha Thanks for sharing this, it's brightened my day :3

PS - I got a kick out of the website's "anti-troll" picture lol

yamadashun 20th September 2010 11:08 AM

cool~ maybe someday ayu will have a PV shot in Brazil :-)

Anna Willow 20th September 2010 07:58 PM

She has a pretty big fanbase here. I think she would pull an amazing gig if she performed here someday. Aural Vampire performed here this year (they're from avex too), some of my friends went to the concert and they said the crowd was pretty large and euphoric!

I can imagine here face when she sees the entire public singing along with her by shouting their lungs off xD

AyumiBest 21st September 2010 09:42 AM
