Band's Bio

Formed in April 2007 , BREAKERZ is a J-rock trio that is made up of 3 gorgeous & extremely talented guys : frontman vocalist DAIGO & guitarists AKIHIDE and SHINPEI .

BREAKERZ started off as DAIGO and SHINPEI's project . Meeting through a mutual friend and various recording sessions , they worked together to make a demo . DAIGO is in charge of music and lyrics while SHINPEI is in charge of arrangements .

In the span of 1 month , they created 40 songs . Later on , they are joined by DAIGO's longtime friend who has worked many times with him in his band , songwriting , playing guitar and singing chorus . That is AKIHIDE & the 3 of them joined together to form BREAKERZ .

The origin of the band's name is "壊SHITAI solid" , which means to have a "destroy the moment" feeling , in that there is a mission to push the limitations and genres of music in the future .

BREAKERZ's name was chosen by SHINPEI (YAY :D) . He chose the name because he stated that before the completion of a song , it gives the other members an idea of how their roles in the group is going to be like , be it whether you're a singer , songwriter or a composer .

Their music can't be described in just one word . It's a fusion mix of AKIHIDE's UK rock guitar sounds & SHINPEI's American rock guitar sounds which're both combined with DAIGO's somewhat sexy lush seductive voice xD .

The band's historic debut is on 6 June 2007 with their first single WAKE UP MY SOUL / THE TRAIN's GONE ... became available on iTunes Japan .

BREAKERZ is signed by ZAIN Records , a member of the Being Giza Group .

The trio made their major debut with their self-titled debut album on July 25th 2007 . Their first live performance took place at SHIBUYA BOXX on August 5th 2007 . BREAKERZ doesn't have a permanent bassist nor a drummer in their duty roaster , so they use various support members when comes to recording of their material & also in live performances too .

This's the success of 3 wonderful hot guys in their 30's supposedly (!!!!) & they have definitely come a long way since the beginning of their formation :heart

They might be rumoured to be their 30's but they're kids at heart at the end of the day :laugh

all 3 of them love each other , well probably way too much as evident to the gazillion fanservice rabu rabu moments between them . Oh guys will be guys what can I say ?

10 RANDOM FACTS ON DAIGO

1) His late maternal grandpa was the 74th prime minister of Japan ie. Noboru Takeshita

2) His oldest sister is Eiki Eiki & she's a mangaka (comic artist/cartoonist) . Eiki Eiki drew/published a comic book last year on 3rd June called Eiki Eiki no Buchaketai !! which centres on DAIGO & their late grandpa

3) DAIGO's famously well known for his WISH rock pose . On why he use the word WISH , it's because it derives from the word Wissu which's like a greeting that school students used , kind of like the Japanese version of the word 'hi'

4) In real life , DAIGO's a complete DoM (Mascochist) but onstage during live performances & in the band's PVs , he adopts a DoS (Sadist) personality

5) DAIGO is responsible for close to writing/composing (sometimes both but depends) 90% of BREAKERZ's material

6) 3 things he cannot live without - phone , iphone & gloves

7) Prior to the release of DAIGO FIRST PHOTOBOOK DAIGOING L.A , it was DAIGO's 1st visit to US where he went to L.A for 5 days to shoot/complete the photobook . In fact that was also the 1st time he ever stepped outside of Japan somemore :O

8) DAIGO has tremendous respect to Himuro Kyosuke (whom composed DAIGO's debut solo single MARIA when he was DAIGO☆STARDUST) , Acid Black Cherry's yasu , L'Arc~en~Ciel~'s hyde & holds them in high regard/esteem .

In fact BREAKERZ super respect ABC's yasu , so much so that DAIGO calls yasu Aniki / elder brother in his blog .

He's also good friends with Anna Tsuchiya , SID's lead singer/frontman Mao , GACKT & abingdon boys school's lead singer/frontman Takanori Nishikawa aka T.M.Revolution

9) Aside from WISH , from this year onwards , DAIGO has added another lingo on his list aka Kuraimu (pronounced as Climb)

1) AKIHIDE does not reveal which year he was born in , even though there're rumours that he's the oldest in the trio . It has been like that way back even when he was in the now defunt rock band FAIRY FORE

1) Just like AKIHIDE , SHINPEI does not reveal which year he was born in but there're rumours he's the youngest in the trio

2) SHINPEI's the only one so far in BREAKERZ that has not written lyrics for their discography as he tends to lean on the composing side of things at this point in time

3) SHINPEI has 13 guitars , in which 6 of them which are used to write songs at home & the rest are used for recording the group's material

4) His given name means "modest peace" (It was in order for him to become a modest & peaceful person . So his parents named him like so)

5) He's in B'z fanclub even though a lot of times during MC sessions , DAIGO said SHINPEI's not lol

6) SHINPEI always is if not the butt of jokes during their offshot clips , no thanks to DAIGO's antics & also sometimes AKIHIDE too :O

7) He's the proud uncle of a beautiful niece whose nickname is BOSS-chan & most recently this year , a nephew whose nickname is Agubi-kun . Sometimes he talks about them on his blog :)

The origin of Chappy's name is due to the fact that SHINPEI is raising a light brown puppy , since light brown means Chairoi in Japanese .

I don't know how good of an actor he is, so my guess is hes abit of it all
it'd be hard to be fake all the time.
It'd be funny if he acts the way he does on things like Arashi shows and then as soon as the cameras stop he becomes himself and its actually the DoS you see on stage.


I wonder what other rockers all think of him, I know GACKT said something about not knowing how to apprach DAIGO

well he's a talento so in a way or 2 , there's acting involved by him to a certain extent

I remember you said before that you feel he's the real deal when he's onstage while performing

then again it's not something I can say , only he himself have the answer to this

I remember I was watching the offshot for ABC's Recreation 2 , they featured yasu & DAIGO recording/covering Daitokai in the studio

you can look/see just how much respect DAIGO has towards yasu . yasu's not really someone that I would look again for a 2nd take (xD) but hey , the dude call yasu his aniki/elder brother on his blog so many times & also in DAIGO POP so you have to give him props for that :O

that would have been some very hot offshot clips

I just think he looks like hes truely happy onstage performing, you see him all happy and excitedly waving to everyone as well as rocking out. When I watch him onstage it just feels like he belongs, maybe other people see it differently but thats just my observation.

I think Yasu is cool, and good at his profession :D
It makes me happy to see him and DAIGO together :yes :D

I don't care for him regarding his looks, I'm not all about how people look, i'm a bit of a talent monger :innocent

I remember seeing Akihide admiring GLAY's (i think) drummer.

I really like seeing artists having admiration and giving recognition to other artists. :love

I can imagine DAIGO getting lost in the big forest setting being used in Sekai wa Odoru & calling the other guys to find him or something like that LOL xD

yeah it's a rock musician thing . That's why I love rock music & rock gigs where you get so fired up onstage & gets everyone pumped/charged up

he has been doing this way back when he was in JZEIL & let alone when he was DAIGO STARDUST . He could have quit but he chose not to give up & it's great that as each day goes , BRZ's growing in terms of strength in numbers

lol yeah looks are secondary xD . ABC do have some good songs in his discography :)

it's cute when the guys fanboy over certain musicians they admire , shows that it's quite normal ... somewhat cos here we're , supporting the guys & in return , they're supporting the very same musicians which inspired them to take this musicial route :)

it's only until I listened to some of his solo works which I realised doesn't mean someone looked o_o , I shouldn't give his/her music a listen as externally , everything can be so fake bake but it's their music which matters more at the end of the day

ah I have to thank DAIGO for teaching me this valuable lesson big time *O*

Thats what I like about Akihide, hes versatile in that he has the abilitlies to be amazingly talented, and spurt things like he does on his blog, as well as create things on his website, but not only do all this but he knows how to be a dork when he needs to be.

you know , I wish that they would have shown the bunny ears on its own before they put them on . It's still a mystery to me as to are they like hair bands like the spring party pink hairbands they donned during the MC for their spring party ?

when they were with the bunnies on music japan i got a real good look at shinpeis and it looked like a headband that is black and goes all of the way around hte head,

in this offshot i noticed you can see shinpeis tracks so maybe its a see through band which is why it hides so well

yeah I can safely say that I adore all their offshot clips which they started incorporating from GRAND FINALE onwards

Some are TOTAL waste of flim like the GRAND FINALE confession scene which was pure ~_~ & then for Gekijou , it was :roflmao

I thought hEaVeN's offshot would be boring since it's flimed on a green screen but nope :lmfao

I haven't found an offshot clip of BRZ which I say it's boring . Hey , even their Hikari documentary is loaded with epicness in the studio & that goes for FIGHTERZ's too xD

yeah its kinda surprisin that they can come out with things that make it interesting rather than just sitting there talking about things you don't really care for, its good that they make it interesting if not entertaining

there's a lot more talking involved this time round for both BUNNY LOVE & REAL LOVE's offshots

but then again , it's good that they mixed things up with epicness so to speak xD

Even though I made gifs from Arashis To Be Free offshot it was kinda boring, there was some of the fanservice moments with ohmiya and juntoshi but alot of it was just boring.
I think alot of arashi fans will say the same thing, as i know there a community who always make up there own version of events to make it more entertaining.

I think there are slight differences between all of them to make them more 'unique'
i think DAIGO's :alien are more pointed and triangular at the top whereas Akihide's :love are more rounded

maybe you should post screencaps on that haha

a pic can paint a thousand words as they say but yeah on 1st look the bunny ears on all 3 of them look the same but if you look closer , there're some subtle differences

Part 1 of TSD is epic fail . I was laughing so hard/badly until my mum came in & ask what's going on LOL

I don't know but it's hard riding a bicycle but the way DAIGO was riding it for today's episode alongside with Sakura , man it's tough for him

still it's no excuse for him to make things even more sillier than usual . Notice the TSD cast in the studio were all laughing so hard like seriously ? :roflmao
