f(x)'s krystal faints on stage.

Sorry if this was already posted/if there is an f(x) thread.

Krystal, a member of the girl group F(x), was rushed to the hospital after passing out in the middle of a concert on Saturday. The performance was at the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert at Seoul Olympic Stadium.

During the group’s second song, Krystal abruptly fell to the ground and was immediately moved off stage.

F(x) member Luna quickly calmed the crowd, saying, “Krystal has been under a lot of stress and fatigue and we hope that our fans understand.”

The concert continued with a performance by the next act, Wheesung.

F(x)’s management company, SM Entertainment, reported information later that day from the hospital she was staying in that the singer was in stable condition.

I think this is so sad. :(

hearted 2nd December 2010 02:28 PM

i seriously almost cried when i watched the vid ;_______; so heartbreaking.. you can already see she's struggeling from the beginning, and luna also said that she wasnt feeling well before hitting the stage. SM.. just... no. dont push your artists like that

i really love vic more after this btw

(and yes there;s an fx thread XD not posted there though~)

AyumiSEASONS 2nd December 2010 02:32 PM

yeah, I could tell she was struggling too. :(

miroro 2nd December 2010 02:58 PM

its just heartbreaking :(
i didn't see the fancam before, and now that i see it.. wow
you can see how she wasn't able to dance nor sing properly :(

it's a pitty that sometimes artist are pushed until their limits and things like this happen

JackieRos 2nd December 2010 03:55 PM

You can tell that she's feeling very tired

I'm so glad she's fine

AyuGAME 2nd December 2010 04:08 PM

wow...that's so...

i hope we won't hear any suicide news of korean artist again...

Lady~Deviance 2nd December 2010 10:03 PM

This is so upsetting. Poor thing. I hope she'll be okay.
I've fainted from exhaustion before and I promised myself to never let that happen again.

NintendoHTF1242 2nd December 2010 10:54 PM

Oh man, that sucks :/ This is when you know they're being overworked.

happiholic★ 3rd December 2010 03:23 AM

I don't know who is who in this band, and from the moment it started I could tell who was the one who was going to faint. She was clearly exhausted. Who allowed this poor girl to go on stage?

Also, was the voice over still going after they stopped singing? I've been thinking of looking into this group, but do they lip-sync?

emi♡ 3rd December 2010 04:24 AM

Every so often we get glimpses of how things are there.

I bet they're going to make her feel like crap about it too :no

TofuBunny 3rd December 2010 07:28 AM

^^ they haven't lip-synced in any live I have seen by them, maybe they did this time because it's a small event or because they knew that Krystal isn't in a good shape.

Sandy 3rd December 2010 07:39 AM

Oh, the video is so sad ~~ You can see hwo overworked she is, I feel so bad >.< I know that terrible feeling you have when you are feeling sick, it's even more terrible when you're on stage in front of, well, many many people.

AsukaRoses: I heard from people who were there, that they lip-synced some of the songs. But I think that's okay, I mean this vid kind of proves it, they need to take it easy. ~~

miroro 3rd December 2010 11:51 AM

i just saw one lip-synched perfomance from them, and it's this one

and it's totally obvious, because it's the cd track lol
but they don't need to do it, because their live vocals are pretty amazing

TofuBunny 3rd December 2010 02:49 PM

^ oh I missed that one ! But I don't mind them lip-syncing from time to time, their schedules are pretty hectic after all :(, they need to take it easy sometimes like sandy said

AyumiSEASONS 4th December 2010 09:43 AM

@Love Shine - I think she was trying to get help and they couldn't hear her over the track. The lips don't match up after she faints in the close up video

chu-lips 4th December 2010 03:35 PM

its almost same situation with ayu stadium tour 2001...when she fell from the globe n got to the hospital,,,n she kept on doing the concert with hurt legs,,,
that's a life of celebrity,,,,,poor them,,,

Ranma Matsuri 4th December 2010 11:52 PM

You mean Dome Tour? If you do, she did not fell from the globe (according to the documentary), she fell into a whole-kind-of-thing when checking the stage and then a staff member, trying to help her, fell on her.

but she went back n said the show must going on,,,,

SURREAL__RAINBOW 6th December 2010 02:03 AM

at least ayu didn't faint or injured on stage while performing... that's horrible.

poor this girl.

emi♡ 6th December 2010 02:14 AM

^yeah, I was telling my friend, cause he was like "ayu's fallen lots of times"

and I was like "not like this O_O"

Although she did fall down the stairs at her house last year...last year? lol...that wasnt good either...but Ayu, she's a workaholic, she chooses to work that much...

ayu kept on the show with injury leg,,,but no one know bout that,,according to the documentary,,,

visionfactory 7th December 2010 07:04 AM

^ that's true :yes

Pieces_of_SEVEN 9th December 2010 08:45 PM

I've never heard of this group but that is crazy!
I feel so bad for her.

miroro 9th December 2010 10:40 PM

you can't compare ayu's injure in dome tour with this
ayu injured her leg, went to the hospital and then, she decided to keep going on show.
Krystal was FORCED (most likely) to perfom.

it's not the same

tinka69 10th December 2010 08:13 AM

Yikes. Thats pretty bad. Why do we only see these kinds of things in the asian music arena???

it's not the same

it would be comparable,,
2000-2002
it was ayu peak,,ayu's golden era,,,
she was so exhausted around that time,,,
ayu was not as friendly as ayu's today becus of avex forced,,,
even can u imagine how to spent almost 2 hours with may be bruised leg n etc,,,n had to do energetic move to cheer the crowd,,
n if i remeber correctly she was fallen becus she was exhausted n had her 1st ear problem that causes her balance...

Midori-chan 10th December 2010 07:52 PM

Watching this made me so sad! :(
I don't know who this girl is, but I still feel so sorry for her. She looks so very tired in this performance!

I hope, she will be able to get some rest!!

TofuBunny 10th December 2010 08:01 PM

^^ Still, that was Ayu's own concert and she made the choice to perform with the injured leg. Plus she's a grown woman and Krystal is barely 16.
Tbh I don't get why we're pushing ayu into this discussion.

Kanzaki 10th December 2010 09:43 PM

^
Because she's being used as an comparison, and this is an Ayu forum? :3

i wondered the same thing i wouldnt allow somebody to go on stage knowing she is so tired and need to rest .they need to cancel all their next performances so the girl can rest for a couple days

as for the voice im so disapointed they do lip-sync but yeah it seems the song was pre recorded "live" than they act like they are singing it live . i dont see the point of going to see somebody "live" if everything they is already all "pre recorded"

I think AsukaRoses is trying to say that Krystal was forced to perform, while Ayu had a choice. Therefore the comparison is a bit different.

Kanzaki 11th December 2010 01:11 AM

^
Ah, I see. But where's the proof of that? I think the one forcing her was most likely herself. But who knows.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 11th December 2010 01:33 AM

ugh lol

All I wanted to say is that at least ayu's fans didn't know anything about the injury but for this girl they got to see her faint on stage, and that's just horrible lol

koumori 11th December 2010 01:38 AM

The music industry is so harsh that I think either Krystal felt under huge pressure to go on and perform, or she was forced in the fact they pushed her contract in her face and basically said 'you're replaceable'.

I wouldn't be surprised.

The asian music industry sounds incredibly ruthless, inhumane almost considering Krystal is barley 16.

Quite honestly I've been listening to f(x) a lot more now since I heard this news. Their managers are probably loving the publicity. But I also agree with Kanzaki88. I think she pressured herself to perform just as much as her superiors.

its pretty well known that in the korean music industry (or any industry) the show must go on, even if u dont feel well. i think if she didnt perform her manager would have scolded her :( its really sad

Kanzaki 13th December 2010 10:52 PM

^
If that's the case, then that's wrong. But I guess nothing can really be done about that. I just hate things like that...

emi♡ 14th December 2010 04:18 AM

She's only 16? O_O

She is so easily replaceable. How easy would it be for SM to kick her out, RIGHT NOW, and just say "oh she's having medical problems, and has decided to leave the group."

I think this concert was just, too big for her to miss....and it's really unfortunate that she had to be sick at this time.

TofuBunny 14th December 2010 08:43 AM

^ That's funny because basically the same thing seems to be happening to her band mate Amber, she suddenly started sitting during their performances instead of dancing when they were promoting back in May/June, SM said it was because she injured her ankles and it was no big deal .. But then she stopped performing with the rest of the girls and went back to the US .. And now SM insists that she didn't leave the group and that she's still resting because she's weak or something .. idk the whole situation seems shady =\, and Amber is also young, she's a 92-er.
