Love song sounds so different for Ayu, if I weren't watching the snippet I'd think it were a different artist. It's stuck in my head just from one listen, I'm more anxious to hear the full now. |

Today I'm liking the cd+dvd cover. I think its because of better quality. Overall I love the covers. They are much but very much better than R'n'RC covers =D. Ayu is very soft and I aprecciate that =). In other way I didn't like that much DREAM ON covers. Ayu is forcing so much the posing with her face. UN is very good on covers, but the photoshop Panasonic wannabe are too much for me =).
Anyway, actually I ain't very anxious for Love song =). I prefer to leak the whole album than just one song =). I'm more happy with the results (singles + covers + pvs) of Love Songs than RnRC =D. |

Love songs covers are a lot better in HQ. I love the one of her smiling, that one is really cute.
Love song...Gotta let that grow on me. It's gonna be a bit hard for me to get into the album since MOON was the only song I liked from this era :/ But I liked the instrumentation. The beginning reminds me of crossroad though. |
Well, i didnt love it in the first sound, her voice is kind of annoying, but im sure i will love it with time... There is a piano part that sounds like blossom

I like it a lot, its very different from a lot of stuff she's done.
The composition is a bit crazy lol But somehow it fits together with the song, and all the stuff happening in the arrangement. I really like it, it's very non-boring, and it's still very sweet, and it's almost like she's telling a little story. Good job Ayu. |

^ I second that. The song is very different from anything Ayu has ever done and the vocals are used in a different way than she usually does. Hopefully the rest of the album will follow suit.. this might be a new direction for Ayu :) Very interesting composition and arrangement!

Woah, so apparently at around 1:36 of the song, the melody from Last angel's intro verse kicks in but in guitar form! It's kind of barely noticeable though.
Hm, I wonder if this is a Tetsuya Komuro composition then. |
It's very different yet at the same time the notes she holds sounds like Last Links sped up. The verses are extremely good but the chorus failed to carry the momentum in my opinion. Overall still a very good song.

Wow, those bigger pictures of the album's covers are REALLY pretty ... the CD+DVD doesn't look quite as bad anymore, ahaha. I kind of want the USB version now, but for practical reasons I have to go with the CD version.
As for the song Love Songs... VERY UNEXPECTED!!! Very refreshing composition/arrangement. It has a nice touch of rock (I like how the guitar solo comes out of nowhere near the beginning), but it's nothing out of control. It's a new sound from Ayu, but it still has that Ayu touch to it. I like how it's not completely repetitive like songs such as Moments or Dolls. This is also a song I could listen to over and over again. Mm, the only thing I don't really like is her voice. My goodness, it sounds really bad in some parts :( |

Her voice in "Love song" sounds so reminiscent of her Duty/I am.../RAINBOW period...it's so brilliant! It's weird, but one of the things I love about Ayu is that her intonation of pitch class isn't always perfect in live performances, yet it just reminds me that she is only a human being trying to express her emotions through music.

After seeing the covers in bigger sizes, I like all of them, the CD+DVD cover looks better. I've just heard Love song, and I like it, a lot. I'm looking forward to hearing the other new songs.

First time listened it, it was a bit boring, but when i listened a second time, it just became better and better! It's awsome. It gave me the feeling of NEXT LEVEL (song) but less electronic, more emotional, but way better. I AM IN LOVE with it, can't wait for the other songs! |
I think the weird artifacting of the first leak of the covers really didn't allow people to see how pretty they were. Thankfully the larger versions are so clear!

Love song is nice, but her singing style is something I have to get used to.
The idea truehappiness had seems fitting. The title feels a lot better with such a meaning, too. :laugh |
I think I have to get used to her singing style in Love song. It doesn't wow me (probly because her vocal is quite unusual this time), and I hope it will grow on me later on :).

Love song doesn't really sound similar to any of her other songs. Did she do similar genres before? Of course she did. Could I tell it's an Ayu song not knowing she was singing it? Sure. Not a big deal though, both her voice and style are very recognizable. No one really makes stuff you could hardly say they've made it.
I also can't see what's so different about her vocals? xD The songs so far would blend nicely on Rock'n'Roll Circus which is a good thing <3 |
^For me the guitar at the background music sounds like last links, at least that style.
The soft, slower parts remind me at moon, but more uptemto, and the violins in Love song remind me of moon. And the song has for me the roughness of crossroad. so that is why it reminds me at it. |
For some reason, the piano part feels VERY reminiscent of blossom. I really love the guitar part somewhere in 1:40, that part feels the most epic! I could just imagine them using that part as the very grand opening of next tour, if only, haha.
There's also hints of Last Links, which I happen to really love too! |
