I think regarding the lashes thing, MAYBE it might help if she wrote about stubble and lips or something but I think lashes and bangs might be easier to write as a lyric in Japanese~

^ I think writing about lashes and bangs are even more sentimental because they are parts of the person one would not be able to really see clearly unless..you're close by..and it further highlights the detail of the person looking because these are strands of hair...

I suppose maybe Ayu was trying to make the features ambiguous so that it could be for a boy or a girl? Plus, it's not uncommon in Japan for guys to have bangs. Some of them have rather "feminine" short cuts that are typical for them.

I was totally mistaken about this song. The foreign and 90s vibe to it, it sounded like it should've been in RnRC album...definitely one of my few favorites in Love Songs, next to Virgin Road, Love Song and Do It Again.
