ok watching the pvs (specially in love song and crossroad) ...is very visible that´s ayu´s lips are bigger.... I think that we can finally say that she has collagen.....that´s sad...she´s loosing her identity

somehow she looks normal in the lives and makingoffshoots videos though ..

I don't know but I don't think it's collagen lol. I can't say for sure, but I think it's just the way they put lipstick/gloss on her and it can have that effect? I'm not sure though.

Something about her face in general has been odd this year. But, like, I don't know how to explain it, but her cheeks and chin seem more pronounced and it really does look like she has collagen injections x.x

(Honestly, though, with her face, it's probably just due to her aging lol Smoking cigarettes/drinking too probably don't help either)

I think it's the way of applying lip gloss plus photoshop because I've noticed this...look on other women who do not have botox or collagen injections.

it's the way her make-up is done. I was watching old lives from 2004 the other day and her lips looked just as big with the lipstick/gloss she had. never underestimate the power of make-up, especially with asians.. they have so many tricks to make their eyes/lips appear bigger without surgery it's unreal.

about her losing her identity.. I don't think so. have you even read the lyrics to any of the songs on her new album?

They've just changed the way they do her makeup. It's really subtle sometimes, but it makes a big difference. From year to year, the way they have done her makeup has changed and it has changed her appearance a lot.

Like nowadays they seem to use a lot of eyeliner and mascara along with fake lashes... they used to not use so many, but nowadays they're almost always there. Lip plumper / lip gloss also seems to be used a lot more often and because she seems to pout more, her lips seem larger.

Considering that she's stopped drinking insanely and has been on a "MY VOICE IS SO IMPORTANT" craze with her health products/humidifiers/etc... I think she stopped smoking at some point in 2004 or 2005 and only drinks casually nowadays.

Let me tell you. I have a serious pet peeve about my lips. I always think they're too small or too weird shaped or too dark or too this or too that. Some days it drives me insane. So I have taken to the use of lip plumper and different shades of lip gloss, and it does make a difference, especially if used liberally.

The only thing Ayu should watch for is that, with most lip plumper, it uses cinnamon which actually irritates the lips, causing them to swell and "plump". Excessive use of lip plumper can cause serious irritation and harsh reactions in and around the lips... so I hope this doesn't happen to her.

iirc, she had her wisdom teeth removed around the filming of crossroad, so it's no wonder why her lips appeared bigger; her mouth was probably completely swollen, not to mention makeup. :laugh

She could have had collagen injections though...recovery time is not a problem with those at all. She could have gotten them while she had her wisdom teeth pulled lol

BUT that doesn't mean you should underestimate the power of make up combined with photoshop, because...you can seriously change ANYTHING with that combination.

I'm not one of those people who think Ayu would never get collagen but I think the reasons I listed are more likely considering the several pictures of her without make up recently show her natural self and I don't see any signs of collagen, not that I'd know what they look like to be honest xD;

Also, just looking at pictures of her in the past shows that her love of huge lips is nothing new.

So those are just a few things I found in like 5 minutes. I really think that either a) it's just something she's always gone in and out of being into, or b) her lips are naturally bigger and her makeup artists want to show them off.

She's making the duck face more, and she looks like she's lost some weight. The crying part of Love Song I swear she looks like this one Drag Queen... No offense meant to Ayu (more so because I do happen to love the look of that particular drag queen..), but they have the same really high cheekbones that looked way too exaggerated for me n that scene..

That and there are lip glosses and lip sticks MEANT to make your lips look more plump. I think she's just using them a lot lately. :P

I know the A BEST 2 covers weren't everyone's cup of tea but I just have to say they really emphasize how STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL her face is...

As everyone else has said, it's just make-up. Ayu has taken to lining outside her lips recently (though she has done it in the past before too) and she is wearing a lot of lip plumper. Pics of her her with no/ very little make-up show she looks exactly the same as she always has.

If you ask me, personally I think, these lips look absolutely natural. These close-up should end this discussion, it's too obvious that people are creating new plastic surgery rumors for no real reason.

I don't care personally, because if she has had work done, it's in her favor. And if not, she ages well.

I found Ayumi really ugly in her old, old modeling shots when she was younger, and I never found her attractive until around 2004. She looks the best she ever has in 2008-2010 imo.

Yeah, they actually contain a mild poison that will cause your lips to puff up in reaction. I tried one once because it was the freebie in a magazine and my lips stang like a mofo. It really sucked xD

I think it's a combo of that lip stuff coming back into fashion along with big, full and pouty lips along with Ayu's general fashion direction. She wants to look more suited to upper fashion than the casual look she had years ago. As such she does overdramatic facial expression by nature :P

Sure she maybe had some collagen too to minimise wrinkles but it's so freaking common that it's not such a huge issue. Besides, she still has tonnes of facial epression, so she didn't have enough to freeze her face or anything lol

yeah, ayu naturally has full lips, so she really doesn't need the lip plumper and stuff or else they'll just look way too big sometimes. you gotta admit in pics like these they look pretty off and make it look like she got work done:

I dont think doing any plastic or collagen or knife-work is at all "losing identity".

many people in the general public (not fans, but just people) think she has done it anyways, so this case is no different from what people think, whether or not it confirms the rumor.

maybe if she used another brand other than Rimmel London her lips wouldn't look like she ate jalapenos or something lol

Really bad example. Only real photoshots from Paparazzis or fans are usefull, because magazin photoshots etc. are just the result of computer technology. You can fake everything on professional Photoshop works, so why not just post unedited pictures like I did?

i became to see her lips weird since this summer i was sure that she has botox because in love song pv her lips looks so,so,so weird and BIG,but about the pics that shisheido put...if are real photos of this year i think that the BIG lips of love songs era only are effect of the make up.

I asked my aunt what she thought and she agrees that it's probably just make up~ ^_^ She said that Ayu wears so much make up that no one really knows what she does to her face. Soo I guess the general opinion of (at least my aunt's friends) youth in Japan isn't really sure :laugh

The collagen rumor, i don't know about that, at least she told us in a TAblog she drinks it.
And collagen injections i think she use it, it's an injection, and you barely have skin reactions on the injections. Such an injection sessions taken about 30 minutes, so it pretty simple to use it without it being noticed.

So surgery, i don't think so, but collagen injections, I think so.

What appears on the outside means just about nada... If ayu wants to do something to her body,that's her choice... Who are we to make judgement of that? Okay, seriously? We've had like 3 people here show proof of her having large lips many years ago, or her lips being normal now. Collagen doesn't just fluctuate in and out of appearing in your lips. If she had gotten collagen, her lips would look like they do on the GUILTY cover all the time. Period.

AND, let's just pretend she did get collagen. That's basically the most basic, no-fuss procedure you can get done. It's outpatient and done in injection form. It probably takes longer for her to do her freaking makeup every day. That's hardly 'losing her identity' since she'd just do the same thing with lip plumper constantly, and as I've said before, excessive use of lip plumper would cause more harm to her mouth anyway.

Either way, no one should care, nor should they judge her.

idk, I think it's weird how sometimes people just say things like "yeah she had another nosejob recently" or "yeah she totally got a face lift recently, it's so obvious" not just with ayu, but other artists that are in the spotlight 24/7. it's like, if they did do this stuff when did they have the time? we're seeing them at least once a week and they're not all bandaged up from surgery. and if she had injections in her lips they would look really puffy all the time, not just in a few shoots/PV's.

I don't think she's had collagen. I'm not saying she never will, but her lips keep going back and forth between OMFG HUGE and perfectly normal (usually depending on how candid the pic/video is). It's not consistent enough to be a long-lasting procedure.

It's very likely due to lip plumper (plus loads of Photoshop in still pictures). I don't like the look--especially that poofy pout. It looks too forced. Hopefully the trend will pass and Ayu will look normal even in magazine shoots again. :bsigh

Oh, and you know what? I would probably have a big problem with Ayu getting surgery, or even a "light" procedure like collagen or botox (no, I don't feel the same way about getting teeth fixed). But it is Ayu's body, and Ayu's self, and she can do what she wants in that sense. I'm not going to judge her character for it. She'll always be my inspirational Ayu. :heart

Oh, and one more thing! Ayu is one of those people whose facial features can look drastically different depending on makeup and lighting. Like, UNBELIEVABLY different. Getting your wisdom teeth out shouldn't make any kind of permanent change to your appearance. Yes, they can cause swelling for a few days (I had mine out a few years back btw), but I doubt Ayu would have done filming while suffering from visible swelling. If her face looks a bit thinner, it's probably due to lost weight. Especially considering how busy she is.

Also, I don't think she's had botox either. Or if she has...it was VERY well done. Because her face is still so expressive...I mean look at that wide smile she has in LA fan pictures. Botox basically paralyzes your muscles. Even a small amount of it would show as a kind of restraint in facial movement, if she had it.

Yeah, she showed us her natural nails a while back. Not a big deal. Any normal person who wore as many fake nails as Ayu would probably have uber damage, but not Ayu. Same goes for people who color their hair as often as Ayu does. I think it probably has to do with the maintenance and the staffers she's got working on her hair/makeup/nailist stuff. They're all world class at their crafts except maybe Minazo... haha. But even then he learned from an expert like Bancho.

I don't think Ayu wears her fake nails for that long anyway. Sometimes she changes them twice a day or more so there's no time for damage to take place. Also, for the time that she's not really in the public eye, I think she probably leaves the fake nails in the box or wherever they're stored with her natural nails out.

If I ever see Ayu face-to-face, I'm gonna ask what hair products she uses, and if she could gimme a bottle of it LOL
