Tasked 16th January 2011 02:49 PM

most of the songs are ballads? what? NO :p

nanakopy87 16th January 2011 02:54 PM

LOL.tragic ballads with majestic background accompaniments XD

Yukitora 16th January 2011 03:01 PM

Huh? There are like... 2 or 3 ballads in this album...

freedreamer 16th January 2011 03:22 PM

LOL..teens screwed up on this one :P

waterballoon 16th January 2011 03:25 PM

well it was still a cute review :)

jiarongisme 16th January 2011 03:34 PM

LOL. "lots of ballads" ALL. THE. TIME.

They said that RnRC had "lots of ballads" too. Sheesh.

asmAyumi1992 16th January 2011 03:53 PM

Oh~ SG always comes first! Where's Malaysia? :grumpy

absolutely! it's so funny, because i would only consider MOON and Virgin Road as ballads.. the rest are.. BALLADS AS WELL?

i am sure the person who wrote the review OBVIOUSLY did not listen to the album. -_- and Love song has folk influence? oh wow.

but for 4 happy faces. i am happy. :)

kinix 16th January 2011 04:18 PM

ermm title track Love Songs? Did they get a bootleg? lol

MissElin_ 16th January 2011 04:18 PM

Wow, ppl buying this album based on this review will feel tricked when most of the ballads aren't there... ;P

KarenPang 16th January 2011 04:22 PM

see , this's 1 of the reason(s) why I stopped buying local magazines anymore ~_~

Larisa-chan 16th January 2011 04:41 PM

Mm... 5 ballads on a 16 track album... (I count Crossroad, Moon, Sweet Season, Virgin Road, Seven Days War). Unless this person just listened to the singles, you can't say this album is mostly ballads. ;/

Kazeyomi 16th January 2011 04:53 PM

how about no? :laugh
I wonder if he/she really listened to the album to. But overall it's a nice review lol.

LacusClyne 16th January 2011 05:09 PM

ballads? folk music????

hmm....

are we talking about the rght album?

AyuGAME 16th January 2011 05:18 PM

a little (or a lot) late...i just got my copy of Love songs...
and finally i hear all tracks on this album...
i don't think there are a lot of ballad song, IMO there are a lot of medium beat songs!
i love this album, really different from what she has done before, no wonder that Japan kinda hard to receive this album, because the melody and arrangement is just so different. not a mainstream at all...but i love that ayu still true to herself and make something that not mediocre at all...

Chibi-Chan 16th January 2011 05:19 PM

LOL

Misa-chan 16th January 2011 05:28 PM

This is stupid, Singapore's grasp of J-music has gone down the drain.

Oh, wait, it went down a long time ago. :P

kiseki89 16th January 2011 05:46 PM

4 stars out of how many?
Is my definition of folk music different from.... the reviewer?

love in music 16th January 2011 05:53 PM

LOL

terra 16th January 2011 06:01 PM

Is that article like being posted randomly on that section?
It's far from valid.... -_-

jbrat2219 16th January 2011 08:36 PM

What a lazy review.

Luja. 16th January 2011 08:45 PM

it'd be a nice review.. if the "mostly ballad"-thing was true.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 16th January 2011 08:49 PM

I hate when reviews are written by people who don't know enough to write them. Lol thanks though

.. That's actually not that crazy, I can clearly hear it in some tracks.

Like a more traditional sound, the sound you would hear as the background music for a fantasy game or movie. A few songs on the album have a "folk" sound like that at times, like Love song, Like a doll and November.

rakeru 17th January 2011 12:39 AM

Tragic ballads? Oh yes please! I wish the review had been a little more in depth, though it's praising, so I can't complain.

4/5 but still the review doesn't justified the rating ~_~

it's a good rating but it's downright a lazy one

LOL xD , I stopped buying local magazines a long time ago because of this ~_~

emi♡ 17th January 2011 03:21 AM

:roflmao

well at least it's a positive review? lol

and yeah...definite folk influences...but probably not intentionally lol

Jwiz 17th January 2011 04:10 AM

The reviewer should be fired. But again, it's Teens magazine...what do you expect? :D

erika_ayu 17th January 2011 06:10 AM

Haha I somehow felt that there were many ballads too XP
but they are all awesome so I don't mind

neuteka 17th January 2011 11:24 PM

I think this reviewer forgot to listen to the album

(miss)understood 18th January 2011 01:19 AM

"She back."

brener 18th January 2011 03:25 AM

nice xD

CHE.R.RY 18th January 2011 07:12 AM

Um like a couple others said, I don't think it's that far-fetched to say that Love song has a bit of a folk sound to it...Idk I kind of got that vibe from it :shrug.

But also, like everyone else, I disagree that Love songs is mostly ballads...the second I read that I was like..'uhhhhh'...(actually as soon as I saw 'she back' xD). But I think it is fair to say that everyone perceives things a bit differently at times. And not to mention that this review doesn't really go in that much depth either <.<...

I know right!! I instantly rolled my eyes and felt sad that my fellow countryman/woman wrote this. :rolleyes

KarenPang 18th January 2011 09:26 AM

this's how you should write an album review , Teens :o :rolleyes

http://karenpang.blogspot.com/2010/1...ove-songs.html

instead of writing 1-2 paragraphs for an album , that should be more suited for a single ~_~

evolution 18th January 2011 02:36 PM

anyone knows why the album has not arrive in singapore?

Pieces_of_SEVEN 18th January 2011 05:57 PM

Ughh lol

joshuapeterson 18th January 2011 09:25 PM

Seems like the reviewer didn't even listen to the album. xD

Bad Wolf 18th January 2011 10:35 PM

The only way I could see someone thinking "folk" when they listen to Love songs is if they paid attention to the guitar -- and nothing else.

The album definitely isn't all ballads, but there is something soft and tender about each song. That's not the same as a ballad, clearly, but my impression of this album is something reminiscent of, well, A BALLADS, truth be told.

But oh, this is silly.

AyumiBest 19th January 2011 07:33 AM

When I saw "She Back" I knew it would be a lazy review.

C+R+E+AYUMI 19th January 2011 08:13 AM

I don't think who wrote it has listened to the whole album..ballads tsk

yoshino 23rd January 2011 07:19 AM

LOL. thanks for sharing.
but can't believe they say this is a ballad album. Maybe they really dun listen to the full album at all. HAHA.

AyUmIXx 23rd January 2011 08:48 AM

bahaha did the reviewer actually listen to the album?
it's not mostly ballads lmao~

rusuke 28th January 2011 04:34 AM

Nyay! "She back" Nobody's perfect, OK.
But I think the writer should at least listened to the album first if he's serious with his work.

while I agree with what a nice album it is, lol forever at the fact (and good for you) that you didn't buy this sad excuse of a magazine. not only can they never print good english (she back with) but they have the worst reviews ever. please shoot the reviewers/interviewers/publishers of teens, Karen. I will get you out of Singaporean jail.

I know tell me about it , the standard of the local media here reviewing jpop material has gone down the drain literally

this's how you should write an album review ~_~ -> http://karenpang.blogspot.com/2010/1...ove-songs.html

I stopped buying local magazines given such pathetic if not lame/lazy reviews that they write for jpop albums

& LOL I gladly do that on your behalf 8D :innocent

pepper 28th January 2011 06:36 AM
