Ninomiya Kazunari makes a return on “Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen”!
Back in December, tokyohive reported about how Arashi member, Ninomiya Kazunari, made his very first appearance on the animal variety show, “Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen“. Fangirls and animal lovers alike couldn’t get enough of his guest appearance, so Ninomiya made a return to the show for its January 22nd episode. Just like in his previous episode, the Arashi star went out with the female comedian duo, “Harisenbon“, to look for cute baby animals. On this broadcast, however, one particular animal got the especial attention of the Arashi star. Ninomiya received a letter from fellow groupmate, Aiba Masaki, in which Aiba introduces a cute female kangaroo baby to Ninomiya. The baby was still unnamed, and so Aiba had asked Ninomiya to pick one for her. Considering how it was so close to groupmate Sakurai Sho’s birthday (January 25th), Ninomiya decided upon the name, “Shoko”, in his honor. Ninomiya Kazunari, Matsuyama Kenichi aim big with worldwide premier of “GANTZ”
Arashi’s Ninomiya Kazunari and actor Matsuyama Kenichi went on a whirlwind promotional blitz on the 20th, taking part in special events and stage greetings for their new movie, “GANTZ“. The movie, which was released in the U.S. on the 20th and will be released in Japan on the 29th, has been garnering attention the world over, due to the popularity of the original manga series. On the morning of the 20th, both Ninomiya and Matsuyama held a stage greeting event in Tokyo at Roppongi Hills. Immediately afterwards, the two travelled more than 6,000 kilometers to Los Angeles, and held a second stage greeting for American fans at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The Hollywood stage greeting was actually GANTZ’s world premier, as the event was broadcasted live to 334 theatres across the U.S. During the event, many of the questions addressed to the two actors took on very large possibilities, such as the chances of an Oscar or an Academy Award nomination next year. When asked these questions, Ninomiya gave a very direct response: “If we are nominated (for this film) we’ll be really lucky. This time, I think that the screening (of the film) across the U.S. helps to extend our work far across to different people, so there are many opportunities for our work to be recognized.” With sparkling eyes and great enthusiasm, Matsuyama addressed his thoughts about the American reception of the film. “Looking at the all reactions here as you watched the film, I have no doubt this was a winner!” GANTZ was undoubtedly very popular overseas, with tickets for the premier screenings being sold out almost immediately in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The event at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood saw more than 400 fans gathering to buy tickets in a panicked scramble. It was apparent that Ninomiya’s earlier appearance in “Letters from Iwo Jima” and Matsuyama’s huge role as antagonist “L” in “Death Note” gave both actors a definite advantage when promoting their new movie. Ninomiya also spoke to the crowd in English, expressing his gratitude for such a warm reception. “I am very honored to see so many fans watching the movie across the country. I hope to see everyone again with the release of the second part of ‘GANTZ’“. The movie will be shown in 21 countries worldwide as well. I watched the "Scene"-Tour yesterday and it was sooooo, sooooo great! I think that it was even better than their "Anniversary"-Tour last year.
But that's just my personal opinion!!! The tracklist was amazing and their voices sounded great! You could see that all of them were having a lot of fun and they all looked so very adorable, very cute and very handsome (jup, Arashi can be all of this at the same time! :D). i've only seen the solo performances so far, but first i HAVE to say: MATSUJUN'S SOLO PERFORMANCE WAS TOTALLY EPIC! :luv2 :blove :smitten the whole video game screen was too hilarious! he kicked out nino! :roflmao omg that was just too amazing. then the performance started and matsujun & his backup dancers....:dead this was totally a matsumoto jun performance, like seriously. he's such a dork but SO HOT at the same time! :weep too gorgeous. now i know why he'll forever be my #1! :heart
sho's performance of T.A.B.O.O. was AMAZING, as well! he is just so hot! :luv2 the dancing & everything was just so perfect. really really hot! :lech aiba's performance of Magical Song was TOO ADORABLE! :smitten his glow in the dark jacket took me by surprise! i'm like "....:rubeyes" LOL. i loved his dance & i loved that little solo he had during the song. aiba will never fail to be cute. forever & always he will be adorable! :heart and hot...:lech ohno & nino's performances were also amazing, although ohno's performance was kinda simple compared to the rest. i liked how they changed up the song a bit, though. shizuka no yoru ni is still so beautiful! and nino's performance was super cute, too! :heart but wow, his pants were baggy, LOL. :roflmao still cute, though! i'm watching whatever else i can manage to find on YT later tonight, but so far this tour is super amazing. like, even though arashi are touring at the same stadium each year, each tour is so different! and they really step it up every year! that's one of the reasons why i'll always love them so much! :smitten |

JCB’s 50th year anniversary CM starring Ninomiya Kazunari

There are two versions for the new CMs, a “1961 version” and a “Harisenbon version”. Both versions are simple in format and show Ninomiya promoting JCB’s 50th anniversary by using a numerical formula and a porcupine fish (Harisenbon) as examples. Arashi will attempt to set three world records starting tomorrow

The group talked about their new commercial line up for KDDI’s Android au mobile phone IS03 at an event in Tokyo this morning. Sixty versions of their new mobile commercial will go on air tomorrow in attempt to break the following world records: “Most number of versions of a TV commercial advertising the same product broadcast on regular TV within 24 hours”, “Most number of versions of a TV commercial advertising the same product broadcast on one pay-TV channel within 8 hours”, and “Most number of versions of a TV commercial advertising the same product broadcast within one 30-minute TV show”. The challenge will begin on January 27, with Space Shower TV being the one pay-TV channel, and the “Music Lovers” TV show – to be broadcast on January 30 – to be the one 30-minute show. It has been reported a special website, android-au.jp, will showcase all 60 commercials from 11am tomorrow, Japan time. At the event, Arashi member Jun Matsumoto smiled confidently at the group’s challenge. “We put everything we had into every commercial, and it was a lot of fun. I hope people can watch them,” he said. Each commercial introduces a different feature or application on KDDI au’s Android smartphone. Aiba-san says his family is his rock. “I’ll call them up a lot to ask, ‘do you want to go out for dinner?’, and we’ll go out as a family. My family runs a Chinese restaurant and the other day they asked me, ‘what should we put on the new menu’ (laughs). How am I supposed to know. “Just recently, my little brother surprised me by saying he was going to get married. I’d met his girlfriend a number of times, and she’s had dinner with us, but, I can’t help but feel that he beat me to it really easily (laughs).” Having just turned 28 himself, Aiba-san contined to tell us about his reaction. “I’d always felt that marriage was something still way down the line, but now it feels quite close,” he said. Arashi’s leader Ohno Satoshi gives first “Otoshidama” to the members

The corner in which Ninomiya made a guest appearance on was “Dokumitsu Taidan“, and he talked with one of the main hosts of the show, Tokumitsu Kazuo. During the talk, Ninomiya confessed about his “first surprise” of 2011. According to Ninomiya, the “first surprise” happened during JE’s traditional “Hatsumoude (first shrine visit of the New year)”. Every year, Johnny’s boys receive “Otoshidama” from their big senior, Higashiyama Noriyuki of Shonentai at the shrine, and Ninomiya says that receiving “Otoshidama” from Higashiyama makes him feel that a New Year has come. However, this year, Arashi’s leader, Ohno Satoshi, started giving out the “Otoshidama” to the members which was for very first time. While other Arashi members were confused by Ohno’s gift, he said bashfully, “It’s because I turned 30 years old.” When members refused to take the “Otoshidama” from Ohno, he said, “It’s okay. I want to give this to you guys.” Ninomiya also confessed that Ohno’s “Otoshidama” was ￥10,000 per member. Arashi to challenge Guinness World Records with 60 CMs for au
Popular boy band Arashi attended the screening of au’s newest Android commercial on the 26th, where they revealed some very ambitious plans. According to Oricon, Arashi will be attempting to break three Guinness World Records with their latest series of endorsements for the Android phone. These records include: broadcasting the most versions of the same CM within twenty-four hours, broadcasting the most versions of a single CM within eight hours on a single channel (more than fifty-eight), and broadcasting the most versions of the same CM during a thirty-minute television program (more than ten). Arashi will attempt to break the twenty-four hour record on the 27th of this month, and will simultaneously attempt the eight hour record on Space Shower TV. The thirty minute record will take place during the Music Lovers episode scheduled for January 30th. During the CMs, the members of Arashi will introducing some of the various applications and and features of the Android smartphone. “We had a good time putting all our efforts into making these… I’m sure you’ll see it too,” said Matsumoto Jun with a smile. In spite of the huge number of commercials, Aiba Masaki also seemed positive about the result stating, “Shooting these CMs was so much fun that when we finished, it didn’t feel like much.” One of the new features that Arashi will play with during the CMs is a Google Translate application, which translates foreign words via voice into Japanese. “Ninomiya (Kazunari) loves it,” said Aiba. i guess the people behind au by KDDI decided this. what better way to promote these cell phones by using arashi? :laugh it's good exposure, lol! trying to break a world record just adds more publicity to it, i guess? to get everyone hyped up. :P

i didn't really love Crazy Moon's PV. i liked the dancing! but i didn't love the scenery too much. matsujun's hair wasn't helping either, LOL. but i think Ashita no Kioku was the much better PV of that single, IMO. :)
i'm never picky with any of my j-pop, but i dunno why i'm kinda like this with arashi's latest PVs. i do like the PVs, i can't lie, lol. but i just feel that they could be so much better! but that doesn't take away my love for the songs by themself, though. after watching the BnMF tour, it's like all the nice designs & animation or whatever goes to their tours and not so much to the PVs. if yamapi can get high budget PVs, arashi can too! :laugh |

But I also wish that JE would put more budget into Arashi's PVs. I was really looking forward to an awesome creepy PV with storyline for "Monster". What we got was nice too, but I think they could have made more out of it! |

i LOVED it! :heart of course! :P i noticed those animated robots, too. so cute! but during that song, it just made me feel kinda sad, haha. the whole tour was really amazing! arashi never disappoint with their tours. every tour just gets better & better than the previous tour! i'm still re-watching performances, it's like all i've watched during this week besides for other music PVs. :P
i'm not saying like every arashi PV needs to be high budget, but i'd love it if JE gave them a few! but it doesn't have to be too high budget for it to be nice, i guess? like kitto daijoubu was a very entertaining PV & it just never gets old! even hatenai sora's PV was really nice. that was simple but still beautiful to watch, like a few other arashi PVs. i just hope for them to get this one PV where it's just like "BANG!" :blove :dead that's how amazing i want it to be, LOL! i think i've been fantasizing about a Mada Ue Wo PV too much! :roflmao |
Mhm, the performance was sad, because the song is very sad. But it was really one of my favourite performances of the whole concert...and I liked their outfits too!
Though my favourite outfits were the ones they wore during "Let me down"!! :heart Jup, I also think that a PV doesn't need a high budget to be beautiful. Like you said, "Hatenai sora" wasn't something amazing, but it was nice. And I wish they would get a PV like "My Girl" again. It was so great and it had a real storyline.
