How to Get Concert Tickets
immel's guide on getting to Arena Tour 2006

---
Thought I'd make a thread for those planning on going to this year's arena tour :)

I think it would be a good way to keep track of which AHS members will be in Japan, around when, and find out if anyone wants to meet up and go together.

I'm thinking about going on the 9th and/or 10th to Saitama :yes

AyumiAi 22nd January 2011 06:20 AM

Me me me me meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I'm going for my first time with my mom :) she is taking me of a japan tip i've been dreaming of all my life for 2 weeks and we've just been waiting for the tour dates to be announced to plan everything and book things :p but we also have tonget tickets ;p ahh omg I'm so excited so so so excited omg I'm going to dieeeeee I'm going in April so one of the datesmthen :p question arenthe seating numberings for other city tickets the sames ones as the ones for Tokyo yoyogi tickets? Cuz I want floor seats and I wanna b able to recognize which ones are floor seats :p

GREENsora 22nd January 2011 06:33 AM

Sadly not me :( Maybe in a couple of years I can go. Anyways, I hope whoever's going has TONS of fun! :D

polka-dot-jewel 22nd January 2011 07:42 AM

I hope to return to Japan this summer and see Ayu again :D If I do go, it'll probably be the current final dates at Yoyogi. That'll give me plenty of time to save up to see her again :)

inspire_rmx 22nd January 2011 08:41 AM

i think i will be going for the 2011/4/23 or 24 show at Osakajo Hall. Anyone goin? I am so excited. will be my 2nd time seeing Ayu live since Asia Tour 2008

Tony G 22nd January 2011 12:21 PM

maybe, just maybe, the final shows in July. Depends on the money situation, hopefully I can score some cheap flights over!

AyumiSEASONS 22nd January 2011 12:26 PM

AHH I was gonna make this thread and you beat me! hahaha.

I want to go but I'm trying to work it around Kumi's tour and see both at the same time. My best bet so far is looking to be 6/5 Yokohama and Kuu on 6/10 or 6/11 at Tokyo.

Tony G 22nd January 2011 01:27 PM

The more I think about this, the more possible it becomes!!

How long is everyone planning to stay? I'll only have enough money to do Tokyo.. probably stay 7-10 days, fly in midweek and leave midweek/end of week.

I'll be staying in a hostel as well, no need for fancy accomodation. Anyone know a good play to stay?

It all depends if I can nab a really cheap airfare on sale.

Tasked 22nd January 2011 01:35 PM

I'll definitely attend to the last 2 dates ^__^ the album is very tour-worthy.. make it grand ayu!!!

6 days here (technically 7 but one will be spent flying there) so if I go I'd arrive June 4th and stay til the 12th. Some people on twitter reccomended the oak hostel to me and said he stayed there 9 times now!

http://www.oakhotel.co.jp/english/

It's around $600 for me and fiance to stay with a very small downpayment to reserve it ($54 USD)

Kanzaki 22nd January 2011 02:09 PM

Nope, I'm broke. Again, again. But some day...some day! I swear I'll go see her.

Lee^ChaN 22nd January 2011 02:30 PM

me going.. haven't decided yet when.. when is the deadline of the lottery??
@ayumiSEASON: me going to watch Kuu's concert on June 11th..

Misa-chan 22nd January 2011 03:56 PM

I'll definitely try for one of the dates somewhere between May-July. Hopefully the last show at Yoyogi!! ^^

AyuGAME 22nd January 2011 04:14 PM

i want to...but i don't know when..and it's really expensive go to Japan...
i'm really thinking about this now...
i want go to yokohama arena or yoyogi...

Hachimitsu6 22nd January 2011 04:39 PM

Unfortunately I can't go this year! But I saw AT09 and AT10, so I guess I shouldn't complain..

OyTony 22nd January 2011 04:56 PM

I'm going on the 9th&10th April. : D

labello 22nd January 2011 04:57 PM

Luja and I are going to the last 2 shows at yoyogi :D the only time when we both have vacation ^^
it would be really cool to meet other AHS people there :yes

cool_kickin_dude 22nd January 2011 05:17 PM

I like to go, but can't..:no

btw, what are the two times stand for like 15:00/16:00?

aisubeki 22nd January 2011 05:37 PM

I want to go in May, to the shows in Hiroshima. I just don't think there is going to be anyway I can, unless I win the lottery and get $10 million! I guess I better start buying tickets..

Luja. 22nd January 2011 05:51 PM

I believe the first time is when you can go into the venue and find your seat, aka when the doors opens, the latter is when the actual concert begins. If this is what you asked. XD

Tony G 23rd January 2011 01:43 AM

Concerts start very early in Japan o_O

and I'm in for meeting up with other AHS members, since I'll probably be coming by myself.

Anyone planning to do any other parts of Japan? The next weekend after her final concerts is the Fuji Rock Festival.. I would love to go to that.

Lee^ChaN 23rd January 2011 03:55 AM

Ah.. there are lots of AHS-er who are planning to attend on the last 2 dates..
maybe i should go on that date too?? :lech
I'l ask my friend then...

AyumiSEASONS 23rd January 2011 03:57 AM

The YADOYA Guesthouse is the cheapest hostel/guesthouse I've seen in Tokyo, hands down. I stayed there back in 2009 for two weeks, and it was nice (apart from a few problems that got fixed later that year...)

http://www.cheap-accommodation-tokyo.com/

I'm very upset by the airfare. It's about $1500 from my general area (Nashville/Atlanta). For my last two trips to Japan, I've bought my plane tickets in April/May (and I've never paid more than $800 either time), so hopefully the prices will go down by then...!!!

Tony G 23rd January 2011 09:01 AM

Wow, that's very central! Most of the other cheap ones I've found are a little out of central Tokyo.

I'm waiting for a cheap airfare too. Currently can get one for $1,100AU return from Melbourne to Tokyo, but these low-budget airlines always have sales. Just need to wait for one of them and book. Last time I was thinking of going, I saw flights as low as $600AU! That I can afford haha.

Chibi-Chan 23rd January 2011 04:18 PM

I think I go and steal some money.

Melodie 23rd January 2011 07:03 PM

I might go. I'll be visiting Japan around that time, and my dad said he'd get me a good ticket if any of my favourite artists are touring.
Unless I decide to see someone else~

I'm planning on staying for a week as well, and like AyumiSEASONS, I'm staying at the Oak Hotel (which is really affordable)

I simply had to comment this. Sorry. I like how you wrote "regular time" on the 12-hour clock since the 24-hours clock actually is the most commonly used time notation in the world today. Also the 24-hours clock is the international standard notation of time. ;)

Pieces_of_SEVEN 23rd January 2011 11:49 PM

I wish I could, but chances are no... :(

Lee^ChaN 23rd January 2011 11:52 PM

^ :laugh Haven't decided yet..
I have to wait for Gubsi & Corvina's answer first, 'cause they're gonna come in June to watch Kuu. If they can't watch Ayu on June, then probably I'll go on Yoyogi date :) *but only 1 date for sure :D*

And yeah, Oak Hotel is quite nice (5000 yen~) , but don't stay on the 1st floor, It's noisy, since it's close to the lobby & internet room.

I'm not sure exactly, but I think they differ a bit from venue to venue. I think all of them use the A-block, B-block, etc. system though, with A being the closest to the stage. I'd do some research.

Tony G 24th January 2011 02:01 PM

I was planning to just hit up a reseller shop when I get there, is this a safe bet to get some decent tickets?

I wish Misa-chan was doing the ticket purchasing thing for 2011!

MissElin_ 24th January 2011 02:15 PM

Yes. They have maps of all the arenas so you can fast figure out how "good" the tickets seating are. BUT, it,s very pricey with good seats. It's safe, but pricey.

Tony G 24th January 2011 02:40 PM

I don't mind, going to buy the best seat I can! Since I'll attend both shows, I'll probably get one awesome ticket and one that's a bit further away.

I find this confusing sometimes..so there are no standing/general admission tickets in Yoyogi?

inspire_rmx 24th January 2011 03:13 PM

Anyone planning to go to the Osaka stops 23 or 24 Apr? any idea what's the best way to get tickets. tried yahoo japan auction back in 2008 but i guess its not available any longer rite

No GA tickets at Ayu's concerts...ever.

Everyone should keep in mind that given CDL's stage layout, it's highly likely that the stage layout will be similar to that, which will in turn affect the seating chart at all the venues.

That said, I'm going to the last 2 shows at Yoyogi, more if I can swing it, with my lovely lady friends. ;)

MissElin_ 24th January 2011 09:34 PM

^True, the whole MC from CDL was about the new stage, if the audience liked it, how awesome it was and such. Kind of big hints for me.

And yes darling!~ We'll better make it work out for us! :heart The three Ayu fan musketeers shall be a unit once again!

Ayumi27 24th January 2011 09:58 PM

I'll try to go to the Nagoya concerts in July

Everyone close to the stage on the floor seems to be standing at Ayu concerts anyway.

Best bet is to wait for the first shows at Saitama, get to know how the stage for this tour will be like first. I'm placing my bets on a stage similar to last CDL's centre stage. So if that's the case, the best seats in the house will be those in the middle of the arena, instead of the front. ;)

Not necessarily true, haha. At AT09I ended up paying 6000yen (compared to normal price of 7500yen for tickets back at AT09) for floor tickets next to the middle stage, and I've always seen those at skyrocket prices online. I also got those tickets on the day of the show, so of course they were probably trying to get rid of them by that point XD Then again, for the concert the day before, my friend bought tickets two days before that, and it was in the section on the first level up right next to the end of the stage, and my ticket was 15000yen.

With retail shops, it's more or less a gambling game (as it is online, but those are always way more expensive). The earlier you buy them, the more expensive they usually are. It's like the American service Stubhub - prices usually go down the closer the concert is.

MissElin_ 26th January 2011 03:56 PM

It also depends alot on what date you try to go to. CDL is always superhard to get cheap tickets for. Like CDL09-10 I went by the shops 1 hours before the concert would start and the ticket (30th, stand, 1st floor) still went for like 40'000 yen... They did not want to push down the price and I have talked them into giving me cheap tickets before so. ;)

Also, to get cheap tickets is kind of a game. I was planing to attent to a Namie concert and saw loads of tickets all week long and the day of the concert I went down and suddenly they all was sold out. So it's sometimes a bit risky.

Tickets will be there, you can choose your seats, but it will be pricey. If you don't want to try your luck and buy a cheap ticket right before the show starts will say.

kyomiayu 26th January 2011 07:14 PM

Hi. Any 1 know the location of the resale shops at oosaka?

hayasaki 26th January 2011 10:13 PM

I MIGHT GO on April 16th and 17th here in Nagoya.

ayuuk 28th January 2011 03:34 PM

Still thinking about going. Is there a slight chance that she will make it Asia Tour this year? I sent ayu a message via TeamAyu. Really want to see her in my country!

krtman2002 28th January 2011 08:22 PM

I want to go to one of these concerts:

2011/7/13 (Wed) Nagoya Gaishihoru 17:30 / 18:30
2011/7/14 (Thu) Nagoya Gaishihoru 17:30 / 18:30
2011/7/23 (Sat) Yoyogi National First Gymnasium 17:30 / 18:30
2011/7/24 (Sun) Yoyogi National First Gymnasium 15:00 / 16:00

I prefer going to yoyogi. Does anyone know how to buy tickets? I'm from spain and if someone can help me...

rikku411 2nd February 2011 12:28 PM

^ One of the member's here, immel, wrote a guide on how he got tickets to see Ayu:
http://ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70001

A common method is waiting until you get to Japan and buying the tickets from resellers there. Or maybe if you know someone who might be going to Japan earlier, they could get it for you if they find one.

I'm going to Japan in April, and while I'm there I could look around for tickets for you if you want.

Mai82Go 2nd February 2011 12:52 PM

Since I really love the Love Songs album I wanna go, too. People from Germany who are going: Are the flight tickets expensive? Last time I checked it was about 1000 Euros, and that's a bit too much. I also cannot go to the last dates because Take That are touring Europe and I bought tickets for the german tour dates. So May in Saitama or June in Yokohama might be the best bet for me. I have to think about it.

Luja. 2nd February 2011 01:35 PM

^ if you fly with Lufthansa, you probably won't be able to get tickets under 1000€ but JAL offers flights for around 940€. :)

ayuuk 6th February 2011 01:30 PM

I'd love to go too! Probably to those concerts in May or June or July! Are there TeamAyu members who are signing up for the ticket lottery? What are the chances of winning my first two choices??

Luja. 8th February 2011 11:29 PM

rikku411, I love how you listed everyone in the first post, great overview! :) but my username is Luja., not Luju.

well well well, Rody!, MissElin_ and chocopockymaster, would be cool to meet you there ;)

Fixed! :D

Lee^ChaN 9th February 2011 10:52 AM

oh.. me going with labello & luja for Yoyogi 23th :P (hope we won the lottery)

yatsudamf 9th February 2011 12:24 PM

Like Lee^ChaN, if I win tickets for the July 23rd Yoyogi show, I'll be there!!

pink_horse_088 9th February 2011 03:36 PM

Hope to go for the last show.
Might have surprise for that show.

JustLovely 14th February 2011 05:33 AM

I plan to go to Yokohama 5/14 and Yoyogi 7/23.

However, it all depends on whether my contacts in Japan can get me the tickets or not, yet! I will confirm later when I am going for sure (meaning my tickets have been bought for me XD).

Tony G 14th February 2011 08:39 AM

Potentially booking my tickets tonight! Going for 14-15 nights and will end up in Tokyo for the Yoyogi concert 7/23. Not sure about 7/24 depends if I have the money but I'm not really fussed about seeing the exact same concert two nights in a row.

I'm just going to go through the reseller shops. Unless there is ANY way someone here can buy the tickets and we pay them? That would be so much easier.

crea_spain 15th February 2011 12:33 AM

saitama s.a. april 9 & 10
osaka-jo hall april 23 & 24
:cool

rikku411 15th February 2011 03:09 PM

Any updates for anyone that wasn't sure they were going? :)

Luja. 15th February 2011 09:21 PM

^ are TA results out???

rikku411 16th February 2011 12:27 PM

People should be able to check them starting today, but they won't be able to pick them up and see what they got until March 18.

ayuuk 16th February 2011 12:44 PM

The results are out. ^.^

Just a few questions. I chose 7-11. So do you have to pay at 7-11 before 2/21, and then you will get the tickets on 3/18? Do I retrieve the tickets at the same 7-11?

I am not in Japan, so I don't know how it works... Don't know if someone is in Japan and can help me get the tickets. :yes After all, I won the tickets I wanted!!

OyTony 16th February 2011 12:46 PM

I won tickets for the 9th April. =D
@rikku411 how will you get your tickets? ^^

You have to pay for your tickets at the cash register at 7-11. The tickets will be sent at a later date.

Oh, and I won the T.A. lottery for June 23rd Yoyogi. Yatta!

ayuuk 16th February 2011 01:05 PM

^But I chose "セブン-イレブン店頭支払い/セブン-イレブン店頭発券," so how do I get the tickets on 3/18?

I have no idea haha. I might get them at a reseller when I go there.

OyTony 16th February 2011 02:19 PM

@rikku411 haha okay good luck! =D

ayuuk 16th February 2011 03:27 PM

Yay~~ Fukuoka here I come!!!

rikku411 17th February 2011 12:59 AM

Btw, if anyone here's selling tickets or know anyone selling, let me know please :)

Polyrhythm 17th February 2011 01:58 AM

I wonder when she'll go on an Asia tour again...I might go to Taiwan this summer....

ayuuk 17th February 2011 02:36 AM

^Really hope that she will have Asia Tour again!!

Lee^ChaN 17th February 2011 02:16 PM

We will directly get the ticket printed on 7-11 after the settlement (according to my Japanese friend)

@rikku411: I probably can help you once I move to Tokyo in April. But I can't promise you, since I'm not familiar with buying tickets in re-seller shops.

ayuuk 17th February 2011 02:35 PM

I am 80% sure that I am going to the two Fukuoka concerts. I chose "Pay at 7-11 and get tickets at 7-11" and it seems that this cannot be changed.

Questions:
If I have someone in Japan pay at 7-11 before February 21, are tickets printed immediately on that day? To my understanding, that TA email suggests that you have to come back home, check the TA website for another 13-digit number, and visit 7-11 again after March 18, to get the tickets?

So, can I just print the tickets on May 21, when I am myself in Japan? Or is there a deadline to have the tickets printed?

Hope someone knows this. Sorry my Japanese is not good and cannot understand that TA email in full.

OyTony 17th February 2011 02:50 PM

@ayuuk
You can read the tutorial here.
Hope it helps. ^^
http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107147

ayuuk 17th February 2011 03:32 PM

^Thanks! The tutorial says:
Ticket Redemption
18 Mar 2011 1pm ~ Day of the concert

So I guess there is no deadline by which we need to retrieve the tickets? Maybe I can just retrieve on the day of the concert.

Luja. 17th February 2011 03:40 PM

^ but you have to pay for them beforehand. you won tickets with the lottery right? Which payment method did you choose?

ayuuk 17th February 2011 04:15 PM

^Yeah, that's why I am searching for people who are in Japan!!
I chose "セブン-イレブン店頭支払い/セブン-イレブン店頭発券" which means Pay at 7-11 and get tickets at 7-11, right?

Luja. 17th February 2011 08:33 PM

^ I think so, yes. Then you have to hurry up because you have to pay for the tickets until 21st of February!! I am sorry I can't help you more... EDIT: oh sorry, just read your posts above, you already know that x.x hm.. maybe you could open a new thread in the ayu chat room and ask if someone can help?

AyumiSEASONS 21st February 2011 09:04 AM

K well now that I'm over the shock, Can you please remove my name from the list? I can't go anymore because my fiance got fired (because his boss is an *sshole) and we applied for unemployment but egh. it's just not possible to go anymore.

yatsudamf 21st February 2011 02:45 PM

I paid for my tickets today... no printed tickets, all you get is something that looks like a receipt. It has your name on it, as well as the 13-digit number you were given by TA. The tickets will be sent later.

AyumiAi 2nd March 2011 12:43 AM
