I hope she wins this one. Virgin Road's video was so unexplainable and unbelievable that this one deserves to win the award. (At least no Arashi or AKB48, especially not even the controversial original Beginner PV...)

In 2004, she decided she would no longer accept any awards, which is why she hasn't been nominated in the record taisho, like japanese grammy awards, since then. She hasn't received much of any nominations, except for a few like Spaceshower etc, because of this decision she made.

I think she did that because she wanted to give a chance to other artist to get the awards.

Ayu "fell" off her pedestal after My Story Era in regards to popularity in Japan.

Im not saying she stopped winning.. she asked to stop being nominated. She hasn't really mean nominated for anything since that era and its not because she "fell" off anything. People in america have done that too. That girl from Greys Anatomy did the same thing with her emmy.. (at least i think thats what happened with her... )

What TeamAyu2004 said is true.. she willing declined all award nominations.. If i am not wrong, it was due to some saga over Max leaving Avex and the ayu wanted to leave with him.

^ i remember that.. it was in the news or something. Avex wanted to fire her producer Max and she said that if he left she would leave too.

Avex's stock dropped like 3 or 4 % and Avex, instead of firing him made him president.. lol

VR is awesome. She totally deserves to win.
