Tweeting Ayu
 

I was just wondering how a few of us lucky AHS members got to tweet a message to Ayu? Do you have to live in Japan to do this? I just created a Twitter account a few days ago (not just to keep up with Ayu, we do that pretty well enough with nice people like Misa-chan and the forum moderators and all (Thanks guys, you rock!)) and I noticed that I don't have the option to tweet her except for when she posts pics....

don't you make a post on your own twitter and just click someone to mention like:
@ayublahblah hey ayu?

Here are the rules I usually follow:
-if she's tweeting in English, she is more likely to tweet you in English. When she is tweeting in Japanese, she is usually having conversations with her staff/dancers/Naoya etc.
-keep your messages short, basic, and simple English phrases. The short part is important because she will retweet you when she replies, and it's easier to do so if your original tweet is short.
-the past two times she has tweeted me, it has been to thank me for compliments. You're more likely to get a "thx" or a "-_^" if you say something like "I really liked (new release), it made me (emotional reaction)"
-questions or enquiries almost always get ignored. Either she can't answer them due to contracts/obligations to AVEX, or she just doesn't know. I figure all the times we asked her if we could visit her in LA this January went unanswered because her schedule was still so up in the air that she just didn't know
-the time of day can usually be a factor too. Thankfully I'm in California, and when she tweets somthing at 4 in the morning in English, I know that I am far more likely to get a reply because she is not getting a lot of English tweets at that time of day. Actually, the only times she has ever replied to me or retweeted me has been during the evening/night while she was in California.
Ayu has replied to me four times and retweeted my photos twice, which isn't as much as some of the people on here, but far more than most, so I hope my advice is good :)

like how do you tweet in general, or am I confusing myself >.<

I've gotten 4 from ayu, 1 from emi hinouchi, 8 from sifow, 2 from emyli, 3 from mannie (one on Facebook), 1 from Olivia (Facebook) and 1 from tabatha Coffey on Facebook. I think you just have to be down to earth and keep english to a minimum unless they are really good at English, like Olivia and emyli or mannie. I try to tweet them when I see them online.

Go follow ayu, make sure your tweets aren't private and click "reply" to her tweets when she's on and you should be good to go

No, you've got it right. I'm asking how to tweet Ayu...I can only follow her tweets, not send her any...:(

all you have to do is say "@ayu_04081998 and then your message".

Are you SURE they aren't going through?

She could be receiving them and just not replying. She doesn't reply to everyone. I've been lucky and gotten a few tweets from her myself. You just have to keep trying. Even if you get a =)) then you know she read your tweet and liked it. :P

Go to her full profile, click that http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/a...at124334PM.png and then click mention ayu then type what you want to say and click tweet.

I think you are trying to direct message her that is only possible when she is following you.

Thank You...I did that just now. I'm not expecting a direct reply...I just want to let Ayu know that she has another fan in America...(^_^)

Why Ayu did not reply me? :( I tweet her but no reply. Sigh.

wish her luck on rehersals (I wished her to do her best on Best artist and got a reply), also I've managed to get reply when I requested monochrome for a-nation and she promised to think about it though didn't include into setlist anyway. Also some cute chat would be nice. And my 3rd reply was when I wrote how touching and inspiring her lyrics are. ^_^

Wow 700 twits!! I only did a dozen or so... I am slow in thinking what to say. And don't know what kind of twits she would like to answer...

How about you try reading her tweets, see what she's tweeting about and reply from there. Or just tweet her and tell her how much she inspires you through her music. Basically just show her your support.

I don't even understand Japanese. Hoping to get a reply from her is like human going to outer space <rare chance>. Not easy. I checked my twitter yesterday before I went to bed. Sadly, I went to bed with a broken heart. Urgh. :'(

Strongly agreed. Just because we don't know Japanese, make it so hard for us to get a reply from her. Damn! What to do?

Did she reply your tweet before?

Nope. I am not a frequent twitter user. So far I only write dozens of tweets, which are all for Ayu. But they are all in English, and she never replied. I am not so keen on keeping tweeting her, because I think I have already said some of the words that I have long wanted to say, and repeating is not something I like to do. But I am not sure if she sees my words or not. After all, she must have thousands of tweets every day.

The other day I got an email saying that "ayu news / 浜崎あゆみ is now following your tweets on Twitter." Just seeing 浜崎あゆみ makes me excited. Haha I am so in love with her.

^ i bet when you follow her, you get that ayu news thing as well..i got it too and all it does is talk about releases and to have your say in mu-mo stuff..not like that stuff matters to me anyway

ayu news is probably a twitter account for most of Ayu's info. I think that account follows quite a few people.

Seems like I'm frequent user that keep posting comment on this topic. Seriously, I need some help here on my Twitter to Ayu. She is not replying me. And her posts are all in Japanese. I don't understand a single thing. How to reply to her post then since I don't know what she is posting about?
