It's thread 3! Who knew we would get this far? Only 2 posts left in the other thread so I thought it was time for a new one.

They have a theater in Akihabara (a district in Tokyo, Japan) where they perform once every weekday, and twice on both Saturday and Sunday. The theater is set up on the 8th floor of Don Quixote. I can get over Jurina but I'll never get over Matsui R. eww. Thank god for Myao and all the other underrepresented girls...nothing against the NMB girls at all...but its not like I really care about them either. The center girl is sort of scary looking and I don't get the appeal.

I don't like having Jurina and Rena in senbatsu much either now that SKE has their own thing. NMB I don't mind because they are just starting.
I'm starting to like SKE but I already have AKB and SDN. If I start liking SKE more I'll have a lot of names to learn. Takamina was not in the senbatsu for Chance no Junban because the senbatsu for that single were chosen by a Janken tournament and she lost early in the tournament. Also from the last thread Quote:

^Yes. That's why a lot of the girls that have never been in Senbatsu before are in Chance no Junban. You can look up all about it on the Satge48 wiki, I think they have a whole page dedicated to it! My oshi is centre :heart

I don't know. Chance to Junban was a totally boring, generic release, but at least it gave some of the front girls a chance to take a short break...and some totally ignored girls like Kobayashi and Maeda Ami to to shine. I don't think I ever saw acchan promiting that single lol...even though she made senbatsu. I always look in the performances and I was like....damn...Sae....Sae....Sae was practically part of that senbatsu.

HELLLOOOOO 3rd thread! And the first post is more complete too! 8D But I can't help but notice only two girls have summaries... would you like me to type up the rest for you?... well, maybe just Mariko, Tomochin, Maeda and Miichan's, the rest can stay blank for all I care XD :innocent
Now bout that senbatsu... *sigh* I like NMB48 (well... actually mostly Jonishi Kei :heart who I'm in L-O-V-E with) but yeah, not too happy about them being tacked onto senbatsu along with SKE. It would have been much better if the NMB girls had replaced W Matsui. :no Spoiler:
Anyway, I'd like to have another single like CnJ with an irregular senbatsu but with more effort behind it. It seemed obvious they didn't care much for pushing the CnJ senbatsu with the horrid covers, giving them a sub-par song after the epicness of Beginner, giving the RS a song ANYWAY ruining the point of the whole thing, and even giving their PV a B-side budget while the actual B-side's had A-side budgets. -__- The Team songs were amazing so there was no reason for the A-side to have not been just as good or better. |

That would help a lot. I've been meaning to type up something for the girls even if it's just one sentence *looks at Yukirins* but I keep ending up having something to do and haven't got around to it. I'll try and work on it tonight. I liked Chance no Junban. I like ALIVE the most but the rest was good too. |
Well it's basically like Chance no Junban was a b-side type song (like Kimi no koto, Boku dake, Guuzen no, etc.) And they had the more interesting songs for B-sides. Honestly I think they played it safe because there were ~unknowns~ in the senbatsu. And Japanese people seem to like cutesy songs.
Anyways enough about CnJ that's so last year who's excited for the awesomeness that is Everyday, Kachusha!!! :D :D :D I AM! I'm just starting to get into SKE, I don't think I'll check out NMB for a while. I like more 'grown up' singers. NMB is too young. All you have to put for Yuko and Sae is: THEY ARE AWESOME. |

^Actually, the point wasn't for people to choose. That's the purpose of the regular senbatsu elections. And c'mon...you think they would set it up? If I was going to rig the tournament I'd make sure as hell that Ishida would never get into the #2 spot. I would also pick someone marketable for center like Itano.

All I am saying right know is about what AKB staff can do - I am not talking they are doing it but its a possiblity since with all about sucess and money...
about Janken they could contro it by for example - girls know who they are dealing with and who has to win and then talk about what they are going to show (rock paper scisorrs) after that its only about acting "OMG I"M SO HAPPY I HAVE WON" "OH NO I FAIL" I very doubt that they can put success of a single and money on something as usunuieal as Rock Paper Scissors If they real want to create a chance for non regular senbatsu game they should make a list of girls who by "in senbatsu activy and choose the ones with the less number of it. about election they can create senbatsu puting in popular girls which make ellection looks real and popular girls = single popularity= Money and then making the election...they can also do not tell girls to create real emotion reaction = I LIKE THEM = Money Then the give people chance to vote = people feel special casue they have to decide about something devine like "which girl is going to be in senbatsu" something that unitl now was only for staff Everyone have better attachment to bank when you give him a mirage of "I'm in too" I love AKB - but I have some doubts when it comes to realness of some stuff that we see in cd dvds and its not about AKB its about showbusiness all over the world |

So Acchan's finally debuting solo? I can't expect it will be anywhere near as amazing as Dear J, or even the same style of song. I'm definitely interested to see what they give her, but I don't exactly care a lot since I think she's insanely overrated. I'd rather have a Yuko solo :grumpy (or Takamina :love)

You've heard Nakinagara Hohoende right? Yuko can't sing. Though if she did an autotune song like Tomochin it wouldn't matter :-D I LOVE YUKO BY THE WAY. And Acchan is flawless. Though I don't think I would call her over rated because most people know that Acchan is normal and generally uninteresting. Doesn't mean some people can't like that. I just have to say that Team Z is so awesome :luv2 |
Hahaha, well I just listened to it for the first time after you mentioning it. I mean, it wasn't great, but I definitely didn't think she sounded bad (especially for an idol). I've always thought Acchan was a pretty bad singer after hearing her part in Skirt, Hirari. She sounds great in Sakura no ki ni Narou but it's hardly a vocally demanding song.
You don't think her fans think she's gorgeous and has this great personality and all though? If not for that then I'm not sure why she's so popular. Yuko at least is funny, Tomochin has that whole sassy ***** thing going on, and so on. I guess I just don't see what about Acchan is so great and that's why I feel she's overrated: because there seems to be no justifiable reason for so many people to like her. |
Makes me wish I could go back and time and become an AKB48 fan back when they cared about making quality stage songs. |

^It's nothing like that at all. All of the AKB48 subunits are signed with different labels (something H!P needs to seriously take note of) DiVA and French Kiss are both signed with Avex so it wouldn't be surprising at all to see them there.

^Nothing to do with independence. They are still manged by AKS and they still have their separate companies to represent them. They have different recording labels because it means someone else to pay the bills. xD

I like all the covers cept the obvious (hope the theater version sells like 2 copies). And noooooooooooo. God no. They'd better not let career-killer #1 touch AKB48. Maybe send the research students and the useless subgroups like SKE to them, yes, but not the main group.

Plus KKS are part of the group and it has nothing to do with the record label. And SKE is a sister group and under some other record company. |

There will a first overseas theatre in Singapore, performances will be held twice a month. First show will be on 15th may by AKB48. During the 2nd show onwards, AKB48/SKE48/NMB48/SDN48 will perform in Singapore too. I don't know about downloading but both are on Youku. For the first one just search は出るだろうけど、やっぱり生に限るぜ! and the second one you can put the whole title. Maybe only searching part of the title would help you find it at H!O and JPS.
So there was an announcement at the handshake event in Nagoya about a Stage revival. Apparently it's going to be at Tokyo Dome Hall which used to be known as JCB hall. I've never listened to SKE's stage songs yet, but I love all their singles so far!! They are consistent with the catchy!
The next A-side style will definitely be determined by who wins, as Iiwake fit Acchan and Hebirote fit Yuko. If Tomochin won maybe we would get a heavily autotuned dance track :laugh |

Damn... I thought it'd just be AKB48 and the two groups signed to Avex but they're going to have the WHOLE family there? Crazy. It is good timing though, most of them will have had a new single out by then.
NMB48 is going to be there too? They're really getting a lot of exposure considering they don't even have an original stage or a single yet and only one team... I hope Aki-P will have at least one new song ready for them by then. Though the performance would be good, it'd be pretty lame if they just covered an AKB48 song. :-/ |
Yah I'm really curious as to what style of songs NMB will have. I'm not really interested in them until I can here some original stuff.
AKB's style is hard to judge but I like to think their songs like Oogoe, 10nen, RIVER, Everyday are there quintessential style. Poppy and fun with a hint of nostalgia? :laugh SKE's singles all have this really energetic in your face upbeatness xD. So really curious for an original NMB song. |

For some reason, I get this vibe that NMB's 'quintessential' style is going to more like the cooler and more sensual side of AKB48. I can imagine them regularly doing songs like Skirt, Hirari; RIVER, Beginner... I dunno why, maybe it's the cheetah print. :laugh

About the a-nation thing, I just hope AKB don't eat the whole setlist in the DVD, leave some love for the others artists too!

XD) Unfortunately it will be a while before they have their own stage. The the next Stage they are doing is Seishun Girls so that means K2 which now has me wondering about Blue rose.
