I don't see what the big deal is. I'd kind of like to keep Tomochin's solo stuff separate from the AKB stuff since they're so different and she is a full-fledged solo artist in her own right. Like I said, there are threads for artists who have released even less than her, and no one has an issue with those.

I think people are worried about all the different threads that might spawn, following this example....like will there be an Acchan thread? Or a Not Yet thread....

Well even if that ended up happening, I don't see the problem. What "mess" is it making to have separate threads for specific artists and groups? It's like complaining for the sake of complaining...

they are still projects being part of AKB - and it makes more sense that to have one big AKB thread that to have small specyfic arists and groups thread..

XD Well, it's done now and if the mods aren't against it I guess it's fine.
Anyway *turns on fangirl mode*, Tomochin looks so cute in that CM! Omg I love the plaid dress <33333 I can't think of any serious competition she would have next week so Dear J type sales (or preferably higher) should be enough to grab her 1st number one single. :3 |

Yeah, I totally think the single will sell fine, but I'm not sure if it's going to sell quite as well as Dear J. That sold like...insanely well (at least compared to what I was expecting). I wonder if the novelty of her going solo will have worn off. I guess we'll see soon enough. I think she'll do fine though, especially since she's already#1 on Recochoku. Did anyone else see that version B's DVD has an ENGLISH interview?! |

I know it's only NINKI, but it's still exciting to see. Can't wait to see how it actually ends up selling. And yeah, after further review, that performance was a bit rough. She should've went into her head voice for those high notes, but I've heard worse. I think she'll definitely improve with time too. She has a nice tone imo so if she can just work on other stuff I think she has the potential to sound very good. |

Come on! is absolutely :luv2 . Tomochin sounds great and the breakdown in the middle is HOT. These are the kind of tracks that get me so hyped up for the eventual album. Boku no Sei isn't really my type of track. So ehh, don't really have an opinion on it yet. Will have to listen a few more times. |
^ We're totally on the same page. I felt the same way about Come On! and Boku no Sei. I also love Fui Ni, but it doesn't quite top Dear J imo. I'm still waiting for her to do something that incredibly amazing again, and I know she will.

I cannot stop watching that performance. It's nasally and not what anyone would call GREAT singing, but I'm in love with it. I have no idea why I love her voice so much, but I do. She sounded great to me, whereas that other performance wasn't so hot lol.

Granted, the previous single had the advantage of being the debut from the first AKB48 soloist and was more hyped. The sales are still good and she'll probably finish at 80K~100K this week but it still is worrying if this downward trend continues. |

Hehe, glad I'm not the only one that sees a little Ayu her. xD Not really in looks but her style, the peculiar eyes and the nasally kinda squeaky voice... differences being that Tomochin can dance and doesn't write her own lyrics (yet, I think she eventually will though).

Msta performance is vocally the best so far. I'm so glad to see her improving and growing. That's one of the best parts of following a *new* artist. While she may not necessarily be new to the entertainment world, she is to this solo thing. She's been a part of teams, units, and a HUGE group for so long and now she has to command a stage by herself with the comfort of her friends and co-workers. She has to continue to grow and create a niche for herself. And she will. After the recent election something sparked in her, I can tell. This is just the beginning, we're going to see a much more determined and focused Tomomi Itano this year I just know it. :yes

I have team K's visual book from 2010 and in it, one of the questions asks "What artists do you like?" and Tomochin said Namie there too (with EXILE being her other choice). I had no idea she liked Ayu too! But another one of the questions in the book was "What's your ringtone?" and she said Namie's "No" :D

^^I don't think Tomochin really gives a ***** at this point....scandal and whatnot....she was planning to graduate anyway...and now her best friend's jumping ship...what's there to stick around for. AKB48 is just holding her back as it looks like her individual career is taking off.

It's been rumoured for some time that tomochin is planning to graduate, but Ido not wish to see her graduating with a scandal right behind her butt, it will be better to graduate like what Acchan did. |

I hope Tomo graduates soon and not this way. Her AKb era is SO over, in the Saitama Super Arena Concert she was so out of place. She needs to focus on her solo career, which is sturnin out to be amazing
