SPYAIR is a Japanese rock band formed in 2005. All of their older releases are permanently out of print as they were self-published and never sold in stores. They used to hold street lives in Nagoya fairly often, which is where they sold their music. The name SPYAIR was determined in one shot by the members, which came from the word spyware, a type of computer virus.

SPYAIR debuted under the indie label, U-PROJECT and switched to Sony Music Associated Records in 2010.

I can't believe my sister said they sounded like flumpool o_O . SPYAIR I feel are much more harder sound wise & also they're ... loud XD

My sister 1st know them via BEAUTIFUL DAYS because she's watching Don Quixote . So when I told her SPYAIR also contributed songs to Bleach & Gintama , she was like really ?!?! o_o

my sister said that SPYAIR's music sounds like flumpool & Weaver to her but nah to me , SPYAIR sounds NOTHING like flumpool , no damn way at all hahaha

I downloaded all their singles except for LIAR which I'm not able to find ._. but what I have heard of SPYAIR the past hour or so , it's very promising

They're quite experimental also which's great , it will be boring to do just normal rock sounds , I'm glad they mix things up with other genres in their music besides rock

my 1st exposure to SPYAIR was hearing/seeing a bit of the BEAUTIFUL DAYS PV on CDTV , just before CDTV played the live version of BREAKERZ's GO from their BREAKERZ 4th Anniversary LIVE WISH03 in NIPPON BUDOKAN concert XD

but yeah BEAUTIFUL DAYS is really fantastic ! On Coming Soon , lead singer IKE said that this's the song that really pushed their popularity up & who can't blame them , the song's great

Somemore it's used in the Don Quixote drama that stars Koike Teppei & Shota Masuda *___*

In fact in Coming Soon after SPYAIR performed for the 1st time where they did BEAUTIFUL DAYS , all 5 members introduced themselves in a weird manner in that after they mention their name , they will state what kind of business their families have xD

1 of them mentioned grape vineyard business which I think it's IKE xD while there was another 1 that said his familiy runs a ramen shop :laugh :laugh

I never had any bad experience with them. Weirdly, CDJ's shipping cost is more expensive than YA. People in the U.S said it's the other way around, but not for me. :/ And I live in a area where most people orders Asian stuff. Idk.

I usually use HMV Japan if I were to order Japan pressing of singles/albums as they give really generous discounts to their online members

I seldom use CDJapan & YesAsia but certain exceptions like this , I will use them

In fact I do admit , CDJapan's charges can be much more expensive than HMV Japan , especially if you compare both their EMS charges which can be so ... different

Of course they're rockin' the world! They're rockin' my world. ;D I love how I'm seeing so many promotions of them! Sony is doing pretty good! Also the SPYAIR staffs have been spamming about their concerts in IRF!

AHAHAHA Number 8! I'm so happy now! Pretty good for a 1st album! The promotions they did paid off! Hopefully they get big as the other bands I listen to. I got their album, will be listening soon! I'll post a mini-review of the new songs and album versions! :)

Additional artists slated to perform at the live event “MUSIC FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE” were announced. The event will be held at the First Gymnasium of Yoyogi National Stadium from December 23rd ~ 25th.

The 6 artists who will perform are: lecca (on the 23rd), BENI and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (on the 24th), JAY’ED, Miura Daichi, and SPYAIR (on the 25th). Including these 6 new artists, a total of 21 artists have been announced that will perform at the event.

SPYAIR to hold their first live concert in Korea

Rock band SPYAIR has revealed that they will be holding their first one-man live in Korea!

Titled “SPYAIR TOUR 2011 ‘Rockin’ the World ‘in KOREA“, the live will take place on December 9th at Club FF. After this concert, SPYAIR will return to Japan to kick off their first nationwide tour.

SPYAIR is a 5-member band comprised of IKE (Vo), UZ (G), MOMIKEN (B), KENTA (Dr), and ENZEL☆ (DJ). They made their major debut on August 11th of last year with the single, “LIAR“. To shoot the music video for their single, “Japanication“, the band held a street live in Korea, which aired on local tv stations. Additionally, SPYAIR’s first album, “Rockin’ the World“, was simultaneously released in Japan and Korea, attracting attention from both countries.

SPYAIR announces their first single for 2012

Rock band SPYAIR has announced that they will be releasing their new single, “My World“, on March 14th!

The title track has already been picked up as the ending theme for the anime, “Mobile Suit Gundam AGE“, starting January 29th. It’s described as a powerful number that will encourage people who suffer from distress.

The single will come in three different versions: a regular edition, a limited edition with a DVD, and a limited edition with an anime jacket cover.

Their single 'Movin' On' ... not My World, PV is out on their official site. I don't know if this is a digital single because I don't see any pre-orders and it hit me unexpected. Anyway it's releasing on January 1st, 2012. I really like the song!

There's also a DVD coming out. I'm not sure what it is.

yeah I think it's a digital single :O because usually physical new releases get released on a Wed but this's not the case for 'Movin' On

Wow it's been so long since I've found a j-rock band that's appealed to me...I've gotta say though these guys are really good! I think my favorite song so far is Japanication, but I still need to listen to their album.

By the way, is it just me or does their style sound very western? I see they like western artists but that doesn't always influence the music.
