That new one is not as good as the old one.

The photoshopping is crappy as well. Way too apparent, and the images come off really flat, and idk if it's from them messing around with the photos, or if it's because she can't fit into the poses to fix the perspective. It's probably both.

The clothes are all nice though, and they look nice on her.

the third photoshoot is awesome but i rly disliked her long wig... it makes her sound too 'fake-western'

i like the color and lighting of this shoot but it doesn't work with the cuteness she portrays and the pictures are too heavily photoshopped... she also looks stiff in the beige and green full body shots.

I dont like the first pictures with the long hair wig.. It's awful. Why they couldn't use soft, smooth, long dark hairs if they wanted to use a wig? That one looks like a haystack, and does not suit ayu at all. I also hate what they did to her hair on the last pics. Seriously?

I also dislike her hair in the first picture :( but I do think she can pull it off better than almost anyone else :D all three coats are awesome and I like that the last two are short and show lots of leg~~~ I hope these get favorable response from consumers! I like seeing her modeling for different fashion campaigns :)

I think SJP gets such a bad rap. She's not gorgeous by Hollywood standards (but then again is any body, really?) but she's not THAT ugly. I like her because she's not that typical too-pretty-to-be-real woman yet she's a fashion Goddess (at least on the SATC show). Gives me hope :')

She looks insanely photoshopped, especially with the green coat. This thing irks me so much about her. This is a huge no no for me.

Terrible ad campaign, only because of the over photoshopping of her face. It doesn't even look like it belongs to it's body!!! In any of the shots!!!

Probably the effect of those contact lens, those colors don't really look good on Asian faces. I tried light brown once, and I looked dead as well.. :P

The green coat shot is a little strange for some reason-- I can't pinpoint it. Is it her minimal makeup, the contacts, the expression?

She can be a good model at times, but this really does not come off as her being a good model, haha. Photoshop is a bit too much like you said, but I would have to disagree on your flat comment (at least), if your talking lighting wise. There is a good range of contracts throughout the photos.

I think the photos of her from far away are the better of the batch. Especially the first and third one even if. The close ups are awkward (first, she looks oldish, second, she looks like a monkey and third she looks like a old fish) and those contacts... awful.

These ads still make me want one of these trench coats!!!!!! :( :( :(

well I guess what I meant by "flat" was that, they're so photoshopped that at times they look like a painting.

And then, her legs in the last pic, and her head in the second looking like they were copy and pasted.

Personally, with regards to her modeling, she comes off best when she's just being herself...and I think we saw that with all of the recent shoots...but idk, when she tries to do all this high fashion stuff...it doesn't come off as well.

and yeah, it doesn't look good here.

imo, if they're going to use someone as amazing and famous as Ayu, they should use her like a muse, and get her to try and infuse some of her personality and charisma on the clothes, instead of just, the clothes on her.

Love the second set of images (with her and the flag as the backdrop) she looks amazing! Younger too.

ayu is a good model by her own standards, personally, I believe she knows how to work her angles and features pretty well (I love her eyes, lips, face structure, nose, hands).

She's super peculiar and unique, and that's what I love about her, she doesn't have to be the skinny 180cm anorexic model to be a model. She couldn't compete with them, but obviously, because they're on different leagues lol

And she isn't just a model, she's an icon, models are just to wear clothes, no one cares about their faces. In ayu's case, the first thing you look at is her face :laugh


Now, talking about the photoshop... I hate it. If it just had the right amount in the middle pictures, it would be stunning.

yep. people think it looks weird but Ayu rarely ever does anything whimsical (of the arty farty kind) so it's kinda cool to see her wear that airy wig.
