Which artists should work with ayu?
 

So, since ayu is starting to work with other artists, which artists should work with her in the future?

I actually started listening to 2NE1, and I'd love to see them with ayu :innocent

I've always wanted a collaboration between Ayu and Ai Otsuka... I think they could make a really beautiful ballad together.

I've always thought that with GACKT's ability to do amazing things with instrumentals and compossition and Ayu's abilities to write amazing lyrics (not that GACKT can't, he can and he does it well but you know just so it would be 50/50) the song, whatever it is would be a killer. It's like an earthquake + tsunami and you don't need to guess what would happen. So I'm with all my four limbs for that to happen to music world of Japan :lech :mischief or at least to my brain xD

No one, please no one else. I mean, I'd still give it a chance, but in general... I do not like collaborations. There's only a few collaborations I've actually enjoyed.

I'm not a huge fan of him, but I always thought the best collaboration would be with GACKT.
The Silent Night video always makes me smile :D. And their music genres aren't that different, I mean he's not a r'n'b singer lol. A collaboration with both of them would be a bomb imo.

And as much as I love Namie (she's one of my favorites) I don't think it could work that great. Unless they would sing a gorgeous ballad like Tempest.

I always had this vision that Ayu was up there with people like Shiina Ringo and Tokyo Jihen, or Eiko, or Supercar and Miki Furukawa...and that if they would collab and write songs for her, god it would be amazing...

But no. I could see Miu Sakamoto giving Ayu a song or two as well.

well for my case it's very obvious aka BREAKERZ but I don't know , the thought of ayumi & DAIGO singing a duet together , somehow it's a bit hard for me to visualise haha :x

GACKT and Ayu are really cute together! Not sure if their voices match but it was nice to see them do Silent Night together. By the way, why is it that they sang together? Are they good friends or was it mainly because they were both pretty popular at that time?

I always love seeing artists collaborate with others not from their own country. It doesn't even have to be a recorded song, it can just be a performance. I hope ayu can do that someday too.

well as far as Miu, it's because she has a lot of works that like, have a kind of double personality...like they'll start off all electro and mellow, and then break out into heavy dance...

And I think that works for Ayu. I don't think Ayu's voice is pretty enough to be perfect with Miu's music....but I think a composition from her, or her team would work. They can Ayu-fy it after lol And then it wouldn't sound like Miu's music anymore as much, you know? It would just be cool lol
