Kamenashi Kazuya comments on Yamashita Tomohisa’s exit from NEWS
On October 14th, KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya attended a press conference for his drama, “Yokai Ningen Bem“, where he was asked for his thoughts on Yamashita Tomohisa and Nishikido Ryo’s withdrawal from NEWS. Commenting on Yamashita Tomohisa, he revealed, “During work, he would say things like, ‘I have to do things this way’, so I’m not really surprised about this outcome. My feelings are half-and-half.” Since Kamenashi himself has experienced a member leaving his group, he calmly commented, “If it’s what the members decide themselves, I think that’s fine.” Kamenashi continued, “It’s not my own group, so I can’t really say anything… but they’ve been active for many years, so they should have a bond that you can’t see. If everyone sincerely believed each other, then I think that would be the answer.” Regarding his own group, he stated, “I don’t feel like we’re the ones left behind, nor do I think it’s right or wrong. We each have a life of our own.” Kamenashi shared that he hasn’t been in touch with Yamashita since he left the group. “Even if we meet, I don’t think we’ll talk about that,” he said. Kazuya Kamenashi happy with first ratings for his latest drama
Kazuya Kamenashi, star of the latest monster-anime-turned-live-action-drama, achieved one of his best TV ratings last Saturday, reports Mainichi Shimbun on October 24. “妖怪人間ベム (Youkai Ningen Bem)” started its season off with an impressive 18.9 per cent average rating during the first episode. “I really want to thank the large number of people who watched the show. I’m totally happy right now,” Kamenashi said. It has been reported Kamenashi said it was only the beginning of an exciting series. “The original story has a lot of character. Along with our production team who keep breaking down the walls that stand against us in making his live-action show possible, and my co-stars, I hope we can become a stronger team, and put all our heart and hard work into the shoots to make this drama that will stay with people,” he said. The drama follows three monsters who dream of becoming humans, and in the process befriend a human family. 'Girlfriend' claims Kamenashi is an extraterrestrial?
According to Sohu Entertainment news and 2ch, there has been a blogger who self identifies as 'KAT-TUN Kamenashi Kazuya's girlfriend' writing negative comments concerning the group's rivals Kanjani 8 which caused quite a stir among net fans. Thousands of comments have been left on her blog by fans of various Johnnys groups. This user claims to be currently dating Kamenashi and knows all his secrets. This mysterious user said about Kame's new drama 'Yokai Ningen BEM' that it's not just a TV drama but a documentary of Kame. And that he is not a 'normal' person (but a yokai sort of extraterrestrial) Interestingly, she has also said that (because Kame possesses magic as an ET), he only needs to conjure a spell and would defeat rival groups like K8, NEWS, Hey!Say!Jump etc. 'Although he is a yokai, he's still working hard in acting and performing in concerts. the song isn't too bad, actually. i mean, it's definitely something you hear in America and i'm not comparing it to his past works. i'm impressed, Jin! :P i'm not sure if it will be successful on the main charts (Billboard Hot 100), but i can see it do well on the dance charts.

Jin Akanishi’s US debut single No.1 on iTunes Dance chart
Jin Akanishi’s first single to be released in the US has made it to the top of the dance charts on iTunes, reports Asahi Shimbun and music news website natalie. “TEST DRIVE featuring JASON DERULO” was released on November 8. On the same day, Akanishi took part in a fan meet and greet in Los Angeles with 300 fans. Akanishi Jin announces new single + fan event at Yokohama Arena
Earlier it was announced that Akanishi Jin will be releasing a new single “Seasons” on December 28th, and holding a fan event at Yokohama Arena on January 7th, 2012. The upcoming single “Seasons” will be released in two different versions; the regular edition, which includes a special 16-page photo booklet, and a limited edition, which includes a DVD featuring the title track’s PV as well as its making-of video. There will also be four different cover jackets for the limited edition to match the single’s four seasons theme. Akanishi commented about the title track, “It’s a love song, but it is not only for men and women, or lovers. It’s a song of love toward everything, including family or friends who you cherish.” The tickets for the fan event will be sold preferentially to people who purchase both the limited and regular editions of his upcoming mini-album “TEST DRIVE featuring JASON DERULO“ (set for release on December 7th). LOL. i thought of Ayu's song too. i think i'm going to like Jin's Japanese material overall. i really like "Eternal" and his Japanese stuff has more substance than his American/English stuff. I don't mind the dance stuff, but Jin really needs to work more on his interview skills and he needs to be way more confident speaking with an expanded vocab, imo.

On November 25th, KAT-TUN attended the press conference for their new CM with Suzuki, where they announced that they’ll be holding a nationwide tour starting on Feburary 11th, 2012. It will be their first nationwide tour in 2 years, and so they’ll be visiting 12 cities, including Niigata, Nagoya, and Tokyo. The pop group revealed that they’re planning to hold the tour’s final stage in disaster-stricken Sendai, thus becoming the first Johnny & Associates group to hold a concert there after the Tohoku earthquake. It’s a long-awaited live for both the group and their fans, since the earthquake forced the cancellation of KAT-TUN’s first 5 Dome tour and big open-air live event in the area. “Everybody, we are sorry to have kept you waiting so long,” said member Kamenashi Kazuya.”Let’s have fun together sharing the same time and atmosphere.” The group also announced that they’ll be inviting fans backstage, should they purchase their new single ,”BIRTH“, and win the random lottery. yeah I love it when Kame did that in the STAR RIDER PV @.@ They released 4 singles this year & truly I never have been so impressed with them & they have shown that after close to a year or so since Akanishi left , the reminding 5 have proven that they do indeed have survived the test of times on this & I'm really proud of them ;__; BIRTH PV Yeah it's very simple which's kinda expected but still , wow , Tanaka looks exceptionally gorgeous in here <3 I really hope Ueda can grow his hair back soon , it's a bit strange seeing him botak :x Kame on the other hand , well you know 8D ;D Ah I'm so excited for them to release a new album , it's going to be a blast <3 |

Jin Akanishi says he just wants to make something good, the star said his VOGUE interview, reports Oricon. The January 2012 edition of VOGUE goes on sale today in Japan. Akanishi was interviewed in LA, and talked in English about where he wants to go now having crossed over to the US and gotten a iTunes dance chart No.1 single Akanishi has never stopped surprising fans. Last year, he parted from Johnny’s group KAT-TUN, embarked on a five-city US tour, and this year made his US debut as JIN AKANISHI. The star said his reason for moving to the US was because of his love for American music. Although he was a big fan of hip hop, Akanishi said he did not want to be constricted to one genre. “Music that’s popular is changing all the time, you have to aim one step ahead. I just want to make something good,” he said. Akanishi also talks about his work on his upcoming album, which is set to be released next year. “It’s tough when I’m writing songs. It’s really hard work. KAT-TUN tops Oricon weekly chart with 17 consecutive singles
Popular boy band KAT-TUN has just landed their 17th consecutive single atop the Oricon with “BIRTH“. The single which was just released on November 30th has hit #1 on the Oricon Singles Weekly Ranking and sold 194,000 in it’s first week. “BIRTH” is the theme song to Kamenashi Kazuya’s drama “Youkai Ningen Bem“. Since the group debuted back in 2006, every single since “Real Face” to now (“BIRTH”) has reached number 1 on the Oricon. KAT-TUN will start their 2012 tour, “KAT-TUN LIVE TOUR 2012 CHAIN” at Toki Messe in Niigata on February 2nd. Paparats was more epic in concert, lol. :P it was probably one of the few songs i remember because it was one of few songs that wasn't about being in the club or about girls. and it was a rock tune, not a dance song! the lyrics are cheesy though as it's about the media portrayal of him. (one line is "you fail, sir" honestly Jin...:laugh)
actually, most of Jin's English songs need improvement in the lyrics department. they're very shallow and direct. i know he's trying & i support his endeavors, but i really want something with more substance. |
