But it's pretty standard to charge for streaming concerts now. I think the fact that it was free for someone else doesn't exactly mean that it will happen for others. It costs a lot of money to set up this kind of thing after all if the server load is going to be crazy (which it probably will be)...

As for the thing with Ameba, they are streaming it through USTREAM anyway, so you should be able to watch it in full screen as well...

By the way, this USTREAM broadcast is NOT FOR THE JAPANESE. It's only for international/overseas fans, and Japanese fans have to do it through Ameba Pigg.

Oh yeah, and the AVOD thing seems to imply that after the broadcast, if you got a ticket you will be able to watch it afterwards 'on demand'.

I soooo want to buy a ticket! But I only have around 200 SEK (~2'300 yen) left on my card and I won't get money again until next week... Hm....

It's very standard actually. I know that in sports for an example it's very common. Last night the latest my boy-o payed in 80 SEK to watch a football (EU football, naturally) game via streaming. :)

I know NicoNicoDouga charged people to watch the Hatsune Miku concert in LA when it was streamed. I guess it depends on the act, really. The ticket price was 1800yen (tickets were 20USD when they were available) and I'm pretty sure there are other acts that do this as well, but it's way easier to get people to watch if a concert is free hence why a lot of acts end up doing free concerts instead.

Yellow Fried Chicken also appears to have charged for online streaming of a concert on NND (3000yen).

I have class at that time but... i think maybe I quit. This summer i was going to go to Japan and the earthquake happens and i couldn't go, so... it's a great opportunity to be in some way in the concert. Oh my GOD, what should I do!?

Yeah for the US time zones, it's 2:30AM Pacific, 3:30AM Mountain, 4:30AM Central, and 5:30AM Eastern.

One of the major downsides of having it live. Though I wonder why this set of concerts was in the middle of the week as opposed to on the weekend like she usually does.

Yeah, I agree. This appears to be double-trouble for me, had I considered about it (I'm not interested, sorry):
1. This happens on a weekday, and...
2. It's in the middle of the night!!!

The timeframe for the live will be 6:30PM to 10:30PM Japan Time.

I bought a ticket, but how do you record the show? Does anyone know of a good program to record with?

I'd say that it's possible but unlikely considering how it was handled last time.

However, when I looked at the purchase FAQ after you get a ticket, they said to check your dashboard's "Purchased Shows" section to watch it again. I guess we'll see. Is anyone who watched CDL watching this one?

I so hope that songs such as M, the trilogy and Love song will be back for the last show, which is the DVD/blu-ray one!

^ The triumphant return of "Love song" would make waking up early and paying $26 for an online event more than worth it.
