Yeah, his PVs usually don't have much in terms of replay value. Song-wise though, he usually never disappoints so it's okay. ("Usually", because he released that horrible autotuned mess that was Winter Love Song lmao)

Anyways, Fuyu ga Owaru Maeni's PV was nice. I didn't really listen to the song when it first leaked, but now that I can hear it in HQ, I'm definitely loving it a whole lot more. I can't wait to hear the B-side since I always tend to like them as much or more so than the A-side.

Shimizu Shota collaborates with Oda Kazumasa for upcoming single

On February 22nd, R&B singer Shimizu Shota will be releasing his new single, “Kimi Sae Ireba“, which will feature singer-songwriter Oda Kazumasa as a special guest.

The collaboration was put into effect after Shimizu appeared on the TBS annual Christmas program, “Christmas no Yakusoku“, back in 2009. Shimizu directly approached Oda, whom he respected both as a singer and a person.

“Kimi Sae Ireba” was written and composed by Shimizu himself. Meanwhile, Oda was in charge of the production and arrangements. The bonus DVD for the limited edition will contain footage of the two in the recording studio.

Shimizu commented, “It’s a really simple song that I made while feeling the greatness of ordinary music. It’s a very positive song. I pray that it will reach the hearts of many people.”

Additionally, the single will include a cover of Nakajima Miyuki’s “Keshou” as its coupling track.

Prior to the CD release, “Kimi Sae Ireba” will be available in Chaku-Uta form on February 1st.

it's the 1st time I've heard Oda Kazumasa’s vocals in here & nice

I like the song too , it's very ... cheery sounding ? :laugh

This is my first time listening to Oda Kazumasa as well. He has a nice voice and it seems to go pretty well with Shota's.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty disappointed with the song. It's not bad but nothing about it makes it stand out and makes me want to listen to it again.

The original version of Keshou isn't my cup of tea either, so I guess I'm just waiting to see how Get Over U sounds like.

I think the album will be alright. I just wish he didn't choose to stick 君さえいれば on the album. I keep listening to it, hoping that I'll like it over time, but I guess it's just not my cup of tea. Any of the B-sides from this era would've been more than sufficient as a replacement tbh.

Anyways, he's announced the dates for the Naturally Tour. 18 total.

Shimizu Shota's homecoming attracts 3,000 Osakans

Singer Shimizu Shota (23) gave a free live concert for 3,000 fans to commemorate the release of his new album “Naturally” (3/21) on March 18 in Osaka Castle Park.

The city is a special place for Shimizu, who is a native of Osaka, as he often performed in the area during his amateur days before his major label debut in March 2008. The concept of his new album is “returning to ones roots,” and following that theme, the performance was a homecoming for the singer after exactly four years.

Shimizu performed “The Day” from his new album, “HOME,” and others in a 4-song mini-concert, and stated “Osaka, you are the best!” Despite the threat of rain, approximately 3,000 people gathered in the park shouting “Okaeri!” or “Welcome home!” to which he said, “I will return again!”

luckily I kept my expectations for Naturally low because it's not as good as COLOURS imo :O

The 1st few album tracks are quite boring D: but at least the latter part of the album is much better if not cooler

Tonight is really interesting & Shota sang it in full English which I'm able to understand his dictation pretty well

On March 21st R&B singer Shimizu Shota released his fourth album “Naturally“. To commemorate the release, he invited and performed for a demographic of adults in their 30’s.

Shota was the one who came up with the idea so that fans that are older, can drink alcohol and at the same time enjoy music.

Shimizu Shota to cover HY for his new single

R&B singer Shimizu Shota will be releasing his new single, “366 Nichi“, on September 12th.

This will be a cover of rock band HY’s song that was included in their 2008 album “HeartY“. HY vocalist Nakasone Izumi will participate in the single with piano and the chorus.

Shimizu thought of this collaboration while coming up with a plan to cover a hit song. Since Nakasone is a fan of Shimizu, she accepted his offer and the two decided to team up for this single. It’s described as a simple yet beautiful arrangement that’s accompanied by Shimizu and Nakasone’s harmonious voices.

“366 Nichi” will be distributed in Chaku-Uta form starting August 29th. The full version will be released on the same day as the single’s release.

oh, its a cover? I thought its a basic song at first, but his vocals :luv2 its touching and it suits this crappy weather. maybe a bit too long but its worth it. b-side is cute and very catchy. I dont care much for love remix but its ok cuz I like the original.
