SID to sing theme song for “Sadako 3D”
http://static.tokyohive.com/wp-conte...id-600x899.jpg On March 16th, visual kei band SID held a live concert at Zepp Tokyo, where they announced that they will be providing the theme song for the upcoming horror movie, “Sadako 3D“. The song, titled “S“, will be released as a new single on May 9th. This will be SID’s first time to sing a theme song for a movie. “Sadako 3D” is the sequel to “The Ring” series and is based on an original story by Suzuki Koji. It stars Ishihara Satomi, Seto Koji, Takahashi Tsutomu, Sometani Shota, Takara Hikari, Yamamoto Yusuke, and Tayama Ryousei. During the concert, SID performed their upcoming singles, “Nokoriga“(May 2nd release) and “S”, exciting the crowd of 2,700 fans. The show also featured a special appearance by ‘Sadako’, from the film. Sadako to join visual kei band SID?

Previously, it was reported that ‘Sadako 3D’ will be released throughout Asia this summer. Director Hanabusa requested, “I want Sadako to become a member of SID and hold an Asia tour.” The members of SID laughed as they responded, “That sounds good.” During the greeting, Sadako made a surprise appearance which excited the members. They did the “Sadako pose” and took a picture together. SID is a 4-member band comprised of vocalist Mao, guitarist Shinji, bassist Aki, and drummer Yuya. They formed in 2003, and made their debut with “Monochrome no Kiss” in October of 2008. Since then, they’ve been releasing hit songs one after another, and even held a concert at Tokyo Dome in December of 2010. SID sings the theme song, “S“, which was written in the movie’s image. When asked about their feelings when they first heard about the theme song, Mao expressed, “I was happy because it’s a series I’ve been watching for a long time.” Meanwhile, Aki said, “At first, I felt a lot of pressure, but the song turned out to be really good.” ‘Sadako 3D’ is the latest installment of the popular ‘Ring‘ series by Suzuki Koji. SID to release new single in November
It’s been revealed that visual kei band SID will be releasing their new single, “V.I.P“, in November. SID recently released two singles, “Nokoriga” and “S“, in May, as well as their album “M&W” in August. Their third single of 2012 has already been picked up as the opening theme for the anime series, ‘Magi‘, which will start broadcasting on October 7th. SID to launch 10th anniversary project
Visual kei band SID will be launching an anniversary project to commemorate their 10th year anniversary in 2013. SID just wrapped up their nationwide tour, “TOUR 2012 ‘M&W’ no Saishu Kouen“, on October 31st. For their anniversary project, the band has 10 things in store for their fans. The first will be the release of SID’s 1st best-of album, “SID 10th Anniversary BEST“, on January 16th, and also the release of “TOUR 2012 ‘M&W’” on DVD sometime in March.
