Tidbit in the interview says that Party Queen contains pop, rock, electro, and jazz elements.

The styling is quite unflattering imo. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

this is very on par with american teen magazines. the male models are a nice touch. i think this is next level, but a bit more refined.

But yeah, I understand what you mean, and I pretty much feel the same way. That said, somehow I still quite enjoy the pink hair. It's ridiculous...but in a pretty sort of way? (this looking at the Lands of Eden shoot)

Erm...the LOE shots are more photoshopped because the lighting is softer and allows for it more, but am I the only one to say that Ayu looks awfully skinny in the ViVi spread? :(

Sometimes I like the more mature looking shoots but I'm happy to see a fun one for this issue.

I like it, it's fun! Nice to see her doing something totally different to what we've seen with the past few albums.

Outfits look like she's just rolled around in Primark for 5 minutes, they're gross.

my thoughts exactly. I dunno if it's the light or photoshop, the hair colour is not sweet light strawberry blond, but smth ridiculous.

I like the fun of the photoshoot, but Ayu herself doesn't look flattering at all. I don't know, but I've got that cheap + weird feeling of the photoshoot.
GQ photoshoot was gross too, but I felt like it looked more classy and just overall better.

I've got a feeling of a mature woman with a very bad taste in these pictures, God forbid me.:tired

Can't say the shoot is much better than the cover. I love colourful Ayu (Like NEXT LEVEL colourful) but she looks so weird in these that even though the concept is really cool and all I just can't bring myself to like it. Even though I really want to. :(

Ok, I'll ignore it (& and the horror of the Lands of Eden Shoot) and move on.

I like the funness of it, and her hair isn't nearly as bad as I thought it was on the cover, but the over-the-top American theme is weirding me out a bit. O_o And those guys are way too young for Ayu. I feel like I'm looking at a Peg Bundy-look alike trying to party and get it on with a bunch of Justin Beibers. :no

Looking at the 7th photo from the thumbnail makes it look like the guy is trying to bite the other guys crotch lol.

I really love it. Reminds me of CDL 11-12 Sparkle outfit which I also loved. Nice to see a fun shoot with some different poses. There is definitely more of a narrative here than most of her shoots. Even the pouty lips go with the vibe of the shoot. MOAR of this Ayu!

Hahaha, I love these! She looks flawless. If anyone can carry those clothes, it's Ayu. I like her posing too. Somehow feels a lot more natural and different from usual. Very refreshing.

Gosh, no offense but why do Ayu fans complain so much.
I'm loving all of these photos. When she does something boring and older-looking, people want fun, young Ayu. But when she does something fun and young, people dislike it and think it's too young for her.
I'm honestly starting to feel bad for her because people can't be happy with all the work she does.

I like these, but... no not for an album (pictures or concept)

Can't say I like the pictures, but the title of the album kind of _is_ Party Queen, so I thought these would be *sigh* perfect to capture the 'partaayyy' atmosphere.

The fact, on the other hand, seems to suggest that the cover has been shot and it was on a prairie of some sort. I hope whatever shot they did there manages to be partyesque.

I totally agree with you. For the first time in years she didn't pose to look beautiful or cute or pretty. She's very natural and I love so much the variety of body and face expressions. I couldn't be more happier with this shoot =)

I need this ViVi in my life...gotta take a trip to Chinatown soon! I found out a few months ago that there's a store that sells some Japanese magazines...SOOO lucky...otherwise I'd never get them, the shipping charges would be like double the cost of the book itself! smh

^^Comments like that are what start flame wars. From the people who didn't like the shoot, nothing terrible has been said. Don't blow it out of proportion and act like we're tearing her apart limb by limb and then spitting on her.

Don't dramatize and exaggerate other people's opinions, please. Especially since it seems to be maybe one in ten people that don't like the shoot. Not a large percentage...

These pictures look like they're out of a Peter Alexander pajama catalogue :P Not very original idea imo, however Ayu looks cute and natural :)

If she does Sweet this go around (it comes out on the 12th of each month so either 3/12 or 4/12) I think that the photos will be more to everyone's tastes. At the very least, I think GLAMOROUS will be hothothothothot. The shoots for the magazine are always amazing.

I don't like the pictures, but i don't dislike them... The cover is the worse out of the lot... But I think after we see everything, album covers/inside pictures/ party queen book. It might all tie together quite nicely!
