I'm okay with these sales, she needs to move on now, new single, etc.

Hope Ayu can release a new single this year....although maybe no #1 anymore.

The sales of PQ is still lower than Koda...

^The sales are lower because JAPONESQUE came out two months before Party Queen. PQ will catch up.

I'm sure she'll do much better with a single than with an album with almost no promotion at all :shrug

They just love their singles in Japan, and her fans will be super excited, specially if it ends up being a new summer single, best move they could come up with atm.

I mean the sales of PQ is lower than JAPONESQUE in the same week (8th wk).
It is around 5k pcs..

that would be great! although idk if ayu will release a summer, generic, catchy song again.. =\

Glad PQ is still selling though...but I hope it's time for a summer single announcement within the next month!

Do Japanese fans follow sales as closely as Western Ayu fans do?

Probably equivalent artist's hardcore fans, maybe in Japan they care for positions/achivements more XD

I remember someone comenting they went to Japan and people were overall surprised by her sales during "Ayu is going down" like conversations... So, I guess only hardcore fans care :P

Yep, jus tthe fans I believe, casual listens most likely do not care, but if your a fan, then you want to know just how good your artist is doing.

It's incredible how well compilation albums sell in Japan. The top two albums this year are both compilations from the same artist.
