The best of ayu’s summer songs!

A compilation of the super hit summer songs that are a must-listen when summer comes!!

BLUE BIRD, Greatful days, July 1st, as well as signature songs like Boys&Girls and evolution are all gathered into a happy exciting “DISC-N”. Sadder summer songs like HANABI and monochrome are compiled into “DISC-A”, to give a grand 2-CD set.

Furthermore, the theme song for current tour “ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2012 ～HOTEL Love songs～”, TRF cover Happening Here, will also be included due to many fans’ requests.

A new song You & Me, written just for this summer song compilation, makes up a grand total of 26 songs! (planned)

The DVD includes video clips from 10 years of a-nation lives, from 2002 to 2011, all past summer PVs, as well as the PV for new song You & Me, which was filmed overseas. The extremely rare collection adds up to a total of 25 tracks. (planned)

Well fairyland is also in the ballads cd (since lyrically it's a ballad I suppose) but since You & Me is the last song it might probably sound like a ballad too haha.

Tbh, I was expecting a best of release again since they released one back in 2008 after GUILTY reached #2 on charts. x3 But I don't care since there's a new song on this! ^.^

Most of these songs were in A BEST or A BEST 2, and most of the songs that should be in A BEST 3 aren't in these 2 tracklists so, I'm assuming they can still release A BEST 3 next year if they wanted to.

D'aw but I'm somewhat disappointed that she's doing another collage of a-nation for the DVDs. It sure is in-context (being summer and everything), but since at least some of them are already in A COMPLETE, I... well... :(

I guess Avex is on a milking spree then haha. Hopefully if they do decide to release A Best 3 this year/early next this "A SUMMER BEST" doesn't hurt the sales for AB3 considering how close they are/will be.

we're still had Tales of Xillia2 song, and since the game is to be released on November 1st, maybe we'll get new single on October 31st or November 7th.

Well A BEST 3 would probably be next year if anything (2013) as A BEST had this "6 years distance" between the A BEST series with no relation to other compilations so I expect A BEST 3 on March 2013 lol.

Also they probably called it "A SUMMER BEST" and not "A BEST SUMMER" that people wouldn't think it's of the A BEST series lol.

1 BEST per year for avex is pretty normal I suppose. Look at kuu and BIG BANG :P

well nope,actually im more interested with a new summer single too,and like you said we already got the compilation from a nation in A Complete. this will be like the latest version of the A Complete with quiet a number of the never unseen performances before.somehow i do hope they will re master the songs and convert the vids to 16:9 (for the older a nation performances) then it worth the money.

ah yes,totally forgot about this! :P and so the 'godly' song shes been talking about is You and Me... or maybe not...

I was mad when I first saw this because a summer best is a bit lazy (and copy-cat) to me. Kuu has a reason, she's pregnant so a summer best makes a bit sense. Plus she is Queen of best albums.... :innocent

That being said... the great selection and live clips totally makes this release worth it. BUYING IT!!!

Now I have to be honest to say this: This is one of those releases that I am...NOT anticipating on. No. It's kind of nice, but I just don't understand why she would release something like this.

I have to also wonder...why would she do a TA poll just to create this album? Hmm... I'm not sure how this would cater - would this fit new Ayu fans as this gives out a selection of songs specific to the summer theme (sampling)? Or would this be something that collectors of Ayu's music releases with another compilation of some sort?

We'll just have to wait and see - but at least it's NOT on the week that AKB48's releasing their new album that would release on the week after Ayu's...

Looking forward to hear You & Me, don't give a damn about the whole release unless the songs are indeed remastered/recorded but it's unlikely imo. Since the pic from the poster seem to have been taken in Bali i guess You & Me's pv was shot in Bali as well. 8th august is not that far away, we only have 6 weeks to wait!

But that week SMAP release their new album ...

Not too sure whether it is worth getting this release... What if the new song (& PV) and the a-nation clips are included in next year's A BEST 3 or other compilation albums (to celebrate her anniversary) with more content?

The only worrisome part for me is that the new song is on disc-A, which is aside from fairyland all ballads. i would prefer an uptempo summer song, but I suppose there's still a chance.
