Artists/Bands/Groups that you miss the most!
 

Let's talk about the artists that we are missing the most and why!

Suddenly I'm really missing Ami Suzuki, particularly during her Supreme Show era :( I hope she releases something new soon, and hopefully as amazing as SS was! :yes

Others artists that I'm really missing are sifow, Mizca, Maki Goto, An Cafe (When Bou was part of the band), and HYNA (Whatever happened to her music career :shrug).

I miss Hikki, Moon Kana and Lee Jung Hyun

- Kanon Wakeshima
- ON/OFF
- Hidemi Uematsu

I swear that both Kanon Wakeshima & ON/OFF release stuff & go MIA at the same time co-currently o_O

At least the other artistes I support are all coming back with something new within the next 3 months ;__;

Oh damn I also miss Moon Kana, I thought she was so interesting and different the first time that I watched one of her videos :laugh she's adorable too

I miss Utada Hikaru :(

I miss hikki, Crea, the supreme show Ami Suzuki as well, Dai Nagao in do as infinity, Ace of Base (not Asian but I miss them dearly).

Hikki made some epic songs with epic compositions.
Crea made very simple songs, but they were wonderful. It's kind of the opposite of hikki imo.
I'm not aware of ami Suzuki after supreme show, but from the comment I read above, it seems like she completely abondoned the disco/techno stuff! :(
Dai made some epic compositions back in the day.
Ace of Base gives me epic nostalgia... Still not asian lol.

HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR

Oh gosh, a lot of them. Hikki, BoA, Hitomi Shimatani, Yuna Ito, Ami Suzuki, the list goes on and on.

What happened with Kanon Wakeshima, BoA, Hitomi Shimatani, Yuna Ito, Ami Suzuki? Inactive?

BoA is still releasing in both Japan and Korea. (Mostly Korea atm). Ami Suzuki is living the high life as a DJ~

Hitomi Shimatani also releases as well, but mostly cover albums these days.

I miss Yellow Generation :P (Well, mostly Yuki Suzuki. She dropped a solo single and then disappeared.)

Also I hope Akina Nakamori gets over shingles soon :(

Hidemi Uematsu (for sure) and Meisa Kuroki

Ami Suzuki's DJ era needs to finish already, she should release some music before they all forget about her existence (Though I'm sure most people in Japan already did :thud).

But perhaps she's enjoying it :shrug Still, It wouldn't hurt anybody if she released a new single AT LEAST once a year or something, she could remix it and promote it while being a DJ :rolleyes

I MISS OLIVIA. SHE REALLY NEEDS TO COME BACK.

Besides her, I miss Hitomi Shimatani, Mizca, HYNA, Ami Suzuki (lol), sifow, Gyaruru, Ai Otsuka, and Mai ):

I completely forgot to add OLIVIA & Yuna Ito , especially Yuna since she did said a while back ago when she came to Singapore she's supposedly going to release something new this year but when exactly ? ._.

I miss immi so much... It's been 2 years since the release of Spiral, I need new material right now :(

supreme show is my favorite era for ami, and I really feel like it fit her soo well. I wish she could have liked it better.

She'd be like one of my top artists if she was an electronic artist like that.


I miss audio safari the most. Then Emi Hinouchi. Then mink and MAI Ruppina.

omg I forgot about hyna :tired She's such a darling. I wish her label would stop being *****.

But they don't release as often as they used to... The J-Pop scene doesn't have the same feel has it had five years ago, at least not for me. :shrug

1. hidemi uematsu - so unique, such a loss if she never comes back
2. aoyama thelma - diary and emotions era, because she's flawless
3. jyongri - one of the best voices I heard and shes gone
4. yuna ito - same as jyongri

^JYONGRI actually released a digital single not too long ago! I really like it!

4) BoA (I would like her to be consistently active in Japan again)

I miss Utada so badly, BoA needs to get back to Japan.

Damn just when I got into her music , she has been MIA from the music scene & doing non music related stuff -_-

Omg I remember BENNIE K!! They had this amazing album with songs that resemble different parts of the World, they had one which had Spanish lyrics in it :P So cool!

I miss them too U__U

I also miss Leah Dizon, OLIVIA and Chiaki! I really wonder what the heck Leah is up to nowadays lol

Oh my gosh, yes! Her music was so good.

They did a collab with BECCA called: BENNIE BECCA back in... 2010? After that... poof. ;___; I know the rapper Cico has been featured in some songs today. I wanna re-watch their The New World Tour. So awesome. >_<

I miss OLIVIA as well. I've recently been rewatching episodes of NANA and it's making me miss her more than I normally do. She provides such fresh and unique music And I'm looking forward to her return to the Jpop scene.

I really miss Leah Dizon. She grew on me so much. I still listen to her two albums a lot.

But who I really miss who just disappeared into thin air is eri nobuchika What happened to her??

Does TVXQ(5) count?

globe. I only became a fan after they faded away, but I'd love to have them back. They were unpredictable and versatile but still pretty consistently great and, to me, sounded very passionate.

I also miss MELL. Officially, she probably isn't gone but there hasn't been a single sign of life from her since 2010.

Their discographies are a bit limited but nevertheless , quality matters but I suppose if both of them are still around , BREAKERZ wouldn't be around at this point in time x)

I miss Rina Aiuchi so much... Since her retirement for health reasons, we don't have news about her... Hopefully she's getting better and come back some day.

Eri Nobuchika. Damn, that girl's first album was AMAZING. Her mini-album, hands, was lacklustre, and she hasn't released anything since :(

They only had one album but I loved it so much, they broke up though :scry

I kind of miss HYNA. I wanted to hear more from her.

SHIMATANI HITOMI!!!!!! Gurl was on to great music and suddenly...nothing...

I miss my Queen Kuu so much. It's been a weird summer with no summer single, and those live performances she usually does for promotion. Luckily she's gonna come back soon, I can't wait for her new music! :heart

I also miss Utada Hikaru. Yes, I have gotten used to wait for new material from her, but still I really miss her music. It's so awesome to listen and I want to feel that huge anticipation for her new releases again so that's why I hope she's gonna return soon.

Lee Hyori is also one of those artists that I've been missing a lot lately. I've been waiting for the new album for over one year but it never came. It's so sad that they always announce it's gonna be released and then it never comes. Oh well, I won't lose my optimism for this. I'm sure she's gonna release something soon~ :)

//OH, and Ami Suzuki too. I used to be so crazy over her music back in 2009, but then she stopped releasing new stuff and I lost my interest completely. I miss her like hell though because it was amazing to hear her new music when she happened to release something. :(
