ayu attended the London Olympics 2012
 

Ayu actually attended the London Olympics this year, or she was in London visiting together with Timmy at least.

A friend from a friend met ayu at a gay nightclub in London and couldn't believe it was her so he went and asked her. She was surprised to know that he knew her, they took a couple of pictures together.

According to the guy, she's very friendly, bubbly and funny, she was dancing to him as well.

She told him herself that they were there for the Olympics. He also said that she kept hanging herself to his neck, very friendly and perhaps tipsy too? :P

I'm trying to figure out when she must have went, she had shows every weekend up until the 12th but the Olympics also ended that night and she was on FNS on the 8th..hmm..

She was there just before the FNS performance, I'm not sure about the exact date though.

She had a concert that weekend i think and the opening ceremony was friday..with time difference i don't think she would be able to make it back in time

oh now i remember reading at Misachan's blog, Ayu tweeted about shes stuck in a traffic jam to go somewhere and shes watching the opening in her car.

She may not have been there for the first week or so of the Olympics since she had concerts the day that the Olympics began, but there was a long break where she had no concerts so she probably flew over after those concerts ended. (So she did not see opening ceremonies or anything live)

It's likely that she met friends of the actors in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert since she seems to be friends with them on Twitter and such.

There's nothing that seems to indicate when she was there on Twitter but this account seems to confirm she was there... wonder if she'll try to be in Sochi to support Mao Asada if she competes?

She probably didn't communicate anything about because she wasn't in London for work reasons, she was there during her personal time off with a friend. I don't blame her, I would do the same in her postion. I'm still annoyed at the fans that creeped her and Manny in San Francisco when she had already told them she'd see them at the airport.

OK, so I'll be searching for her in gay clubs whenever I'm in London now. Timmy probably knows all the good places xD

The 1st friday she met with fans in NY, the people who were in front never left the front for anyone else to get close to her. The people left in the back were yelling and Stan was telling them to stop and let everyone thru calmly or they would be getting in the car and leaving. Timmy had to come to the people left in the back to get their items to be signed and gifts for Ayu or it never would have settled down.

It's true, this was 3th-4th Agoust, she hasn't concert that weekend.

Well, once you put something on the interwebs, it is a done deal. People should be aware of that, never put things online that you don't want other people to see - no matter what it is. I still think it's weird that she didn't say anything about this trip AFTERWARDS. During or before it's perfectly clear. But back in Japan, it's strange.

Actually I think it's nice for her that she's still able to go out with her friend and travel like a normal person to attend an event she's interested in. Even if it's that far away from her homecountry.
Given that normally she posts a lot about what she's doing, I would have expected her to say something about it. But I am not surprised or shocked or something that she didn't. After all it was her private trip.

Oh man, that's sad. The other meetings with international fans (like the ones in LA - minus the stalking part) seemed to be so nice and calm for everyone. Maybe that's why ayu and staff started to specifically say "thanks for being so calm and staying in the lines" in some TA posts about airport / train station meetings.

It was the same the day I met her in New York too (I think the second one). The people in the front were these people from Hong Kong. One was having her sign A PICTURE OF THE TWO OF THEM. Like, are you kidding me? And they got there after everyone else, but got in front and stayed there until she left. It was very unfair for people. I was lucky to get an autograph and acknowledgement, but some people are just very greedy when it comes to meeting her. Same with the people who go multiple days. If you've met her before, can't you give people who can only go once a chance to go in front or something? It just seems like common etiquette to me.

Yeah I think the experience there is the worst I've ever seen out of her fans. Atleast you got to meet her, I only got to see her , but I also had a great visit with my brother while I was there after only seeing him at our grandpa's funeral in the lat 10 years.

Geez guys, ayu doesn't need to mention all the places she goes to. Give the girl some privacy. Someday people will demand her to describe her farts and if they smell like Channel. :S

^I don't think people begrudge Ayu her privacy. I would be happy if she made a trip around the world without telling anyone for a year, even. It's just a little weird that she didn't tell TA afterwards - after spending years of being very open about places she went. This is the woman who tweeted even about her Honeymoon Location.

I always think it must be bittersweet for Ayu now probably up until 2006 she could go overseas to New York or LA and walk around normally and enjoy herself but now social networking and the Internet has made it easier for fans to know where their fave is at any place and anytime.

I don't see why it's stupid to tell people to not spread YOUR own photos to other people. I made a video in London and the guy with hat from her staff asked me to not post it, so I didn't. I only gave it to a friend (via internet) and asked him to not post anywhere. He can post it in YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, Youku and whatever he wants but don't do.
I don't pretend to attack Surreal_Rainbow (or anyone else) as maybe he don't know the whole story and got excited and then post it here. Because he didn't ask de boy in the picture if he can post it here... maybe he didn't mind at all afterall xD

The fact she posts some of her privacy in tweet though doesn't mean she has to post about every single thing she does on earth. Maybe she wanted to go unnoticed at first and then, after olympics had finished, there was no real mood to post she had attended it anymore. I know for fans it does matter because they wanna track everything she does, but thern, I dunno, sometimes I do fun things I like to talk about with other people but when some time has elapsed I just don't feel the need for telling that thing anymore. Maybe it's what happened to ayu, so I don't think it is that strange.

I just think it's nice that she took time off and didn't feel like telling her fans. She perhaps needed that time off.
