'LOVE' mini album out November 8th, 1st of five 15th anniversary releases [II]
As usual, please try to post any new information here and I will add it to the first post.
Key points for now: - Celebrating months leading up to 15th anniversary, 5 months of releases - First part is the mini album LOVE that is coming out 11/8/12 - mini album has 3 new songs and 12 tracks - Songs are Song 4 u [composed by Yuta Nakano/HINATAspring], Melody [composed by Yasuhiko Hoshino], and Missing [composed by Kazuhiro Hara] - Melody is a medium ballad, Missing is a medium rock flavored tune overflowing with pain/sadness - every month on the 8th day of the month until the 15th anniversary, something new will be released (NOT necessarily all mini albums) on 11/8, 12/8, 1/8, 2/8, and 3/8. Well, it's big news! It should slow down until we get covers and stuff which should happen in a few weeks.

Those earphone jack charms are really popular these days. I guess because the iPhone is popular, but it doesn't have a slot for typical phone charms. The thing is, if you wanna use the jack on your phone you have to remove it over and over. Its annoying. I would go for the pouch, personally.

aww! The earjack charm is cute! I got one with the recent AAA CD... too bad I couldn't use both at the same time on my iPhone, lol. Definitely thinking about getting this from mu-mo now! It would be considerably cheaper from CDJ, so I'm hoping they get some sort of first-press goodie...

Are they so afraid of releasing a single that they're calling this release a mini-album? What do they have to lose by releasing singles? or is it just to get more money out of fans? So many questions!

I don't want WINTER BEST, I don't want any -BESTS- cause it means -OLD MATERIAL- with new cover :P My dream "compilation" album is to make some songs with ROCK arrangamenet just like she did for A BALLADS with A Song for XX -take two-. It's one of my favorite songs ever. If there will be a best-ballads thing I would love to have new arragments or re-sing of the oldies (with new music lol)
I will be happy with anything new tbh, cause 5 months would make a lot of songs, just like a full album. Just not 28738371873817381273 ballads/medium generic pop and It will be fine for me. She must do more epic rock songs like Microphone or epic organ thing songs like Return Road. She is great in that. And more "dancy" pop like Startin' or Real me. Maybe something oriental... ANYTHING REALLY, Just not another "LOVE BALLAD ~episode 128712738781738712893712318378127398127828937891~ with one instrument arragment. I just had an idea... what if she realeses MINI ALBUMS with EMOTIONS in title? Like LOVE, ANGER/HATE, LONGING or sth? That would be cool. |

Have you ever seen that 15 sec cell phone commercial that Ayu was in and they played Hanabi in it? There were children in raincoats and everything. That's what I want: some good ole Ayu. I always thought that Ayu really shows herself in ballads and rock tunes, she shines so brightly in those, especially in the last one, I don't know if I think this because generally they are the ones that I most like, but, oh well, she's a rock girl to me.
A BALLADS 2 would be heavenly to me, her recent music with an acoustic sound and gorgeous covers as the first one, as well with her marvelous voice nowadays. Yeah, this will start a fight |

If they are emotion-related titles, then I would want them to be a range of emotions, like "LOVE", "LOSS", "HATE", "HOPE", etc. :yes

Tis true, I've thrown away so many posters of the 4 years I've been here. As if I need 4 of the same poster...tbh I don't need posters at all. I don't use them. I did when I was like, a teenager, but not now.
The only first press bonuses I truly care for are things like sleeve cases, boxes, etc. But charms and mirrors and cooler bags? Meh. It's really low quality anyway. The best TA gift so far has to be the blankets that came with You were... / BALLAD. And I have 3 of them, lol. But I'll probably use the pouch with this release. Keep things like eye drops, medicine, etc. in it for my bag. (right now I use the A Nation 2011? one.) Oh, and I've been wishing for A BALLADS II for what seems like years now... I'd prefer that over an A WINTER BEST. Especially because she could incorporate tons of her winter ballads into it haha. But I'll only accept an A BALLADS II if the time and effort that goes into it is on par with the first release. |

When I lived in Japan I remember that I got one poster from a small Japanese music shop, because I bought Ayu's then current release, Blue Bird. I still have and cherish it. I bought a bunch of old releases mostly, though, so it was the only time I was entitled to a bonus. I love Blue Bird so much. |

I was looking at that last ViVi shoot and noticed she has "LOVE" written in her face, right below her left eye. And there was a ViVi cover with her which was from the Party Queen shoot... I wonder if those pics are from the mini album wshoot...

I am really excited about this, lots of instrumentals (I love to karaoke ayu) remixes and I am assuming 20 new songs (if she does 4 each time) in 5 months, sounds good to me!

I like the release concept, but I also wonder why Avex absolutely have to call it a mini-album, when it's more like an AAA single. :rolleyes

There must be a concept behind the songs that link them together; if vogue/Far away/SEASONS had been released together, would we have considered it a single or a mini-album? Personally, I would have considered it a mini-album. Especially considering their PV. I wish Ayu had produced a share PV for these three songs, it may have cemented their status as a whole album/concept more so.

They make more sense to me than the Love songs trilogy lol :shrug I would pick the original trilogy over the Love songs one any day.
Virgin road was okay by itself, the other 2 pvs confused me even more. |
