『15 years of...』Fan project: 15th Anniversary

Hello guys! I am preparing a new fan project for Ayu to celebrate her 15th Anniversary... I dont want to reveal details about it yet, but I would like you all to participate on the poll to decide the name of the project, which is going to be:

...of WHAT? Please vote HERE and add your own choices :) The very act of voting a title is part of the project, you'll understand later when I reveal part of it :D I'll update the thread as time goes by. Voting WON'T be the only thing in which fans will take part.

So, now that we have a confirmed title for the second project, which is going to be a mini-album called "again", and that we have short versions for both pv's on LOVE, I'd like to inform you guys about my plan on this project. It is curious how 2 days ago I found out that Namie Amuro staff, for her 20th Anniversary, has done something really similar to my idea. This is what they did:


I would like to create this kind of footage to celebrate Ayu's 15 anniversary. But with some differences...

The main theme will be "Why has Ayumi been so important in your life". It will start asking this question, asking why Ayu has been so successful, why is she so talented, where is the secret on her success, etc etc. So I will go little by little, from 1998 to 2013, explaining the main happenings, releases and tours of each year. There is going to be interviews with fans, mostly japanese (but also some overseas), in which they will explain the importance of Ayu in their lifes. Some of the interviews will be in video, and most of them will be in form of a letter. I will start collecting letters in some point of the future, not yet. The most moving and special reasons and stories why Ayu is important to fans will be chosen.

I would be really grateful if someone could help me find decent quality videos of promotion at the streets of some of her releases. For example, Tokyo's streets with Love Songs covers on promotions, etc.

This documentary is going to be divided in FIVE parts plus an introduction. The introduction will be revealed on November the 8th, simultaneously with LOVE. First part will be December 8th, second part January 8th, third part february 8th, fourth part March 8th, fifth and last part April 8th, for her Anniversary.

As I'm not a professional but I want this to look pro and well done, that's why there's so much space between parts. I look forward for people to expect the next part when they watch one. Videos will be subtitled in Japanese, English, Spanish, German (translation by Chibi-Chan) and more languages. The voice will talk in English.

So, this is a summary of what will the video contain:
-Parts from concerts, pv's, tv appeareances, promotion at the street.
-A voice talking and informing about Ayu's story.
-Background music, mostly official by ayu, including remix albums, orchestra versions, etc.
-Interviews with fans, in video and in letter.
-More things yet to be revealed.

I'd like to clarify that those letters and interviews WON'T be, as well, the only thing in which fans will take part.

I will be updating this with more info as time goes on, and more ideas get to me.

"15 years of dreams" ??

I'm sorry, but that's one of the most cliché, obnoxious things I've heard in a long time...

What's wrong with "Ayu's 15th Anniversary" or "15 years of Ayu"? Ayu's always saying how she wants to be true to herself, not to be seen as a product.

Mmm... voted but not for any of the given ones.... She's sunshine to me, when i feel cold in life i listen to her and she instantly warms my heart. She's my Sun and GACKT is my Moon. And i tweeted that to her a while ago, she sent a smile ^_^ But i'd go for anything as it's just my personal preferance.

Isn't it supposed to be not about just ayu but the whole idea of togetherness. She really stresses that its not just her but rather TeamAyu and her fans.

it's not clichéd or obnoxious... and as someone so boldly pointed out that Ayumi is the dream. Its almost too perfect, 15 years of Dreams (ayumi).

I really would hate to see another Music theme... she did that last year... and Hope I believe is with FIVE.. so bring on the new stuff!

I voted Dreams and I don't really care if it's a cliché. For me, Ayu is a dream. It's my dream. I dream with going to her concerts or with meeting her. Each thing related with her that I lived (twitter responses, my hand on the PoM video and her answer on beloved's PV) is part of that dream. That's why I voted 15 years of Dreams *-*

I didn't say it bolbly, I just used a bold-font. There's a difference... :P
And for me, there's a difference on being a dream or the dream, but anyhow... "Dream" is just so simple and for me, Ayu is more than a dream - for me, she's reality. And not all dreams come true, most of them doesn't and that's the point - if all of our drems'd come true, we'd learn nothing and feel nothing. I learned that through Ayu's music. But I agree with you on HOPE - been there, done that, let's move on.

I think ayu is really good at persisting in terms of her music, her injuries-yet still performing, her passion in this industry ,her love and everything..

Ayu means so many different things to so many different people. I don't think a specific theme should be given since everyone sees Ayu in a different aspect depending on their experience with her and her music.

i voted for HOPE. cos ayu's songs made me stronger during desperate times..

Miki, um..... don't you think that might become a thing of drama/people getting hurt? i mean i know it's gonna be an overwelming amount of stories, but maybe there's a way to somehow in the end use them all? unless ofcourse this is just a draft info for now...

So, just to ensure if I understood it: we must make a little video in which we tell in short how much Ayu has meant for us personally?

That's not my point of view. The point is getting beautiful stories, not getting depressing stories in which people suffers. Like, "we were ayu fans and we married and now we have kids" and stories like that. Or "Ayu's music helped me when I was in tough times due to love", etc.
