The continuation of the 5 consecutive releases has been decided. Release number two, mini album 'again', will be released on December 8th, 2012.

Just wait, it's probably going to be 5 mini-albums and then April 8th...a full album made up of all the tracks from the mini-albums X_X

Its this thought that has kept me from pre-ordering LOVE.

But, I am excited for new mini! I wonder what will be on this album. I also wonder if the titles are going to form a sentence? Or maybe she's in love again :P

maybe, but it will be like a best album/compilation album, cause I don't really see the point of making an album of an... albums. maybe it will be just a huge box with singles in a fancy designed package.

what's the diffrence? you have remixes, instrumentals and acoustic/orchestra on it, so the only diffrence is the name of realese on her discography (for me...)

and it have a plus for me, that if they are called "a mini albums" there is a chance that her next full lenght album will not include these tracks (just like MA and FIVE) so there will be more space for new material...

if they were singles like MOON/blossom, crossroad and L, they would be on a next album = just like Love songs.

I hope there will be FIVE minis, not 4 + compilation/box. I hope if they're gonna realese box/compilation of these minis, I hope it's not included of "5 month celebration" (maybe a little after that or maybe WITH the last 5th mini)

it's just we have 2 already so I think we'll have more mini's. Singles are not gonna happen for sure.

Keep in mind that they do not specify that the '5' releases are all going to be minis. However, at this rate, it's looking like that's a possibility.

I do expect a box set though.

I think the first two or three will be minis... or perhaps we'll get something like a remix album among these?

Then she would have two releases called "and", though one would be the symbol and not the word :P

I have hope that Ayu and Avex aren't dumb enough to put all these on one album at the end, especially since this abundance of releases is "for the fans". But, I suppose there's always the possibility.

And since they're doing the whole "buy all the release and get a special bonus" thing, I don't think they'll then finish the release with a box set with all of them in it... Who knows though.

Right now I'm just excited we'll be getting more music. :-)

maaybe sth like A BALLADS II, but not the "remix" form like the remixes on the mini's.
I don't know, maybe classical album. But I don't believe in "mixed" pattern (mini, mini, sth sth sth)

Well, it'd be something other than a mini since they're being very 'general' about the "5 releases". These first two just so happen to be mini albums.

Sorry, I think I didn't made myself clear.

I was trying to say that maybe on March 8th there will be the release of the last mini plus the special box containing all the 5 ones released plus A BEST 3.
But looking now, I think this would be a lot of things for just one day :P

But I'm pretty sure that we will have 15 new songs after this campaign.

Btw, Song 4 u sounds much more amazing now than the xillia version,

On topic, I'm very excited that this is another mini album. Gives more weight to the "5 minis" theory, which I think is a very clever idea.

Very excited! I hope that not all releases are minis, but I like the idea of another one. I hope there's a xmas song in there, or at least a xmas arrangement instead of a remix. XD

Perfect time to put out a winter ballad, imo.

my guess in April it'll be some sort of A BEST of the 15 years, not so much new stuff...maybe remixes.

If I don't get me my over-the-top cheesy H/\L-synth styled winter ballad a la No way to say / Days / momentum I will be killing someone.

Anniversary date is April 8th.

People are expecting something because all of these releases are 'leading up to the anniversary date' and do not end on April 8th.

^ for me (don't kill me) you already have. Missing IS kinda winterish power ballad to me. It doesn't have WINTER theme in PV but still, the arragment reminds me of putanywinterballad/momentum.

I am a little scared that we will never see a single from her ever again, but I am happy we get to hear new music. I hope "again" will be similar to "LOVE". It sounds like she is going back to the classic pop instead of that awful jazz on Party Queen.

It feels more autumn-y imo.

Missing has those winter sounds in it, yes, but it is not a full-fledged winter ballad. I don't consider CAROLS or Together When... or JEWEL winter ballads either - they are just ballads. But No way to say, momentum, Days just have that Holiday spirit about them. God I just melt on the first snowfall when I listen to Days and No way to say!!

What if "again" were just a bunch of re-records or re-makes? It would be a cool title for an album such as that, but I would prefer new songs.

They recently updated the 'serial number card' thing to say that it's for a goodie that you will get if you collect all five serial number cards from buying all five releases.

I wonder if at this point, Ayu even knows what the songs are... or if they've only just decided on the title of the release?

H/\L can stay far away from Ayumi for the rest of forever. Not here for rehashes of already generic songs tbh. Yuta Nakano already makes more interesting versions of their songs anyway.

It's okay though, since HAL basically dissolved after their work on You were... or whatever.

I love more of the good stuff. No way to say / momentum / Days / Close to you are my JAMS during the winter season - among other J-Pop x'mas styled songs!

I think I would die inside. Its a great idea, but look what happened with Sunrise/Sunset. Cool idea though.

I feel like I'm the only person in Ayu fandom that don't want winter ballad, or anything is ballad flavoured.

Well, it's kind of a given that since it's being released in December, we'll likely get something a bit slower.

Releasing an upbeat track as a 'main song' in December would be a bit much imo.

I love the style of those songs as long as the composition is extraordinary. It just seems like whenever a H/\L-esque song is made, the melody isn't very engaging either, and that's something I need since a H/\L arrangement is generally the same, if that makes sense.

I think a Christmas mini-album would be fantastic. Just like some artists do here in the states! But the chances of that are like 1%.

Yes she has released quite a few sleeper songs (slow medium-tempo), so I can understand why people might not want a ballad. But, she has yet to release a STRONG ballad. It's been 4 years since the last winter ballad I was satisfied with (Days) was released. I absolutely hated You were... - it's just a bunch of shouting and the chorus is just so ... UGH. But I need another winter styled ballad - I will cry of joy!! I love Christmas season and coupled with J-Winter Ballads, I look forward to it all year long!

I even have dreams throughout the Summer now and then, about the first snowfall. And I am always struggling to get out my iPod and listen to Days or No way to say and I'm like crying tears of joy over the fact that Winter is here in my dreams and I think "OH MY GOD I CAN LISTEN TO DAYS NOW". Lol.
I understand what you say about the melody. I am a freak about the melody in every song. I just think of how it should have been to really take it to the next level. That is why I hated You were... as the melody for the verses were pretty good but the chorus is just no good.

Reeaallyy excited for these new releases. And speaking of another A BEST album, I would absolutely LOVE it if ayu re-recorded some of her older songs.

Since I'm 90% sure THERE WILL BE winter-flavoured slow/ballad song, I would be pleased with:

1. winter song
2. sth oriental (Will, GREEN)
3. kick-ass song (electronic, rock)

Exactly. I think this is my problem with H/\L, they arrange songs like You were... which I'm absolutely not a fan of solely because of the melody. If the melody had been something fantastic, I think I'd be more-so on board with them again.

But the problem I have is that I don't want it to be just any ballad with like a bell ring on every 4th beat. I need a full-fledged WINTER ballad complete with that echo-y synth, bell rings, powerful kick. I better bring myself back down to earth, do not want to be disappointed!

I think the mini album may look like L.

1. "Epic/winter" ballad like Virgin Road
2. ???? song like Sweet Season that is somewhat... out there
3. Heavier song like Last angel

HAL never really composes stuff for Ayu. Kazuhiro Hara (who also did Missing, Sparkle, glitter, Born To Be... etc) did You were... back then. He seems to do a lot better with upbeat tracks since they tend to be super infectious.

I want a poppy song a la ANGEL'S SONG :'( (I feel I'm one of the few who likes these types of songs... HONEY, ANGEL'S SONG, etc.)

Maybe not on this release, but on one of the releases. I mean... that song is pure happiness and pop from beginning to end. I'd love another one like that to balance out a ballad.

I know You & Me was pop but... I didn't get the same feeling haha.

Love ANGEL'S SONG and HONEY too! But, I don't think she can ever sing in the style of voice she did for HONEY ever again. Her cute-sy voice now is just horrible (see "Thank U" or any recent live performance of a cute-sy song).

Interesting title. songs in LOVE are all about love. again can be interpreted many things, "dance again", "sing again", or "do it again :D" Does that mean this album has songs like her old songs again? looking forward it.

Perhaps "PRO[CREA]TE" filled with CREA songs and an announcement of her being pregnant. Lol. Either that, or some weird cover-art where she has given birth to herself (similiar to A BALLADS or L with the 'double Ayu' thing going on), representing a "re-birth" of her career / CREA as a musician.
