Well again (50,000+) and LOVE (90,000+) were singles, LOVE again is an album so hopefully it will sell 100,000 :)

The news of LOVE again totally killed these 2 mini's =.=...

Why? They are still charting as they normally would.

I'm keeping my finger crossed that LOVE again would pass the 150,000 sales mark..

at least it hit the 50K like I wanted it too...

again was AMAZING. I love each song and play the single/mini album on repeat. I think if the album is anything like it, then I will be very happy.

So it really did hit 50k
It deserves more though

with the way the japanese fans are treating the new release (love again) I think that album will do a lot better...
maybe this one will have a longer shelf life though.

The SINGLE was really good, reminds me of the higher quality of releases Ayu had between 2007-2009.

It's crazy to think that she came out with The Other Side as 'Limited Edition' with 50,000 Presses. Here we have her full release selling around that.

It actually sold much better than I thought! Honestly I was expecting 1k or even less. And lol on the single! I wonder who still acknowledges Love and again as minis.

Hopefully LOVE again will fair better than Party Queen as there were actual singles/songs promoting it.

Yeah, that's what I think. I still think it's interesting that LOVE sold so much -- is that because it was her first non-compilation release since Party Queen?

So.. again is just about 50K in sales for now? That's ... pretty low, even LOVE sold 88K @__@

^ Like I said, I think that's just because it was her first studio release since Party Queen. And when the news broke that LOVE again is coming out, I can see why people held off on buying it. I mean, there's really no point unless you're that interested in the mixes and instrumentals.

LOVE sold 92,000 already.

Some of the mixes on this CD ARE pretty good...

Yeah she even used the Wake me up remix for CDL and it was awesome.

Love did better, which is nice... I think if this was a single (both) they wouldnt have stayed in the charts for as long.

I think they would have sold less if they were officially singles.

not really, if you are an ayumi fan you would by it regardless of price.
which at this point in her career she is really just catering her music to them. Unless you are a fan that never buys and just downloads.
the minis where not that much more then a single would be... I dont understand how people miss this.
also, a lot of the fans that dont buy singles bought the minis because of the format, when they found out this is basically a single, they didnt buy, which hurt this one...

looks like again might not get certified by RIAJ since they've already released their certifications for the month of Dec 2012

again was MUCH better then LOVE (not knocking love). Maybe in another month, although I doubt it...
I would if some people are waiting to buy it with love again if they want it?

If it's so , it means that avex overshot in printing many copies of again to get sold in physical CD stores in Japan

A Gold certification given by RIAJ mean that 100,000 copies are shipped/printed to stores to get the stock sold but from the actual amount of copies that already been sold & that Oricon recorded on their website (52,227 & counting) , 47,773 copies have not been sold so far at this point in time

they wouldnt lose that money, they already sold it to the stores.
the stores lose out on the money if they never sell.

avex has already made their money off of it.

It could work that way, or maybe avex print x amount and then send, say, half of it to stores, then send the remaining copies out as stores request a restock (I have no idea how it works in Japan, just an idea)

they could do it that way as well, but when ever you talk about RIAJ, that is talking about shipped copies, which means they have all ready been paid for.
But each country does their accounting differently, so it could be different in japan, I dont know... never studied it before.

My friend is upset about the fact that the cd marked career lows for Ayuma

it is kinda sad...
I cant wait to see how LOVE again does.

Hopefully these drops in sales won't discourage her from making new music.

But that seems weird in a single selling heavy country, lol.

Maybe some people actually believed avex when they said it was a mini album...

It definietly was the album announcement.
And I honestly didn't expect it to pass 50k before. But I'm glad it did.

i know I did... they never let me down before. why 15 years into her career.
I kinda thought about it when the 2nd mini was released and then they announced a full album... I was so pissed, but I decided to wait for the meltdown till I actually knew. lol.

hoping for 10 weeks on charts.

Ok first of all I've got my copy (again cd+DVD) yesterday 24th January and I know it was super late, second I keep my promise to not listen the songs except cm before I get this album and I did it, third when I listening this album for the 1st time all I can say that AWESOME!!! More better than LOVE. The remixes really great maybe I can say the greatest remixed song from ayumi. Just still confuse why this album only sold less than LOVE. You will not regret to buy this mini album. I know people hate how avex treat this album as mini not single, and maro things, but hey....if u want to have high quality music, this album is the best option to buy. Go go go ayumi. LOVE again will be her masterpiece. I believe that and people will buy!!!

tbh i think that the CD isnt necessary unless youre a hardcore collector (like me).
The album looks nice on a shelf though.
But with love again containing all the necessary songs from the album and more (pv making of clips)...

The sales are OK, and 8 weeks are really good

55k would be fine!

I must say again is a really good release. The remixes are really awesome. I don't remember loving a recent ayu remix before the Remo-con rmx of Wake me up. Of course the fact that it was not released on a Wednesday like a normal release plays a big role in the damaged sales. I hope the same thing won't happen to LOVE again and that she would actually freaking perform some of the songs on TV for crying out loud.
