Yay!! I'm listening to the album now and I'll give a track by track (excluding singles)
1. 4 ~compass~ - Amazing opening! Pretty haunting somehow, and builds up the excitement. Transitions to WORLD QUEST really well. 3. 4+FAN - Loved it when I first heard the LQ radio rip. It sounds even better in HQ. Loving the signature NEWS sound that was produced, but at the same time, it still sounds fresh. 4. Nagisa no Onee Sumer - Loved it when I first heard the super LQ 15-second CM rip. Now it's even better in full. It's a feel good song and I'm smiling throughout listening to it. 6. Koi Matsuri - Super fun! So hyped up when I listen to it. 7. Greedier - Great song to somewhat relax from the upbeat stuff from the past 6 tracks. NEWS does R&B really well imo. They should do more of those. 8. Besame Mucho ~Kuruoshii Bolero~ - Slightly mature and mysterious sound from them. Sounds like a more intense Labyrinth to me. Sounds great! 10. Dance in the dark - Omg this sounds EPIC. Pretty experimental mix of genres. I love it so much!! 11. HIGH GROUND - It's so uplifting and cheerful. I feel like this is the kind of song I would listen to when I'm in need of a serious pick-me-up. Another great track! 13. CRY - This track is alright. I might grow on me. But I don't care for it as much as the others. 1. Beautiful Rain - The R&B-pop track by Koyama is pretty lighthearted. But I don't really think much of it now. 2. Dreamcatcher - Pretty loungy. Again, don't really care for this song for now either. 3. Remedy - Another electro-dance track like PeekaBoo... It's not bad. I kinda like it. 4. Lovin' U - Probably the best one out of the 4. I'm pretty surprised by Tegoshi's diversity in the genres of music that he can do. I was expecting another ballad judging from the title. But it's not, and it sounds really good. After listening to the album in full, Pokopon Pekorya has grown on me tremendously. I actually really like it now LOL. Overall, the album is REALLY solid and well produced. Reminds you why NEWS was great last time, but at the same time introducing newer sounds for a fresher personality of the group. I don't care for the solo tracks nor the RE bonus track much but the tour might change my mind about them. That's what happened with the Chankapana solo tracks. But for now, I'm glad I'm not missing out by ordering LE A. :laugh It's a great comeback studio album and I'm already excited for more NEWS music. They're coming back stronger than ever and I'm loving the 4-member NEWS a lot. |
The new album is awesome! It's definitely very well put together & already when Yamapi + Ryo left I was concerned how things might be for the last 4
But after the release of the 2 singles & now this, they've given assurance that yes they still can continue on as a 4 piece group! Hopefully this will not be their last release as a quartet & it's a beginning of a new chapter for them for sure So can't wait to get my copy of NEWS next month! |

Probably won't outsell LIVE, be it the first week or overall. But it seems like a steady decline i.e. they haven't left at all. I guess that's a good thing? That's a pretty huge drop between day 2 and day 3 though. Yikes.
That said, I prefer NEWS over LIVE. |

So apparently the 27 July show was cancelled halfway due to heavy rain and another show was held on the next day instead. They had to cancel it during an MC after 4+FAN and apparently there were a handful of fans sent to the hospital due to the heavy rains. 75 of them in fact. That's pretty bad.

I honestly had no idea which version to pick earlier today... Nocturne is so good it makes me wanna buy Type B just for the PV but at the same time I prefer music over extra DVDs...

SUMMER NUDE '13 is pretty good in HQ. But the stand out for me has to be Tsuki no Maboroshi. Also, Nocturne sounds like a reject from SUPERBAD to me.

Frankly I really like SUMMER NUDE '13 overall as a single & as expected since Ai Texas, Yamapi's B sides have been exceptionally good
Downside of this single? The PVs are quite poorly produced if not executed :no I like Nocturne but the feeling I get from the pv is not as great as what I feel towards the song I guess after being blown away how entertaining Ke Sera Sera's pv was I expected more this time round for SUMMER NUDE '13 but the short pv preview looks really tacky Maybe I get the single sometime in the near future when YesAsia puts it up on offer but not now that's for sure |

No wonder 5music hasn't listed it yet. I have a feeling it's because they're having production complications and didn't have foresight. The boxes for the limited editions are different from the conventional first press boxes. It's pretty cool.
