Holy crap, I had no idea Namie had such an amazing voice. :tired I can totally forgive the Engrish here-- her voice is astonishing!

OMG i think i am gonna love this, somehow her voice shows up in ballads than it does in upbeat tracks. No wonder i got into her thanks to Tempest. It's like it blooms in all it's beauty!

For the record, I've never had a problem with her use of English in her previous songs ("In the Spotlight", "Hands On Me" and "Heaven") but in this song......

So far this is my least favorite preview, but it already sounds a lot better than Beautiful. Her voice is so strong here! The PV looks stunning as well, it's like Get Myself Back <3 Which is one of my favorite songs and PV's by her! EDIT: They need to upload the Alive preview NOW, they must be saving the best for last but flfdjfdkldf RELEASE IT! |

I really don't like the direction she's going with her music. I do understand that change is important and I'm glad she seems to be enjoying herself. I just can't get into these new songs. I never really had any major issues with the use of English in her songs but to be perfectly honest I'm starting to rather dislike it. I can deal with a couple of verses here and there or even a whole song in English... but that is obviously not the case. I think I wouldn't be as disappointed if the songs weren't unimaginative or generic. As a fan I feel such guilt feeling this way.

I am such a piano ballad person.
Her english is...It's just that, you know, when you have the pure piano and vocal combo, it's like they both have to be really perfect, because it's the only thing to concentrate on. I like her vocals, but I think it would have been 10x prettier in Japanese. Just my ears though. I don't mind her direction, cause I actually like the songs. Thing is, I really only listened to Namie for the whole, live and dancing thing, and I never thought her music was all that imaginative. With the exception of Past < Future, which I think had a more diverse sound....but then, I barely liked any of the songs lol |

Let Me Let You Go sounds rearry beautiful. I for one am happy that Namie's taking a new direction in music. Her old music are good, but I want something new and refreshing. That's why I LOVE Namie <3 She sounds pretty different in almost every album. |

I had no idea she played piano. Her vocals are on point, however I could slightly hear the autotune. Just slightly, but that doesn't bother me: who doesn't use autotune. I'm not gonna complain about another song in English. I'm a ****ing English speaker. Better for me! Namie... *slow clap* |

I'm really liking how it sounds. Yes, I would've preferred it to be in Japanese, but the English doesn't bother me as much... Yet. Maybe I'll be more/less annoyed with the English when the full version comes out. But the song sounds like a beautiful one.

I don't care for Namie's ballads usually with the exception of Baby Don't Cry and Get Myself Back, but I LOVE this new ballad. The PV is beautiful!!

I LOVE LMLYG & Alive Previews!! They sound FANTASTIC!!! In Fact, This Entire Album Is Slaying Me... except for BBC which I like but still needs to grow on me more.

Dear Namie, I love you, your music and your continuous self-reinvention... but all the English singing is starting to get a little out of hand. Not that I'm saying it's bad, but you still sound so much better in Japanese.
PS - I'm still getting the album though! :D |

Getting this album for sure now and I like all 3 covers. Hmm. I'm rearry impressed. LMLYG is gonna be the new song of which I make fun. Heaven, Hands on me and alive are just total jams. I don't care what language she speaks, just give the jam and peanut butter. I love how she gives NO ***** sounding piss poor when speaking English. It's probably my fav Namie trait. She seems fearless. Even contrail and bbc have grown on me. This is the most ive ever cared about a Namie album. At most it's 3 songs. Here it's 4+. |
I think LMLYG sounds and looks fantastic. People are being way too picky about her pronunciation.

somehow i think even for her singing english in ballads is much more easier, i mean it all sounds clearer, while in up-beat tracks it just sound like a mess at least in the new ones, because i franckly never had a problem with any other english track from Uncontrolled *shrugs*

And, wow, after Let Me Let You Go I'm officially super-hyped, such a perfect preview, both for the song and the video! That's a BIG point for this album. And I love her messed-up english, 'cause it reminds me she's japanese, I think it makes her songs unique, and I kinda find it super-adorable. But I find adorable and super-perfectly-cute Ayu and Kuu's english, too, so maybe I can't speak about it!XD After Heaven, I'm so happy about this preview, it woke up my full interest again! |

I'm surprised the Full PV of LMLYG isnt out yet. With the others the full versions got posted rather quickly. Also, I enjoy her English very much & can understand her very well. Just I do think that if any part of this is doing English for her International fans, she could hire someone to at least help teach her to pronounce the words better. |
My only problem with this album is that it's too much Engrish... Hands on Me being all in English is ok, it suits that song, but Heaven and Let Me Let You Go probably would sound just as good (or better) in Japanese...

I thought Alive was not as dance-y as In The Spotlight based on the current preview, it's like semi-trance and dance? Idk what you call that, with that kind of heavy beats dominating the chorus with an autotune, reminds me of Zedd song, Clarity as I said before.

I must admit that I love the part of lyrics in Alive that go like "Rescue me my lover, kiss me back to life". I have no idea why. I'm really excited for Alive, and I like how LMLYG sounds, even though I'd prefer if it wasn't completely in English. Hands On Me and Heaven, on the other hand, I just completely dislike. Also, I like Can you feel this love because it's just all cutesy and happy. But still, I don't regret cancelling my preorder.

Namie was mentioned on Hot 995 here in DC and they were like "Left Eye's family is pissed a Japanese singer did the rap in the 20th anniversary edition." And played Namie's part so I wrote in explaining who she was and why she did the collab lol - I'm waiting to see if they say anything on the radio.
