It's meh.
What happened to Ayaka? She released the beginning and shat on all the other flops. Then beautiful was meh but ok.
Then the cover album... Im beginning to believe that once you release a cover album, your original material dips in quality.
Like with Beni for me. I liked lovebox and think that yurayura is some good stuff but then I listened to Red and was bored to tears.
Ayaka's new single does the same thing to me. I need to listen to the beginning again...

UGH Thank you for saying it. BENI's music went to complete shit when she discovered she could only sell a cover album and not original material. Makes me mad because Bitter & Sweet and Lovebox were tremendous albums. Her material started declining in he Jewel era but it died with COVERS.

Anyway, I haven't listened to ayaka since her hiatus. Gonna go check out her cover of the Utada song.

Even beautiful was better.

What happened to ayaka? She used to release haut albums and slayed left and right. Now this... Like, the beginning was quite possibly the best jpop album of 2012. Her new album has no highlights except for beautiful. Feels so disjointed. Ayaka shouldn't even bother with singles and make cohesive albums.

Sounds promising...but I just pre-ordered it (CD only, not willing to change my computer's DVD drive), and I'm NOT even going to try to listen to it until the PV on JPopsuki (HD) comes and/or the end of my school year!

But, okay...why am I seeing a couple of Hajiiro "haters" above? Well, I do agree Ayaka today is different than when she first appeared in 2006, but...

I think Nijiiro has a shot in doing much better than number one & I like the single a lot too , especially the B-side

It's a cute but very forgettable song that probably anybody of ayaka's genre could do. The trumpets are the best part of the song.
The b-side is ayaka's best song of the year so far, however. It's not as good as beautiful though... I really want to emphasize how gensoukyoku really saves the single. I love ayaka but ultimately nijiiro is trash. She can do so much better, and gensoukyoku is proof of that.
Let's see, from her last album, I've personally heard only two good songs, beautiful and gensoukyoku, with the latter probably not appearing on ayaka's new album. The new album is really not going to be her best....
