"Feel the love" short ver. PV
seems like avex just uploaded the PV for Feel the love. so cute and funny though! seems like forever she's done a PV on a 3rd person POV... I kinda like that she's not really the main "star"? also the last part omg gurl needs some acting classes ASAP lol
|
ok, i just woke up....
|
I'm not sure if I liked it... :/ I'm curious to hear others opinions though! ^^
|
Yay! So cute and silly, haha. Now we know why James Ellis was in this.
|
James Ellis was like in it for ten seconds though lol. better than taking up the whole video, IMHO :p
|
well that was.....
|
Dont know if it was funny or absolutely cheap and ridiculous
|
I think it's hilariously endearing.
|
yeah... I didn't think of it as cheap. looks like something she did cos it's fun and it's a fun song. she really made herself look stupid at the last scene though
|
i can see some people judging this, saying that ayu's statement was "be thin like me and get your man", i still don't have some strong opinion about it.
this video was definitely western-like, despite the song i can't feel any japanese vibe around it. |
I think the statement is something like, "if you work hard, you can get your man" or something like that. Though Ayu appearing at the end is pretty out there... I mean, I didn't expect that at all, haha.
|
what happened in the end? so Ayuis James Ellis's girlfriend?
|
Am I the only one who didn't get the ending? When it finally seemed to me the girl accepted her body-shape...? What was that, if you run a lot and cur your hair you turn Japanese? :roflmao
It was fun though the cartoon parts look really cheap. All the rest is really good imo and different from what she had being done [not that this would be a difficult thing but well]. Summing up, funny and really good PV, a bit weird but still works. |

If there's a message then it's that someone should work hard to get whatever he wants. Don't forget that ayu eats well and does a lot of exercise too in order to stay in shape. The main acctress also seemed to enjoy it =) The PV is funny and i love it! |
Quote:
I think they could've had Ayu do it in a bodysuit so that it would make more sense, but the actress is a stand-in for Ayu, I suppose? She's been up and down with her weight too. |
As funny as offensive... It would be a funny and fresh video if the ending was different.
The main message is: Unless you change your body (and maybe your race), you're a crap and the boy will run away from you xD All that running to become ayu xD |
Quote:
|
I'm just so glad this isn't another boyfriend/girlfriend PV that I actually think I enjoyed it ! And as it was said before, I like when she's not the main character, it's good for a change!
Then I guess the picture she tweeted on a bench with the dog is for Merry-go-round? |
Quote:
Does every single glimpse of her running through a new scenario have some reference to Ayu or DJ Hello Kitty in it? LOL. |
and thank god it wasn't a 'relationship drama' video.
i dont think MGR will be connected to it. |
We really have no hints as to what Merry-go-round will be like...
Looking forward to seeing what they filmed. |
I thought it was cute and funny but the ending I was in two minds about. Ie, you can't be with who you want unless you change being the ultimate message, but it was cute
|
I'm not really sure how to view this. Maybe I need to watch it a few more times. In my opinion, encouraging someone to change their appearance for someone they like under the guise of "working hard for something" is unhealthy and wrong, so I hope to hear different interpretations of the video from other users.
|
Well the cartoon parts are probably supposed to look like 60s animation. So it would look "cheap" like that.
But. That was awful. I don't even. It's like having a PV where some girl gets randomly groped while she's in a club, but it's okay because at the end it turns out she was touched by the guy she really likes. She was still sexually assaulted, but everything is just peachy because the message of the PV was, "Love is where you least expect it." Sorry. She could never get away with this here. I'm glad you guys can look past her stupidity and see the message they were trying to convey and enjoy it. Doesn't stop the PV from being insulting to that girl, and people in general. |
I dunno, it could have been better if the ending was like that James Ellis sees the main girl and hugs her or something anyways. I don't really get the Ayu part though... her appearance was sadly unnecessary. I'm not even sure if the main girl even 'transformed' into Ayu..
|
I think the video is being taken a bit too seriously...
|
I really don't like this. I feel sad to say this but I think it has to much cheap American influence. I want japanese Ayu. Because she go so often in LA, I think it has a bad influence on her and she will be more american and less japanese. I repeat myself, I want Ayu japanese style!
|
the girl's shoot is way more than ayu's...
is ayu endorsed in any fitness club? i'm speechless... |
I wanted to see how the girl gets to that man but then ayu appeared and I feel kinda sorry for that girl :/

@junnie: idk. It's. unfortunate. I wonder if I'm being sensitive after being at this other forum all day.
But even so. It's still fairly stupid. At least the song seems better though. The chorus is still disgusting, but the arrangement sounds better with all the little things here and there. People take things seriously that are serious. What if I just came up in here and started saying "fa g this and fa g that". Oh but, you don't have to take me seriously! You guys know I'm just kidding and I use slang all the time. Right? Totally makes it acceptable for me to call whoever fags, regardless if it offends people, cause I'm just being fun! |

I think the 'twist' was that in the end, Ayu is actually that girl that we had seen running back and forth in some sort of crossroad-y sort of way. (Masashi Muto totally directed this) James should have just hugged the girl though instead of having her turn into Ayu after looking at her oddly the first time around. Though they could have probably worked Ayu in at the beginning or something instead of at the end... but she did look great~ |
Quote:
Can you not. I read this before even watching the pv and almost died. In my opinion the girl ended up loving herself in the end, so the guy saw the "beautiful" in her and that's when ayu appeared? Something like that movie Shallow Hal. But anyway, I just know people are going to freak out and exaggerate like emiko, but whatever. To be honest, not a pv that I will be watching again. I thought progress was her worst pv but there's actually a new low. I just hate the pv, I hate the idea and how they portrayed it. It's just not a pv to watch over and over again. |
Quote:
|
SURREAL, that isn't really what it's like at all.
|
Anyway, I don't think ayu needs any justifications. She proved enough times to not judge people by appearance, race, sex or sexual orientation. It's obviously wasn't meant to have a negative or an offensive message but on the contrary.
|
I like the concept of the video, however, the pv can b film in a better way. Maybe let ayu do the shoots, filming her slowly slimming down, working hard to her target instead of another blonde girl suddenly changing to ayu =.="
|
Quote:
|
i dunno why but i seriously think that there will be another version of this PV... with more ayu and DJ Kitty...
|
I agree regarding the message of the video, but maybe because Japan still hold to that conventional idea of good looking women but I'm not sure.
My only concern in how ayu acted at the end...that's so weird, she shouldn't go the commercial / game show girl mode :| |
Maybe on the album? Kind of like the B&D Side Story thing.
|
i tot it was cute until..LOL the end. I was like omg no Ayu HAHHA. She looked bimbotic in that scene HAHAHA but it was so funny
From a cinematic pt, the constant one-direction of the PV is gd! It shows how u just progress towards ONE GOAL in the direction you set out too. I think the PV is quite different from the typical Ayu PV (and still better than Shake It and NaNaNa). Just well, I could see lots of contention about the message it is trying to convey. |
^I do think the direction was good there.
but annnnnnyyyywaaaaayss. I guess it's surprising. I was waiting for like an ayu dancing around with the dj kitty at the beach pv lol |
It was funny, but I also felt sorry for the girl. I guess it would have been better if they made Ayu look obese and do all that silly and funny stuff. The animation is trash just like the refren xD
|
Yeah, I wanted them to make Ayu look chubby and then show the progression, I suppose...
But you know how these 'twists' go usually, lol. |
I really don't have any problems with the plot, the characters and the message. My problem is that Ayu want to be American, this is my opinion (I love U.S.A. I don't have any problems with that) But I love Ayu because she is japanese and I want her to stay like this. But if she want to make something like western style it's ok but I hope she knows when to stop this.
|
It would've been a million times better if they made ayu fat, even though the idea overall is silly to me anyway.
|
I don't get the "Westernized VS Japanese" thing... from the day she dyed her hair Blonde I don't think "ayumi hamasaki" is any Japanese. she got a divorce (or at least one of the reasons for it) was because she chose to stay in her home country in a time of its crisis. how un-Japanese can that be?
girl has been making loads of "westernized" stuff since her debut days. |
Somehow now it seems as Ayu is some sort of diva who shouldn't look inferior/obese/unattractive so they found an actress to look silly. I don't think they wanted the PV to look offensive but it can totally be seen as such.

my problems with the video were:
- the subliminal message and how "wrong"it can be perceived - Ayu looks bimbotic and embarrassing in the last scene. she can't... flirt with boys lol. that was so awkward. |
I was looking forward to seeing that hunk half-naked throughout the whole PV but I got.... an obese girl trying to change herself into the perfect image of Ayu lol Oh well

Our sort of "LETS GO WORK HARD!" videos come out like Katy Perry's Roar. Not, "WORK HARD HAVE A MAN LOOK NOTICE YOU!" |
Another note...
THIS IS HER FIRST FULL PV UPLOAD SINCE HOW LONG???? |

I would have liked it better if she got all fit and bedazzled and then didn't need the man...but that's just me. :P

I don't think she actually "became" Ayu in that last scene, more that she felt confident and Ayu had to appear in the video somehow :P She wasn't becoming thinner during the video but changed at the last second. I really love this PV and I haven't been overly impressed by her PVs for a long time so this is a breath of fresh air. It's silly, random and actually makes me like a song I didn't enjoy on listening only For the longest time Ayu's been criticised for not being fun and random and we finally get a PV that's so different to anything else she's done!! |
Strange PV...
It's obvious they don't want it to be offensive, they probably want to send out the good message of doing everything to get what you want in life. However... It's done in a bad way. Mostly they are making fun of the big girl, she looks silly from beginning to end, noticed that's she's eating chicken as a snack ? And that she has to exercise to get her man... I was like, ok... And the fact that Ayu pops out of nowhere to hug the man just adds to the confusion. Aside from that, this is certainly not a PV I will watch over and over as I prefer beautiful PVs over funny ones. And this song is barely okay anyway. |
This pv is funny.. Its something fresh from ayu..
But it would be better if the girl is ayu like in my name is woman. |
When I first watched I knew she's gonna be ayu in the end. Too bad they didn't show the TV scene in full.
Does anybody realise this PV looks like 200 POUNDS BEAUTY? |
3:11 minutes and ayu only appear in the pv 2 secodns what the fuck is that? :@
|

Both Hello Kitty and Ayu appear randomly while the girl is running, haha. It's pretty awesome. I wonder if I can find all those locations in LA... some of them look familiar.
|
I don't care what her statement was after all, this PV was funny and I really love that funny Ayu. :D
|
I actually thought this was somehow uplifting and motivating : you try hard to achieve something (although being ayu, that something is "Love"). The girl looked happy running around and that gave me a happy vibe too.
I like it, it's a funny and silly PV but still has some message on it. I just don't like the cartoon part. My favorite scene was when she joined the aerobics team and dancing to the beat. the guy in the top right looked like Justin Bieber :D |
^
Like Th said earlier I do get some Bewitched vibe from the cartoon scene, but oh well a bit "cheap" looking I dont know but I LOLed everytime DJ Hello Kitty appeared next to that girl, the aerobic scene, the saloon scene haha, xD I would love to see Ayu the one whos playing the rol as the chubby girl, would be waay better and also they show the scene of Ayu and DJ HK not only the girl running,a bit long PS: the last part, I think nothing wrong there with her acting, shes just being silly and over cute haha, loved her sexy pink dress |
just watched it, i enjoyed it, it's very funny, the cartoon isn't that cheap. and ayu at the end is so sexyy and stunning, i don't think her acting is so bad. love her mini dress anyway.
so this PV shows a chubby/obese girl who's trying so hard to be slim, but chose not to in the end, finally the guy sees the beauty inside of her n they start dating, right? |
Love the pv. Totally different from what she did before. It's fresh, funny & colourful. For me the messages behind this pv are:
1) if you work hard you'll be able to reach your goal 2) If you accept yourself, you'll look great & beautiful in the eyes of others. => to accept yourself isn't as easy as you can think. It can take a lot of time & work to be able to do it. (it's why we see the girl runs and does sport during several days) I don't think the message is : lose weight to be accepted by guys, girls. If it was that, we'll see the fat girl becomes thin. But here, the guys sees her differently....as a different person from what she was at the beginning (before she accepted herself as she is). It's why she turns into Ayu & she didn't slim down. For me, this pv gets an international message too. The look of others on some people are formed by our societies (for example you never see fat people as model for a fashion magazine). The society want us to be as its wants, for example, thin. For me, Ayu denounce that. It's why she amplifies her acting at the end to look ridiculous...she wants us to laugh about that & wants us to stop to think that these things are the right thing to do or the most important things to do, to feel good about yourself. The first step is to accept yourself as you are & not to mould youself according to society's standarts. Well, I don't know if what I wrote is really clear! Sorry >.< |
Not what I expected but it felt uplifting and fun. Now I want to start running to this song!
|
^
^okay you make me like the PV more, if it's really like what you said. |
This is the first time Ayu has done something new PV wise in ages. Everyone should be loving this.
Seriously, this is quite refreshing and better than all the PVs from the past 3-4 years combined. I guess people want more of the same dull shit, with different shots and angles with little to no scenery changes of ayu picking her nose and touching her face. |

This is one of the best Ayu PVs ever, in my opinion, it truly conveys a message, fits with the song, and lifts my spirits. :) |
After thinking a little about it I got it in the same way as Yoake ^^ I'm glad other people see the same as me.
I think the PV is too funny, I like how DJ Hello Kitty is everywhere but is not the main character xD |
Quote:
|
I agree with Yoake. Plus, I want to enjoy such funny PV as long as I can before Avex decided to take back the full PV. I really surprised. Thank you, avex! XD
|
Making GIFs now.
|
Does the message mean that " guys will only take a second look at you ONLY if you are slim and beautiful?"
At the last part, when the fat girl is running after James Ellis, he seem to ignore her. And then came the slimer and beautiful ayu, he seemed to stunned and mesmerised and eventually accepted her hug. Lol |
This PV is very early and made me quite disappointing !
I 'd rather It would be uploaded in the middle of December, The effect on the single will be better ! I feel disappointed because Ayu didn't appear so much in the PV. Moreover I don't like sexy Ayu in the pink dress. I think Ayu in TV is super cute because of her outfit and her style of hair. I wish she would be better with the other style hair and more beautiful dress. The PV got 7/10 (in my opinion ) |
Quote:
The bold part: now that you mentioned it I can understand it, so when the girl is running towards the guy in the park, she bumped into the other guy whos holding the balloons ( which I think hes Masashi Muto xD) the detached from his hand and the camera shows the balloons in the sky, meanwhile the girl fell on the ground, now they switched it to Ayu as the guy saw that girl fell before, and here when the guy saw the girls as "Ayu" a new girl whos confident with herself and more charming, thats why Ayu being silly and over cute like that,to immitate the girl's character, and I love it :D just dont need to view this PV too serious |

I think they just stuck Ayu in there because it's pretty shocking, not because it means "look, you have to be skinny to be liked!" because I'm pretty sure Ayu doesn't believe that. |
I just think they wanted the PV to look funny and silly, and Ayu was too lazy to become the obese and the silly one lol Unfortunately, as I see, there are a lot of fans who are not entertained lol
Let's be frank, the physical appearance IS important. Otherwise, Ayu wouldn't be so sexy, and that hunk would be making out with that chubby girl instead. |
I LOVED THE PV lol so funny. :luv2:luv2
after watching this pv and reading some comments makes me feel that some people want ayu to top all the pvs shes ever done whether it is the most serious thing ever. today lol random, but i was watching j. k. rowling's interview of how her phenomenal phase of book writing is over for harry potter and she will be starting a new phase that she has no thought of topping over the success she's had with harry potter. This really reminded me of ayu, i feel that she has started a new phase in her musical career and that she may not want to top over her previous major successes in which many wanted her to do. I feel everyone is going way crazy on ayu's musical and pv direction , she is an artist and definitely has the right to experiment and have fun This is just my opinion, just wanted to throw it in here |
I think in the end the girl is still fat but she has that "ayu" confidence. If you know what I mean
