So finally TV Asahi had announced the official line up for Music Station Super Live will be airing on 27th December 2013 , and Ayumi Hamasaki is going to attend it! :D:luv2

I hope this isn't true, because otherwise it makes her look really desperate: selling the single two weeks early on iTunes, announcing her engagement, and now appearing on MSta after 3 years.

I lose my hope when she didn't appear on FNS. But now, MUSIC STATION!! OMG, Am I dreaming???

My biggest hope would be SAKURA (acoustic intro) + feel the love but it will probably be two old songs or old song+feel the love

Feel the merry-go-round would be best.

But she defifinately was. No flowers from MS at Countdown Live is a huge proof.

Ayu's coming back to Music Station for the first time since 2011 (and first MSSL since 2010)! But too bad for me I'm going to be out in Florida...

Someone refresh my memory: why was Ayu "banned" from MSta?

She was scheduled to perform beloved at MS around 2011 when FIVE was released but due to getting stuck in New York around Fashion Week in September or so, she was unable to get back to Japan at the time since her manager sort of botched the flight schedule and there were no flights home. After that, we haven't seen her perform on the show until now.

Since then, it seems there's a bit of bad blood since most artists (if not all) NEVER miss MS once they are scheduled. Ayu's missed either two or three times, but I think one time it was because she had a major hand injury.

This is why I really don't like her going overseas too much around release periods.

Yes, she missed MS Super Live 2008 because of her accident, the emergency surgery on her hand was the day before the program. She did apologize on TA later for missing, but of course no one blamed her because it was a medical emergency... On 2011, though, they had no mercy in bashing her for not making it and even started stupid rumors about why she didn't attend >.<

I kind of dread the TV perfs. of evolution and SURREAL as they are rarely good...I really hoped she would just do Feel the love/Merry-go-round.

It was already expected, Feel the love + something old...

It's not that I hate evolution or SURREAL, but she's performed them soooo many times now, haha. If she's going to do them often nowadays, I feel like she needs to update the performances each time.

It is one of her best songs. And I enjoy it live most of the time, BUT there was one particular TV performance in 2010 - I think it was MSTA Super Live as well, where she performed Mirrorcle World and SURREAL, SURREAL was so bad. I swear it was among her worst performances ever.

It was in 2008 and her voice back then was not in a good shape but the performance of SURREAL last year in "Hey ! x3" was pretty good imo ^^
Evolution should be keep only for her concerts because it's too fast even when she released the song in 2001 it was ok because her voice was high pitched but sometimes it was all over the place lol

she really likes to sing evolution & SURREAL in her concerts and now for television too..she has so many other popular songs in her discography that she could perform

Yeah thanx, meant to say 10th Anni. XD Yea last year on Heyx3 SURREAL was pretty good. It's odd cuz SURREAL and evo are the songs I really look forward to during the concerts, but not on TV.

Also many artists seem to be performing older tracks as well~

All horrible song choices, so disappoined. Merry go round needed a TV live, it's the best song she's made in quite some time.

Second A-sides almost never get live TV performances, Merry-go-round was out of question for TV as soon as it was announced X/Merry-go-round. Even if you like it more the the first a-side there's no need to expect it to be performed on a TV live =P

Feel the love is a great song and at least it gets some promo.

Besides if you look at the set list all of the acts that sing more than 1 song (probably medleys) have their own hits and evolution and SURREAL are 2 of ayu's biggest hits.

I thought "Boys&Girls" single was her biggest single?

Not quite, there are also SEASONS and M but evolutoin and SURREAL are really loved performances by the japanese audience. Otherwise ayu wouldn't perform them that much. Boys & Girls too but they probably needed to choose 2 songs and they decided the evo-S medley.
