I hope there's a classical version of it. Armin has a classical version of one of his most popular songs and it's gorgeous. But it's wishful thinking lol. Super stoked for this though! Especially considering her last re-cut single was in 2001.

Boy if they ever decide to do another drizzly single, now's the time.

Terminal and Angel are one of the most interesting tracks in my opinion on the album, not necessarily because of the songs themselves but because of the lyrics! Ayu uses the imagery of angels and wings quite often but Terminal is the song in which she changes it up, she sounds desperate even willing to become a demon for the person she loves!
I really wonder if it will be somehow connected to the Angel PV, I think that would be quite cool! :)

Hmm.. I'm not a big fan of Terminal. I like the part, where she is singing.. but the rest is to much trance/house for me. But a PV will always be interessting.

There's nothing about this at TA, not in e-mails or her blog or the news on her official site, and For "A"ver Club has yet to list a source for this.

Well if it's true it will probably have other trance djs mixing it.

Not sure too. They state that it's pending for confirmation but they seemed pretty confident that there will be this single and it will be released with a PV (meaning cd+dvd). They even open a bulk pre order for Teamayu version (might be freebie or ta ltd edt)

It'd be exactly what I asked for. A remix-single of "Terminal". Seven to eight tracks, please. Sighs... Hopefully it's going to happen. It might be a cheap trick, though. Those news need to be confirmed quickly.

I Love Terminal but there's nothing on TA, it's just a rumor and maybe even not that.

I think that this thread should be removed until there's something official.

If it is true this is a disaster idea, Angel/Pray are miles better than that song, They would've been excellent singles. I realize Ayumi has little control over what she releases, Avex has to make money somehow, but this would be a disastrous plan to release Terminal as a single. Who would buy it? Are they trying to see just how bad it will flop? I've been an Ayumi fan since the dawn of time, and to date there has been only 1 album that I flat out refused to buy and that was Party Queen. Re-releasing this poor grade Terminal song, would be the second big release that I wouldn't waste money on. There my 2 cents that no one cares about. Carry on with the Ayumi fandom!

My 2 cents would be the opposite, Terminal is, in my opinion, the best song on "Colours" and I would buy this single. I think Ayu isn't as controlled by avex as you think, and if she thought this would be a disaster, she wouldn't agree to it.

Angel is an awful song.

I really Hate Terminal, but a maxi single for this track is the most logic idea,
is really obvious that Van Burreen tried a lot of posibilities, sounds and mixes for this track
he is a dj after all, so behind Terminal obviously are a looot of remixes.
or even listening Terminal by the heands of other djs.

Terminal is one of my favorite songs from the album, while Angel is the absolute worst for me.

That Facebook page tends to post bullshit from time to time so I won't even consider this true yet. Although it's quite logical to re-release the song as a single.

While absolutely nothing has been posted to TA, a re-cut single could be fun if done right.

That means good remixes, good video, and possibly the English version or a b-side.

I personally think that terminal is a awful song that seriously lacks life, so I hope the remixes make the song a whole lot better ^____^

Uh, "Angel" has very touching vocals, just the chorus is somewhat tedious. No offence, though. However, it's an entirely subjective point of view.

Moreover, I agree with everyone considering "Terminal" as the best track of "Colours". A remix single produced in the same style as the German single releases would be terrific.

Well Colours has 3 best tracks, Lelio, Terminal and XOXO.
I wouldn't mind a triple a-side re-cut lol but Terminal is one of them so it's great if it would be true. So far nothing official about this whole thing though.

I would actually prefer a new a-side/double a-side single with new songs.

That's irrespective of what I think is the 'best' song in Colours. I love Lelio and only okay with Angel. I'm indifferent with the rest of them, including Terminal (I think the song could have been so much better), but I think Pray is an amazing song. If I had to pick a 'best' song in the album, it's Pray. I don't understand the hate, really. I think it's a well-sung, powerful ballad that we (I) haven't heard in a while, but again this is my personal opinion and in no way do I impose this upon anyone (since this is AHS I feel the need to emphasize this). Why do so many of you hate Pray?

It has been speculating arond in baidu bar since yesterday. No credible source was cited, but it was posted by a credible user. Unless they release the official news, let just assume this as a rumor. It also says the single will only have one version (it could be either CD or CD+DVD)

You know, in china is where they produce all the physical CD's and DVD's, and then they get delivered to Japan. Maybe they know this info thanks to an internal source... whatever :P I am just speculating... never mind :P

strange to release a single...?! in that case only digital : sales of the album are only 50.000 copies with difficulties, so what about the single ?! 10.000 maximum ?! well why not but what a waste....(for, no doubt, only : 1 club version, 1 radio version, 1 album version, 1 remix and the dub version)

Since we know that Armin is/was in possession of Terminal's English vocal track, it is just logical that fans are craving for that version of the song.

Thus, it is actually quite possible to happen in case that Avex is going to release a "Terminal" single.

One thing for sure if she release a recut single: She's having a statement.

I remember someone explaining about the reason why Ayu release Daybreak as a re-cut single, it's the moment when she wants to change. The lyrics proves that she has a new understanding, something like that.

One thing that's cool about recut singles is we can have remixes of album songs. I loved that on Daybreak we got remixes of no more words, and I am... We even got an extended mix of the opening interlude. If terminal was released as a single before Colours came out, we'd probably just have a remix of terminal and maybe feel the love. However, now that the album is out, she can put remixes of any of the album songs on it. I would love a remix of Lelio.

Angel I think could also lend itself to being remixed. Lots of chances to play with her Ohs and Ahs.

But honestly I don't even like Terminal that much lol. It feels like a chore to listen to. I really have to be in the mood. Which is sad, cuz the lyrics are good. I'd love a mellowed out version. Or less headache inducing at least :-p

I'm really surprised that Connected is such a loved song on this forum. (Hell, it's in my top 5) Then we have Terminal which tons of people really seem to hate. I feel like people got their hopes up really high after Connected and had their expectations crushed when they didn't get a song they instantly loved as much as Connected.

Trance has really changed since the time Connected was released.

i actually enjoyed Connected, for some reason. And that kinda music is really not my cup of tea. But it somehow had me in it's hand for quite a while, i really like the song. It doesn't go on forever having totally pointless gaps of music that make me fall asleep, I think i could come to like terminal but i just find it way too long and wayy to boring sound-wise. I still think it's the worst on the album. It just drags on and on. While i do enjoy the vocals of Ayu in it, the music just makes me sleepy, which doesn't make me wanna listen to it at all.

Frankly though? As much as i enjoy Angel or any other song, i don't think any of them is a decent go for a single. They all sound way too weak in my ears.

She can do whatever she wants really, I am sure this in an "era" she will get over with. So i am waiting for that.

^So do you think you'd like it more if it had maybe a 3 or 4 minute radio edit, and sounded a bit more "sharp" so it doesn't put you to sleep? :laugh

I personally don't like Connected that much (her voice is so annoying) but I simply love the epic Terminal!!

I don't like Terminal much because it's sooo flaaat... It's alright, but it needed so much more oomph to catch me. It needed to be more dynamic.

I think that's what most people need lol. It's the instrumental parts that get them and if you're not used to or don't like it, it can be boring. I like it though.

I also like connected. Is there an extended version of that by the way?

^Yeah on the vinyl there's "Connected (Ferry Corsten's Extended 12'' Mix)" which is the same thing as "Connected (Extended)" on Ferry Corsten's CD album "The Very Best of Ferry Corsten". It's 6 minutes and 35 seconds long. The vinyl ripped file that's been floating around for a long time is only 192, and since it was released on CD I've been trying to find 320kbps of it.

I thought Terminal was the song most loved from Colours, here, and Angel the hated one. I've been away from this forum for too much, I guess lol.

I want a new trance album :( I relistened to ayu trance 4 today and was so disappointed bc it was all old material like poker face, vogue etc.

I really didn't like trance 4. Her first 3 had really memorable songs that blew me away like M (Above & Beyond Mix), Hanabi (Lange remix), appears (Armin van Buuren's Sunset Dub), Real me (Megara vs DJ Lee remix), and Connected (Talla 2XLC remix). Ayu trance 4 had a bunch of okay songs, but none I would really call "amazing". The only remixes that I thought were okay were Far away, Rule, Days, poker face, and monochrome.

I guess the biggest reason for me to have enjoyed ayu trance 4 was the instrumental tracks tbh :P

Trance in general is predestinated to be mainly instrumental, even if it is vocal trance. I get what disturbs people when listening to "Terminal". I for one, as a fan of excessive, instrumental trance sessions, totally fell in love with "Terminal" from the very beginning.

Neato completo. It's not my favorite Colours song simply due to the lyrics kind of bothering me but the song itself is very powerful, dark, and beautiful in its own way, so I think it's a good one for her to release.

As someone who loves almost every style Ayumi Hamasaki has gone for, I personally believe that this style suits her best. I love rock Ayu, "classical" Ayu, pop Ayu, and every other style she's done, but techno/trance is just perfect for her. :D

I think i could listen to that, i just need a bit more or richness in the arrangement, something interesting in it.And yeah much shorter. The intro just drags on and on. 30 seconds for an intro is already way too much for me, and this one, being so bare in arrangement has over a minute, that's enough to put me to sleep lol. Not to mention the rest of the gaps are way too long as well and they are quite repetetive. If they took out 2 minutes of pointless music in it i think i could come to enjoy it much more. I know i've been saying it's a bad song and it still is to me, but i don't hate it as much right now lol I like the darkness of it and the melody (not the arangement). I just feel like i need a bit more life in it. It's a bit dead arangement-wise. But i think if they cut if off a bit i could put it to the level of XOXO. It wouldn't be my favorite but it would be at least decent somewhat for me ears lol
