Does Anyone cosplay Ayu anymore?
Im a cosplayer and wonder if anyone ever see's cosplays of her at cons these days. i see no posts on any sites.

I haven't seen any in a few years now. Last time I saw a bunch of Ayu cosplayers was after the Ladies Night PV.
Since then I've seen photos of people dressed like Ayu in the Sparkle PV and the red dress from the Mirrorcle World PV, but nothing more recent than those. It may delight you to know I'm planning an A Song for XX A museum cosplay for the near future lol :) |
Yep, there are still people who do it, I saw a few cosplayers at her tour this year, including cosplays of pretty recent outfits, like last year's tour's outfits :)

I wanna see rainbow cosplaying. Someone should paint themselves blue, and dye their hair rainbow colours, and walk around nude.

If there can be Doctor Manhattan cosplayers, there can be Ayu RAINBOW cosplayers. SOMEONE MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Ayu can be so easy to cosplay. You can also wear nothing but jeans and put on a long blonde wig and brush it over your breasts and bam. You got yourself a LOVEppears outfit.

I always thought it would be cool to cosplay appears. Especially since ayu is actually my skin tone there. But do it with someone who is cosplaying LOVEppears.

I was wondering if any of you are in the states and could help me find an ayu cosplayer. I have been cosplaying as Yocchan her guitarist for 4 years and gave up tryin to find an ayu 2 years ago. It would an epic collaboration Ive heard from people. I actually know how to play the guitar I carry and would like to have an ayu. yocchan is my guitar hero!

If someone cosplayed her ourselves outfit, it would be amazing. Especially if they got it exactly right. I've seen about 2 of those in my life and they were both half-assed put together with no effort. People think they can put on a black wig, corset, and fishnet stockings with boots and call it "cosplay".

In Japan, she has TONS of cosplayers, male and female.
In the West though, it tends to be Ladies Night and that's about it. I know someone did Mirrorcle World a while back too. Cosplaying with music icons isn't really that common honestly... unless it's Lady GaGa or Katy Perry. |
I really like to see cosplayers. I appreciate all the effort and hours of work to get to the final result. Some cosplayers are pretty impressive because they are so close to reality.

I'm in Texas right now. I used to meet Ayu cosplayers in southern california, and I know AHS user Nessa used to cosplay Ayu alot. I'm getting back into cosplay for the first time in years, personally, and it'd be very cool to have a Yocchan around depending on when & where. |
hi, im in indianapolis Indiana. Im dont drive so main cons im kinda limited to are anime central (Chicago) C2E2 (Chicago) GenCon (Indianapolis) and maybe eventually Ohayocon (Columbus Ohio) I have 3 different Yocchan cosplays now, I have been trying to find an ayu for quite some time. My newest one is being debuted at GenCon this year August 14-17. less than a week im pumped!! :D

I love to see those Ayu cosplays. I am trying to sew the costume for AT12 the next love/eyes smoke magic (got stuck cause of a wisdom teeth surgery and some pretty bad side effects after the surgery :dead2) Hope I can start with that one soon again.
Also in planning or preperation are AT10 Last Angel (hopefully in the future the AT10 Microphone one), the AT10 Bunny Ayu from Sexy little things and AT10 count down/Memorial address (just purchased fabric for this one. So excited) My first cosplays were Wicked G(a)linda Bubble dress, Tanz der Vampire Red Ball gown (a German musical) and two Kalafina cosplays (got to show these to Kalafina as the visited Europe (Animagic 2012) for the first time). |

I can definitely see why it'd be hard to find an Ayu in your area o___o Ayu cosplay is indeed rare these days, and the few I've seen have been based in California. (More J-music fans there in general, probably.) I do know a few Cosplayers here in Texas but we're all pretty spread out... I doubt I'll find a Yo-chan or any other Ayu cosplayers here without getting them into Ayu music myself, haha :P
