Very true, but think of it the other way around. Someone who is probably just starting out in the music business gets a huge assignment like this. Definitely something to slap on a resume. I'm almost done with college with my degree in graphic design, and I couldn't even imagine what it would be like if my first assignment was to design the album booklet for Lady Gaga's next album or something.

If the remix is awesome then cool. If it sucks then we'll just move on and not listen to it and add it to the many many many other remixes she has that aren't very good.

I was honestly shocked. Now I wish it wasn't true because the way they are going about this is a fucking disaster. It'd be better off if they hadn't released this as all if this is the way they were gonna handle it!

So I take it that this single won't be getting a PV?

I just realized that that ebay link says the entire single is 13 minutes long.

Terminal is 5 minutes 45 seconds long
the dub mix is 4 minutes 33 seconds long
Together that's 10 minutes and 18 seconds. So the remix is only 2 minutes and 42 seconds long...? Damn...

"Terminal" as single?. Maybe we will have an international release of the single (Well, International I mean Germany and The Netherlands...) like with "Connected".

It's interesting that the estimated shipping date listed on the auction is after October 2nd. And typically, the promo CDs don't have the cover or any stickers included on the packaging for the regular retail release.

It's going to have a back cover, whatever. From the looks of it, it's probably just a shot of the ocean without ayu. Nothing special.

Did you see that bold-italic-underlined material? That's a Johnny's. Sexy Zone - they're releasing a new single on that same day. And based on historical records that we've been keeping track of, they're pretty much a sure #1 for the week. There's no way Ayu's going to beat a Johnny's group! Ugh... More Johnny's idol domination...why do they (along with other Johnny's idols such as, obviously, ARASHI, SMAP, Kanjani8, Hey!Say!JUMP, Kis-My-Ft2, etc, as well as AKB48 and related) have to dominate the Oricon charts so often, leaving little or no room for other artists??? Ugh...

(And that's not even including Gackt either.)

^All of them sell more than 30k, right, so ayu is not going to get a Top 3.
You must consider this is a recut single, so the sales are going to be lower (and there isn't any promo either).

lol i don't think GACKT's any competition either, his singles get in top 10 but he's nowhere near the top 5 even with all the promo he puts out there. I think the most of the competition is idol groups.

Just wondering, we usually get leaks of pictures and mp3 rip on Friday-Saturday before the release date, and it's still no sign of HACKJACK Remix or booklet pictures... Hmmm...

i'll have to admit, i love the single cover but i do kind of wish it was a new single. it's not that i have a problem with re-cuts because i don't but with the album only being ten songs i'm kind of itching for new material already, plus both Terminal and XOXO were released with the special singles in the showcase before the album released.

oh well, still a pretty picture and i'm sure i'll end up buying it ^^

Colours appeared on the Australian iTunes store smack bam at midnight Japan time on release date. It's now 1.40 in the afternoon here and it still hasn't appeared. I put more iTunes credit on and everything for this single so hopefully it appears soon!

based on the 45sec preview, HACKJACK remix is not really bad, based on my taste though.. too bad "Original Mix" is just the same we get on album =="

we may never get the xoxo remix. Like how are you suppost to rip it when its streamed to your phone with a little plug in thing. Unless you can plug it into your computer and do the same thing with it

I have a feeling her career is going the way that of Seiko is/did. She was still real music and stuff,but her sales well just be horrible.

Tbh, I'm surprised this even placed in the top 20. it's a recut single, and it's not like Ayu's heavily featured on any tracks.

Also on a personal note, this was the one song I really hated off of Colours. :P

Terminal wasnt made to make up for the colours sales. Use your head, if you dont like a song it doesnt mean the world hates the song. Terminal has been doing very well at these trance/music events with Armin van Buuren. He has also got great feedback from his audience about it

Basically I think Terminal is a single mainly done for western fans + fans of the song, hence why the little extra on that single and XOXO is more for her Japanese fan base

Kanariya, which was originally a hidden song, was a limited press re-cut single, with no TV performances or reference to the song in any public event, yet it still attained rank 1 for weekly and weekly, and was in the top 100 of the year. :(

It had a music video and it's incomparable as she was in her peak...I don't think people ever expected Terminal to chart as well as kanariya. Different times~

Honestly , this single shouldn't be released in the 1st place for so many reasons . Yes I like the song but for it to get re-released is just so pointless

I have to say I ordered the single yesterday - just because I ordered Acid Black Cherry's new single and wanted to come over 5000 yen to get an extra of 300 reward points at CDJapan.

Me too, this release would have been great if it had tons of remixes like her older singles, but the way it is I can't believe there's people who are actually surprised it's not in top 10...
