What is it for you? Watching Return Road now randomly, I'm shocked all over again at how messy it is...the ridiculously loud tank that completely silences the first verse, the shot of the drummer playing with absolutely no percussion to be heard in the song at that point, the endless repeating of the workers marching, the lack of Ayu and just how drawn out and randomly edited it. Such a wasted opportunity.

Born To Be... is hands down the worst for me. I was too busy being blinded by the obnoxious bright lights to tell wtf was even going on

I agree on Return Road. I was confused watching it for the first times and thought it would be such a cool and dark video, but it is simply bad edited...

Agree on both, idea of Born to be was good but it should be just a background shot for something else, the 'talking Ayu' shots were too short

It's funny, Ayu's editing in her old PVs was rarely on the beat of the song and I always found it rather amateurish, but honestly her editing over time has just gotten worse and worse - not only is it off the beat of the song but now they're not even coherent. I LONG for the days of videos whose editing bothered me like "WHATEVER" because that's a work of art compared to messes like "Return Road" lol... Ayu's people seem to be obsessed with flashbacks and flash-forwards that don't work.

One example of horrible editing that forever sticks out in my mind is the ending of the Bold & Delivious PV where her mouth does not match the final phrase AT ALL! I cannot believe they let that slide and I don't know how the editor himself was even satisfied with that to send it in!

Pride PV also bad with the editing, theres some skipped frame, very obvious when ayu singing in the raining scene and makeup scene

The beginning of Startin'. Where the two guys are talking. It's so awkward I can't watch it. It makes me cringe. Do they not know how to hold a conversation? Even a fake one? Where they told that only Japanese people were going to see this video and that they could just nonsensically spew syllables out of their mouths? Whenever I watch the video, I have to skip through the beginning until the song starts.

Idk, the beginning of startin was awkwardly fun to me. And it's understandable. The conversation itself doesn't have any relevance, content wise, but I think it's a nice silly and something I've seen in person anyway, just without actors lol.

It's a toss up between Born To Be... and Curtain call for me. They shot Curtain call in slow frame and then sped it up to fit the recording and it was just disastrous.

I completely understand what they were going for with the concept of the PV but the cutaways seemed almost abrupt, like there wasn’t time to develop the scene.

NaNaNa, I like the song, but the video is so messy and I hate how they did the transitions.

Pride and Startin' are slightly awkward videos, also for editing.

it always bothered me how people sre mouthing/talking in the born to be... video, but nobody knows what they are saying or what the point is?

sparkle. i love the song but the bad acting in the pv makes me crrrringe. editing could be better, definitely.

If we are talking only about editing then every single PV from Colours those are just a crime to watch.

FLOWER: I get it, it had to be one take. But so many mistakes where filmed and I am pretty sure, that it was unintentional. The flower crown stuck in her hair, Ayu throwing herself out of shot, the slow motion during the bridge. Just... film it correctly.

Return Road & NaNaNa I agree with those who've already mentioned these, and I dislike the editing for the same reasons. Especially NaNaNa is unwachtable for me.

A lot of people might disagree with me, but I thought Mirrorcle World was one of her worst PV ever. Every single action was so awkward, even the actors and ayu herself. It's almost like she wanted to tell the world how pretty she was rather than telling the concept story. The worst part was when she played around her big 20kg skirt. I know she wanted to do gracefully, the director could just make a slow motion of her, but she looks like a 3 years old girl playing with her skirt (and suddenly she made a pose with some dove flying over, which make no sense at all).

because i think the editing salvaged the awkward acting as much as possible.

From the top of my hand I'd say... Lelio? Everything about it is quite horrible.

I actually love when the crown gets stuck in her hair in FLOWER! I feel like she handled that very gracefully and, to be honest, removing it from her head without any problems would look "too perfect" to me.

Basically, almost all music videos from COLORS are awful.

Why and Mirrorcle World. The first one had a pretty nice idea to it, but the execution made it come off as very cheap and clunky. Mirrorcle World was such a waste of money and probably the most disappointing PV considering the song and my over the top expectations at the time.
