It's beautiful! Listened to it now a few times. Can't wait for the release!

I'm kinda disappointed that they're using an "old" pic - but at least it's not A CLASSICAL where you can't tell that it's hand-drawn :P (I'm still having a hard time believing that.) But overall, I think it's REALLY pretty and suits the theme of the album. I am a pleased taskin ^_^

Now let's hope the songs are just as nice.

Oh goodness. Canon in D sounds so good with Voyage. I'm glad this one has turned out well so far. I'm excited for the rest. Also, I like the cover.

The cover is nice, the artist did a great job.
I am actually surprised how well this sounds. Of course the original is very adapted to the Voyage melody, but it has a very soothing feeling to it. My fear is gone!

For those who complain about the recycled cover: you guys know that she does that because MY STORY Classical had the MY STORY cover as the actual cover, just put through a filter (no, the key was just the slip case, not the actual cover). That's why she used LOVE's cover for A Classical and the Zutto.../Last minute/Walk cover for LOVE CLASSICS. It's always a recent cover redrawn.

MY STORY Classical and MY STORY using the "same" covers makes more sense because they're both related projects (with the exception of A song is born). A Classical had nothing to do with LOVE (even if Missing is on the tracklist) and so is LOVE CLASSICS with Zutto.../Last minute/Walk.

I feel like this version of Voyage is going to be wicked popular for weddings (which is probably what she was going for, lbr). But they've done it justice. I dread/don't know what to expect from HONEY x Hallelujah.

The cover is butt. Hardly looks like Ayu. But I think it's due to that awkward facial expression. Also, her face is too pointy.

Regarding the track, it's lovely. I think it may be the best version of Voyage yet. For some reason, Voyage has always been rather annoying. But this softens it up quite a bit and makes it sound enjoyable.

LOL THEY DID IT AGAIN WITH THE COVER, but i really like this one, it's not just usual pencil drawing, they could have though used an outtake from that photoshoot, one that we didn't see yet instead. But it looks nice. And Voyage sounds lovelly ♥
Also i am not sure if the graphic artist was high on something or they just got lucky but the fonts look nice too. Maybe because typography itself is so small, that's why it doesn't bother me..?lol

I didn't think they could make those Zutto covers look good but this is just beautiful.

Honestly, everytime I listen to one of those classic versions of Voyage it sounds exactly the same to me.

For those who complain the cover, if you can't draw better than this cover, you should not complain. It is not easy to draw a good painting.

^ to answer to that, people are free to dislike and notice mistakes if there are any, even if they cannot draw better. It's opinions and as a person who tends to do realistic portraits i can tell you that sometimes (if not a ot of the times) those who have no clue about drawing, notice things that those who do might have missed. There is really nothing wrong with that. Actual professional artists, they tend to be well rounded and confident enough to take some people's critique the right way, if it's not pure hateful stuff, then i really see no harm in that. Especially if they have established their career already and have a decent pay for they stuff. And saying what you'e said there...Then none of us are qualified to disslike or compain about any of Ayu's songs or pretty much anything anyone does, because i doubt we can do better than that.
In the case of face looking off in this, like Zeke pointed out, i can tell that the picture itself that Aki used to do this from might be a problem. I've had issues like that before drawing people from professional pics. It can be a pain in the ass. It's not a natural day light, nor drawing from RL and the photos can get weird angles not to mention all the editing/retouching that they do these days.

love the song. absolutely LOATH the cover. it looks like a drawing on the back of a randon manga. why can't Avex just invent a new A logo to fit this, like they did with My Story Classical?

My impression of this release (both cover and song) thus far is as follows: pretty, but boring and easily forgettable. It feels weird to say it, but for me the only good part about "Voyage [Pachelbel's Canon]" is the classical piece, it feels like I could cut away all traces of Voyage and the song would be just as interesting - and I don't think that's the point of a mash-up. But then again, it wouldn't surprise me if this track was only included for the sake of drawing in casual fans and thus ended up half-assed, and it may be that the album as a whole will be great.
But for now, I will remain quite pessimistic.

I...kind of like the cover. It's still disappointing that it's not a new photo (I don't understand the appeal of this IMO), but the illustration is good.

Meanwhile, the mashup sounds amazing. AMAZING. Wow I wonder what the others sound like.

IIRC, the slipcover with the gold key design was a first press bonus and when you removed the slipcover the booklet cover was the filtered version of the MY STORY cover. I think the regular press just has the key design on the booklet cover, as there is no slipcase.

Edit: They did something similar for the first press of Love songs. The 'official' cover is printed on the slip case, and then an alternate cover is printed on the cover of the booklet that's inside the jewel case.

as for the song, ayu's classical mixes were never interesting to me, so it does nothing for me.
will give every track a listen and a fair chance though, hopefully i will be pleasantly surprised :)

Ayu has NEVER had a remix/reversion album with a new photo of her on the cover EXCEPT for the ayu-mi-x/RMX WORKS series. I don't know why this stuff surprises or disappoints anyone.

ayu-ro mix used a "poker face" era promo photo (that was in a gazillion magazines and her official website) on the front, and a "WHATEVER" promo photo on the disc/back.

ayu trance used a screencap from a Tu-Ka CM.

ayu-ro mix 2 DID NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL aside from embossing with gold foil. It was seriously JUST the Super Eurobeat logo and ayu's logo and the title in freaking Times New Roman.

ayu trance 2 didn't have her at all, just the CG ayu trance logo floating around or whatever.

MY STORY Classical and A Classical have been covered already.

I'm not saying some of these weren't cheap halfassed moves, I'm just saying maybe some of you guys have your expectations set a teensy bit high.

The cover art was always going to be a rehashed image of Ayu. If you like the art style, then yeah seriously just be happy it's at least pretty, and be happy someone put SOME work into the art (ayu-ro mix 2 STILL pisses me off 14 years later lol).

I'm not surprised by how well this mashup turned out. I mean they took out the original orchestra music, and replaced it with other orchestra music. Not exactly ballsy. I don't even really know if this is a mashup. I mean it's an orchestra version of Voyage with a small background sample of famous orchestra music that kind of loops. It's not a replacement, it's a supplement. I do like it, and I do look forward to this release, but I'm really not surprised. Imagine taking out the guitar and drums in GAME and replacing them with different guitars and drums. It's not that crazy.

The cover is more than gorgeous. It is so beautiful :-)

Does anyone knows what kind of method they used for the art cover? I would also like to do something similar to it. I guess, it's a real art drawing cover instead of using Photoshop this time for 'LOVE CLASSICS' album.
