Guys Ayu has so many songs if she does one with a Taiwanese boyband it's not the end of the world. It might turn out to be a good one...

I like that Ayu are opening her world of music since some years now. No matter if I like or dislike the work. I always found it was a odd that she had so few collaborations. It was as if Avex imprisoned her in a cage.

Don't know what expecting, but I hope it will be good as Why... at least. It's my favorite collab so far.

Hopefully, the song won.t resemble Why in any aspect.

I love her collabs but i wonder if the song will be half Japanese and half Taiwanese or fully in English. I guess will see. :)

Did she confirm it's a collaboration song? It would be weird if they were only in the clip but you never know.
I don't have any pre-made ideas or expectations but I have to say I don't really enjoy any of her collaborations... Hopefully this one is catchy and summerish!

I saw some vids of their clips on youtube.
They actualy look good and sing well, they have a good style, they are like the Taiwanese "tohoshinki/BIG BANG/Super Junior" so I don't think it should be too bad.
Only thing I couldn't connect is with Chinese langauge music (as I'm only into Japanese music). Japanese is the only asian language that clicks with me.

They're probably just in the PV and not featured on the song. Like what's-his-name from DBSK that was in the blossom PV.

I'm so looking forward to see this MV :D It will probably not be one of my favourite songs, but I'm very curious!

But she's done collabs with Naota, JUNO, Tim, and JJ Lin, and the only one that came out decent was BRILLANTE. Sure, it's not the end of the world, but Ayu isn't doing features with well known people who have a lot of talent, just unknowns either trying to break out of their Johnny's group or looking for a quick ride into fame.

I want to believe that a collab would go well, but ayu's collabs are consistent letdowns, not because of Ayu, but because of the other artist. They either can't sing all that well solo (Tim), sound radically bad compared to Ayu (Naota), or try to mimic her singing style (JUNO).

As for the song itself, I'll give this a chance. But I am still so disappointed in her for being a one-trick pony and writing yet another love song. She knows it's old, we know it's old, Japan knows it's old. I don't even consider BRILLANTE to be a collab. The dude is just doing back vocals. JJ Lin only composed the song and appeared in the PV, he's done a decent job with the composition. The Urata collabs which actually ended up on Ayu's cds are imo very good. I think the majority of collabs she has done do sound pretty good. They might not be the best songs in her discography, but do sound good.

If it was the other way around people would be saying she is trying to leech of someone else.

Anyway I despise her collabs, to me they're the personification of Shit! Except maybe the gift that was rather ok and maybe merry go round, the rest is a shame. OMG I love her looks...and the hair...reminds me of her JEWEL performance era...she looks soooooo young and I think her body looks very fit...it's her best figure since 2006-2007 maybe? She gain a lot of weight on 2008 and she got skinnier fast...but not this fit...

They are professional dancers and choreographers. They have done all the choreographies in PV or tours... I can't understand why It could be a problem...

first of all, he is called Naoya.
secondly, he is actually a pretty decent singer...especially compared to Ayu.
moreover, non of her collaborations is from a Johnnys band.

To be fair, if you don't like DAISHI DANCE you won't like this track for sure, cuz he pretty much has his sound that he does and he doesn't deviate from it.

What I find amusing is that on the official news page they're like "DAISHI DANCE, who produced "Haru Haru" by BIGBANG" as opposed to "DAISHI DANCE, who produced "What is forever love"" as though they know WIFL isn't a selling point, but Haru Haru is... lawl

DAISHI DANCE should have given Arcadia to Ayu, i loooove this song. But I guess it's because MUCC added their sound to it and made it more interesting.
Still, i'm excited for this, i hope it's a bittersweet song, like, not a common ballad, something with an angry taste! But well, i'll be fine with whatever she gives us.

My assumption is based off:

FIVE having only 5 tracks, this new album as well.
Collaborations with male vocalists (I have yet to like a single one)
RedOne, DAISHI Dance, TK, all of which were featured on CoLOURS, and whose songs were amongst my least favorite.

I hated the collabs she did on FIVE.
I disliked the songs those producers did for CoLOURS.
I am not too keen on 5 tracks cause generally with a full album I tell myself if I love 4 tracks I'll be happy. With only 5 tracks total, I'd have to thoroughly enjoy 80% of the album to be content.

I would prefer A Crew to direct another PV as opposed to the collaboration. I imagine this PV should look really sleek and pretty with tight choreography. Although I do think Warning was an improvement over previous A Crew PVs and they probably need a few more videos to prove themselves. I assume they're all new to this?

and srsly - Merry-Go-Round was the best thing that could happen to COLOURS, and ANother Song is the second best track on FIVE.

Idk why, but personally, I feel that whoever she's collaborating with, tends to kind of...cheapen the song. I've felt that way about every single cover she has done up to this point. Whoever wants to can dance in the background and be on covers and in PVs, but ayu does perfectly well singing on her own. Merry-go-round I really like...but I NEVER listen to Why... and Another Song. I may have listened to them in full only one time.

A Crew include Ayumi too ! If you look at the making of WARNING you can see that's her who decided of everything about it etc... The clips of Colours were pretty bad but it's mostly due to bad realisation yet WARNING was well made even if the "storyboard" is not really interesting !

According to Ayu the producer of this MV is "Ninomiya "NINO" Daisuke" ! He made some PV for Namie Amuro (ALIVE, Big Boys Cry & Grotesque) and other for EXILE, SMAP, JASMINE, FEMM etc... It's the first time Ayumi works with him ^^ Her dancers will only be responsible of the choreo and after all they are professional dancer so I don't see the problem ;)

Yes, they are. Moreover, they have been working so hard for achieve it and are really good singers, not that bad like some koreans. Sam and Matty have good voice. I didn't know much about the group, but thanks to Ayu I'm knowing them now :rolleyes

I started to like ANother Song thanks to the lyrics. The feelings that Ayu put in that song were really beautiful... I suppose the song is for Nagase due to the capital letters, and I like more the performance on Power Of Music than the oficial audio, but it's a good song.

I love Why cause I love Juno's voice. I already knew him for being Junsu's (TVXQ/JYJ) brother and her voice is so good. I think Ayu and Juno made a good duet, her voices blend well and they put a lot of emotions especially in the part of the "Why ooh" xDD
