Happy to hear. :) I'm sure she's going to do classic songs--again--but there's a part of me that really wants her to go out there and sing songs no one would expect. Like, not even us. How fun would it be if just BAM - Still alone. And then BAM - Ever Free. BAM - Curtain call. But instead of the Curtain Call we have on the CD, it will be this rock version and instead of a curtain falling, she'll be on a rising stage that goes higher and higher as she sings as people stare at her in stricken awe. Oh. And of course she'll have to change the lyrics to fit the rock version.

I am in heaven right now looking at that list! Soooo many people performing that we don't usually get all on the same show anymore: Ayumi, GACKT, L'arc en Ciel, Morning Musume, Koda Kumi, SMAP, ARASHI, etc etc. Did I fall asleep and wake up back in 2003?!?! All that's missing is Namie and Utada and it would be perfect.

I gotta say as happy as I am Ayu will be on this, I must admit I got a little teary eyed seeing Gackt's name on the list. He hasn't been on anything in FOREVER.

While I'm not sure, both Fuji-tv and NTV have done super long music specials like this and had a similar number of artists and the max number of performances is usually 2 per artist. But, those specials all tend to have a lot of VTRs, whereas if this is going to be like Music Station Super Live, it should just be one artist after another. In that case maybe we can hope for 3 songs?

I'm guessing 2 songs for each artist, with maybe the more important ones with 3 songs.

he's got a new single coming out in october so i assume it's gonna be a bit of early promotion. And i wanna see him and Ayu do some interaction or something xD those two are always fun to watch. Last time they both were on the same show was like in 2009 or 2010.

oh and I second Voyage or Trauma. I miss voyage a lot and Trauma is just fun. If she forgot the lyrics it would't be the first time anyway xD

It doesn't air until the 23rd. They are just announcing the aritsts in 4 waves. So far they have done 3 of them. The 3rd announcement was Rebecca and X-Japan. I'm expecting B'z or something to be in the last announcement.

Who is Rebecca? Is she a jpop singer? Or...a band?

Rebecca is a very famous band from the 80s. They haven't performed together for a loooong time, so its kinda big news right now in Japan. Ayumi covered a few of their songs when she was younger.

She will perform SEASONS, Step by step and M/Movin' on without you so I wouldnt expect anything else. There's a very slight possibility for Summer Diary but forget about anything else post-2001

That's probably exactly what she will perform actually. :) Usually on these kinds of shows, the artists do one of their signature hits and one of their new songs. So I'm thinking something like Seasons + Step by Step. And if she can do 3, then I wouldn't be surprised at all if she does movin' on without you. This is for Music Station's 30th anniversary and someones gotta represent Utada. lol

I also would not be surprised if Ayu will get a performance with Tetsuya Komuro as well. He is there as a guest to celebrate Globe's anniversary. So I think chances are pretty high that we are going to get Departures.
