Whaaat is going on here? Lol
She looks really good here! The red lips are great and her boobs |
|
^ oh my god, that's ridiculous lol
|
is fox tail trend is back btw? I think I saw it at H&M recently
|
So happy for another tv appeariance :)
|
Omg!!! Hahahahaha! So funny!! I cracked up a lot when Ayu had to guess stuff in the mystery box and she touched the head of a guy from Trendy Angle hahahaha :laugh :laugh
The last time I saw her rolling on the floor laughing a lot was in Ayu Ready :laugh |
Why does she bother to make tv appearances when she hasn't got a single or album to promote? Just wait for the next album to be promoted with a "live chat on line".
|
Why not? Also, we could say it's to promoto the tour (not 100% sure tho since I don't know what they talked about).
|
I'm glad to see her on TV again, even if it's not to perform a song. She seems very happy and comfortable, and it could be good for the Japanese public to realize that her "diva" persona is over. She's a nice person.
By the way, I love her pink shirt! :yes |
Nice to see her having fun!!
|
From the preview, this looks a hundred times better than the other show. She looks and acts far more comfortable!

I dont really love her look here as I prefer her cool casual on in her Ig pics better :love like that loose jeans not really a fan |
I was not expecting another TV appearance. It's nice to see Ayu interact with other people besides her dancers for a change.:yes
|
She looks incredible!
|
It's also nice to see her in normal cloth and not some silly dress. I never for once liked her diva persona and the moment she adapted it the public began to dislike her. She really should focus on being a normal person again.

Looking forward to watch it, it looks funny to see her afraid in the "mysterious box" :)

These talking shows aren't usually the ones for people to promote their music, it's more about showing how the artists are "approachable" and to make their persona more likable.
Nice seeing Ayu as a "tarento" for a while, it does change a little bit her image of being distant, what we usually have when she goes to Music Station, to something bright and cheerful. U Go Team Ayu. |
I don't like that pink shirts. It's like she borrowed someone shirt twice her size at the last moment before the show begin.
|
i actually like that "i just threw whatever the f was laying around" idea for the purpose to make her a bit more relatable. It's so casual it's almost odd to see her in this ON A PUBLIC APPEARANCE. She's always so well put together and thought out that it can come off as a bit of a fake thing. I may not be a fan of that duo on her but I think the casual approach works much better for talk shows like that. She blends in with the rest on the stage, which is good.
|
Japan has some strange shows haha. ayu looks so lovely though (as always!) and she does look really happy in these photos which is great to see.
...i'm secretly hoping we get another album after all this publicity hehe. |
About the album, I wonder if we'll even get one this year.
She said that she's recording songs before (e.g. in the post about her divorce where she said that she'd focus on the rehearsals for TA tour & recording songs) so we might get an album later this year or at least a single/mini album and a full album next year. Or maybe we'll just get nothing... It'd be very unlikely but who knows. |
Quote:
It is so rare and wow actually to see her doing those funny things and blending well with them lol, so yeah she looked more approachable and friendly here not that Diva who married and divorced a foreigner and going back and forth to LA befriending a rich real estate agent lol :P |
All those talkshows are part of the long term strategy they chose for her 20th anniversary. Instead of doing all promotion next year, they remind general public about her little by little. That she still exists.
Not a big fan of her look. Neither this oversize shirt nor this denim. |
|
:roflmao :roflmao :roflmao
This is the funny side Ayu, I loved her rolling on the floor laughing haha |
Ya'll are complaining about her being a diva while I absolutely adored that tho idk why ya'll are bringing it up like do u expect to be full on hime gyaru for a comedic talk show,
|
OMG! That's so funny hahahha Reminds me of her Hey!x3 interviews <3
|
ayu appears on Nippon TV show "Konyakurabetemimashita" broadcasting from 9pm tonight!
Don't miss it! |
can watch it online?
|
|
^
thank you!! |
Watching it <3 So interesting to see her funny and casual side on TV again!
Edit: Suddenly the show changed to other guests (Nishikido Ryo is one of them). I'm so confused lol Edit 2: #今夜くらべてみました is trending in Twitter right now! |

Might I add, I`m a HUGE fan of her hair color right now, and every time she cuts it to this length it`s like a flashback to her early days of her music career around the early thousands (2000 era). It`s smart, and probably intentional. |
I have a feeling we'll see her more on tv on the coming months. and yeah, Ayu is trending on apple music japan. right. now.
|
Any link to watch?
|
I rather have these talk shows any day to another seasons performance.
|
The full show is 13GB :woohoo:

Any stream available? Does she appeared in the whole time show or few sessions only like previous show?
|
Im quite surprised to see this article on Arama, serioysly she brought 25 staffs with her???
http://aramajapan.com/news/netizenco...earance/77942/ And the comments and Girls Channel >.> Other than that, I myself agree that the hair didnt do any favor for Ayu, go back to long wavy hair Ayu, you looked better without that bob style hair. |
I have found a streaming version of the full show (Ayu's part is only 11 minutes long)

Good point. |
The thing is though...if she were a man, no one would care. GACKT is also a very indulgent person. Perhaps he's not as transparent as she's been recently, but he's certainly discussed aspects of his luxurious life.
Everyone knows Ayu's rich af, I guess they just don't want to see it? But like...her lifestyle book sold out so... tbh I don't know what Japan wants from her. Be real! Ugh so fake. Be fake! Ugh trying too hard. Be likeable! Ugh cringeworthy. Dress down! Ugh ugly. Dress up! Ugh fat. Less makeup! Ugh hag. More makeup! Ugh cake face. Like literally. Every damn time. |

+168, -2] “If you think about it, her staff probably doesn’t want to criticize her at the risk of getting fired. Instead, it’s better to be a ‘yes man’ and keep pampering her for as long as possible.”
I have to say, I don't think ayu is surrounded by the right people. I don't think they have her best interest in mind but their paycheck. |
^Definitely. I just left that sort of comment at Yahoo! news few minutes ago to someone who told her to act and dress like 40. Like, when she did that people will tell her old "baba" and when she did the other way, they will tell the same thing. People will always say something so what matters is just do what we love to do. lol

I just watched it here (1st part) and here (2nd part)
the show was fun, but I also liked the second part with 3 men. tbh I'm kind of full of watching her bags, sunglasses or shoes collection... she says she likes to look at them. I don't know. she sometimes seems to be just "out" of everything. and I can imagine her sitting all alone at her shoes room and staring at these shoes for long time. or speaking with her dogs. and it's kind of sad that she does nothing by herself. there's so many chances for people to parasitize on her. |
No matter how many times Ayu appears on TV and tries to improve her image, haters ill always bash her. They will always find something to criticise her for. Just like a lot of stans would blindly defend her, haters will keep blindly hating her.

I am not a fan of variety shows so I'll be skipping this one as well. |
article says that rating for this show was 13,2%
http://www.hochi.co.jp/entertainment...HT1T50079.html is it high? or low? |
Good !!

This two picture were taken on the day of the TV shooting and, yes, it's a big crew but I don't think she brought them to the TV studio. It seems like this is at her house. So maybe this article is just trying to make some gossip about her being a diva and etc...
http://i.imgur.com/Lkz8UsY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VLhiND5.jpg It is at her house: Spoiler:
She will never please everyone... There is a lot of hate comments but there's also a lot of love comments. Of course Arama will only show the worst one but her Instagram posts are full of love. So f**k the haters and let the women live her life. |

haha thank you haters for rooting for Ayu in front of your tv, finally they got something to do online, the fact that they haters took time to watch Ayu haha
wow so many managers??? 7? and her house is 5 stories? wooow rich af |

You can watch it here (while its still on): here |
dailymotion is blocked here and I'm too lazy to use something for it

And I'm just glad she's doing any kind of tv appearance. It's good to keep her out there in the public to remind everyone, yeah, she's still around. (believe it or not there are people in the general public that don't know she's released music since '03 or so lol). Just staying out there in the public eye ends up being promotion for any future release. |
Watching it right now and in fact the main topic is her richness and fancy house but she reacts to it very naturally. It's not like she's being cocky and showing off her richness and I think that's very nice of her

"She would definitely be considered a legend if she married [Tomoya] Nagase and retired."
This comment pisses me off on SO MANY LEVELS. I'd rather be a washed up flop hanging on to my past glory than be considered a legend because I got married and retired. Like.... uuuuggggh. |

You guys give the haters too much power.:laugh
Anyone in the public eye will always receive negative comments no matter what. It won't ever stop for Ayu as long as she is active. Most of the negative comments are just ridiculous anyway. Nothing worth getting upset over. |

- They showed a video of her training with Timmy and a instructor. And they asked if it was her living room and she said it was not and that it was some king of training room. And it was a huuuuge room so the hosts were shocked about that. - They did counted that she took 25 crew members including the 7 managers and stuff like that. - There was a section about her trends similar to "007": leopard print, zebra print, foxtail, decoration, ganguro and stuff like that. - At some point they showed some impressive costumes she wore at her concerts like the M 50meters dress and the big red dress from ~PSC~. - They showed a lot of pictures from her book about her collections: Channel bags, sunglasses, shoes and decora itens. - They also showed some Instagram pictures like this one above and they asked her in which National Park she took this picture and she said "hmm it's in my garden" and the host freaked out. lol Spoiler:
- They also showed some pictures and videos of her dogs. - She talked about her Bali trip with the dancers and crew and they showed a video of a surprise she did to one of the members (including a lot of rose petals and a private firework show). That was what I understood. :) |
The part about ganguro was that with the rise of Ayu came the fall of ganguro, because Ayu made fairer skin the "in" thing for gyaru (and in general I guess). The story behind appears' cover is that Ayu had always had a complex about her fair skin, and when she saw that they had darker foundation she wanted to be covered in it.
Ayu only verified the amount of staff, the hosts were the ones who brought it up. |

Still confused bout her house lol but according from Arama which is the great hater of Ayu but still writes bout her lol, she moved to a high class residential area in Tokyo now and the pics they showed are from Life Style book which is in her 5 stories house. lol. Maybe someone can explain this. http://aramajapan.com/news/tvmovie/v...al-life/78010/ If it is true bout the new house then Ayu moved to a new place is not because she cant afford but because she just want to do so :P |

(I'm too familiar with the matter on the AKB48-Group materials broadcasted on NTV and being uploaded to Dailymotion, e.g. AKBINGO/NOGIBINGO/KEYAKIBINGO - they're also broadcasted on NTV - not to mention The Music Day last weekend...) |

Ayu bring with her 7 managers, record-something - 5, stylists - 4, hair and makeup staff - 4, trainers - 2, costume designer - 1, まつエク (?) - 1, esthetician - 1 I'm glad ayu live with her dogs. If I'm not mistaken, dogs lived with her mom before http://i.imgur.com/75vDxIvm.jpg |

http://i.imgur.com/75vDxIv.jpg I loved seeing this too <3 So cute! "Kure" (the white one) is CREA, right?! |
Honestly, the hair and makeup were terrible. I really don't understand her inability to highlight her beauty.
The haircut is unflattering. With the strong lipstick, it makes her chin look nonexistent. At this age, the heavy eyeliner and mascara are working against her. |
Quote:
In fact, Ive just watched the show, theres nothing new for us fans because all those pics are from Life Style book, we had seen those already, Ayu didnt show us her new house except those pics from her Insta. So for hater like Arama and Girls Chanel saying her showing off her lavish live, really, you know nothing you are not a fan and just a bunch of haters who love bashing Ayu. Yep, I feel so bad because Ayu didnt show her beauty here, the hairstyle is so unflaterring and the shirt my gosh. So sad of how she changed her image drastically from Made In Japan to this hairstyle :headache Other than that, I love the hosts, lol so funny especially the woman in white outfit, they are nice to Ayu and keep calling her Ayu-sama. Better environment than Shabekuri for sure. |
Yeah it's strange before she was always on point in term of styling (hair/make up & clothes) but since some years especially on TV it's not the case she is way more beautiful with lighter make up and looks younger with longer hair
|
I think in the context of the video she looks a lot better than some of the unfortunate screenshots that people capture.
That said, I think there are a few things going on. I think she's very self-conscious on TV -- both in terms of appearance and behavior, and that comes across. Even on these shows, you can see the moments when she's really being Ayu and having fun (like she would on HEYx3 in days past), and days when she's trying to be appropriate/enjoying herself while still looking "good." You can tell when she's very aware of the camera being on her, and when she's letting loose. So I think she styles herself in ways that she thinks will look better on camera, in harsh studio lighting, etc. and make her look young and vibrant...and sometimes it works better than others. With the MSta specials, I always feel like she looks like she has gotten some kind of filler just before going live these days, and it actually does the opposite and makes her look puffy instead. |
tbh she looked older than 38 yrs old woman for me. unfortunately short haircut doesn't suit her now when she's not skinny anymore. and this terrible shirt! and these jeans. and even shoes that made strange sounds when she fall after seeing Tsu-chan. the shirt was really terrible though, it made look her even bigger. that woman Nora, the same age with ayu, looked much more elegant. I didn't even suspect her being a comedian when I saw preview photos.
her skin looked perfect though, and I liked her new hair color. |
I loved the whole outfit, hair and make up lol <3

Ayumi looks so amazing in this to me and I love it when she dresses like this. I thought she looked more unfortunate on the other show but she looks precious here.
|
Sad that the show didn't even mention her 25th anniversary or anything about her music. :/
|
^ You mean 20th? lol And they did mentioned her tour and even showed some iconic moments of her... Also one of the guests sang a part of "vogue" so they did found a way to talk about her music.
|
There was a banner on the lower side of the screen for like half a minute promoting for the Tour. But I also didn't hear anything about the tour during the conversations
|

Omg that woman yes! Somehow she looked younger than Ayu, really Ayu that bob haircut :o |
oh yes Ayu and Sasshi on a same show! My AYU48 feels
|
For my surprise my japanese friend texted me today telling that she just watched Ayu on this show. She really liked it, saying it was a very good show and how Ayu talked bout her life style and her house, cool. Haha also she said Ayu looked really really beautiful here :P
She said everyone considered her a living legend. Annndd she didnt event know bout those Girls Chanel hahah So im happy to know that manay japanese like to see Ayu on this show after so long. Well not everyone hates her haha so the high rating makes sense then, everyone wanted to wath Ayu again especially the general public after so long they didnt see her on TV |
We give too much credit to these "girls" ! They do not represent anything, it's just a forum after all ... The public in general does not waste time thinking about how Ayu is in every way possible before sleeping ! At best, they will be happy to see her at worst they will be indifferent lol
|
Agree with everyone else about her outfit and overall look. I think she's trying for down to earth but its off somehow. Its amazing that with that much staff she ended up looking like she stole her body guard's shirt and wore it.
Personally as a fan, I find this sort of show cool because I know she's rich as hell, but I wonder for the Japanese general public that sees her as a Diva, won't this just worsen her reputation? |
^
Honestly, after watching the show, Ayu didnt look cocky or showing off at all, and the conversation and discussion went in a friendly and fun environment for me, so I guess thats just ok nothing "diva-ish", i bet the japanese generally aware enough bout celebs having so much Channel and glasses and stuffs, like hello you guys even love to see how many Taylor Swift's mansions are haha |
The ratings for her latest TV apearences were good.
The hosts showed respect towards her and her legacy. She gained followers on social media after the show. She is the 50th most downloaded artist from this year so far and her latest release was over a year ago. And that happened almost 20 years into her career. And somehow people around here still obsessed with the idea of her being some kind of hated parea that disgust the japanese public. Things work out well for her and still people try so hard to prove she is some kind of irrelevant joke. I don't get it. What do you guys want? An open letter from the emperor declaring Ayumi to not being hated? |
^
Agreed. |
