Has Ko left the troupe? I can't see him in that ^ pic and she hasn't mentioned him at all lately. Or perhaps he'll come back for the next tour.

She announced that only Subaru, Zin and Kazuma were returning - or "passed the auditions".

I was shocked Ko was gone. I was never a fan of his dancing, but I got to dance with him and share a hug in Yamaguchi, so that was pretty cool.

Looks like KO was the one that did not pass auditions then. She said in a TA blog and a social media post I think that she had to say goodbye to someone that tried really hard.

holy shit, the old members had to go through auditions as well? I don't understand how the dance troupe works but I thought auditions are just to select new members.

I'm not necessarily a fan of Ko's (or any of her dancers), but he'd been in the troupe so long that I'm kinda sad he left.

That's kind of weird to me that he didn't pass the audition. Hasn't he been in the last few tours? I doubt they're going to do something so different they haven't done before for him to suddenly fail, unless it's been a long time coming? I don't know anything about how these dance auditions work lol I just assumed they were contracted or something. Either way I'm really looking forward to a-nation!

Really shocked to see KO not pass auditions. I figured that once you were in the Troupe you stayed there forever......(unless you're Maro).........

KO seemed pretty popular in the Troupe as well. Is it possible that some of the drama over the smoking is from his fans?

I've been into kpop too long lmao I'm too suspicious of what lengths akgae fans (people who like only one person in a group, hate others for "stealing their limelight") can go to for their fave.....

Back on topic, it's kind of shocking that Ayu would put her Troupe through an audition unless it was for a good reason. We'll never know what happened behind closed doors.

The way I see this is that for whatever reason they might’ve been unhappy with certain people and this was an easier way to fire them (rather then just do it, let them appear they failed).

I didn't like Ko at all so...bye, sis

thank you for clarifying that it's an extremely common process. I was wondering, but didn't cry nor lose my mind over this.

^It is. I don't know how often Ayu does that, but for a dance focused artist to frequently run auditions, or for a dance company to audition people everytime theg will reharshal a new show is pretty standart. Even cuz dancers age fast.

I personally never had this special connection with any of her dancers. It's more entertaining watching new faces from time to time.

I was sad when Shuya left and that is about it. I don't think I even know all the names of the dancers. I think the reason that some members were kept is because they do the choreography as well as dance.

Dancers are a big deal for many Japanese, they have their own fans. I remember when they were selling illegal concert photos outside Yoyogi, there was a huge photo stand dedicated just to Ayu's dancers.

Just the other day I said that "I'm not that attached to any Ayu dancers anymore" and then watched her 15th Anniversary concert and saw Go-mi in the audience, smiling and I had to stop. After 1min17sec I remembered how much the old gang meant to me, back in the day... and her singing A Song for XX didn't help xD

Is ZIN still around..? I saw him in her first Just20 concert but now with all of these changes..?

Anyway... In these photos, she looks very focused and I hope this a-nation will be awesome, although haven't watched her full set on a-nation since umm... when did crossroad come out again? xD

^I would recomend you on checking last year's A-nation. It's one of the best :P

I'm fine with the dancers leaving. They have their own platform before or after being part of Ayu's Team. It's natural that they will pursue other things on their career.

I love that she recreated the a-nation picture lol I recognized instantly!

And I think she's wearing a knee protection like the one she used to wear during the talkin' 2 myself performances because she would drop on the floor on her knees so it won't hurt, you know what I'm saying? I don't think is related to her knee injury.

本当にありがとうございました。

沢山の出会いや別れから多くの事を学ばせて頂いた、凄まじい夏でした。そしてやはり何より本番のステージで 言葉にできない程の想いや気持ちを皆様から頂きました！

But seriously, the performance is really good. She looks like a sugar mommy in between all those young dancers. Lol, definetely getting Britney/Madonna vibes.

^ Agreed! I didn't like those shoes with the dress either, but I really liked everything else. I thought W was really cool, and I wonder if she'll do a similar performance of it at the TROUBLE tour.

I also think that shoes doesn't match with blue dress. But if to remember ugg boots with short kimono... :shakehead this outfit doesn't look that bad )

Yeah, the shoes were kinda weird but I guess it was function over form, lol. Or maybe something happened to the original shoes 'cause the colors are even off.

When I saw the black shoes I thought she would remove the blue dress at some point and reveal a new outfit that would match with the shoes, but no lol

Ayu's costumes for him are pretty bad, yeah.

It's possible he may have found another group to manage him? He and Miccie were pretty much the only people on her staff that were on her mom's "agency".

I doubt Ayu would ever part with Timmy. Those two have been inseparable since 2011/2012. I think it just means he has a new manager. Perhaps he will have side work outside of Ayu.

I think they probably were introduced to one another via mutuals in like 2010~2011. Prior to that time he was still working on NHK things like imagine-nation and had a part in a taiga drama but then after he started working with Ayu, that stuff all stopped.

It whould be so sad if Timmy whould leave the troupe, he is such a sweetheart ._.

Interesting. It would seem odd for him to leave the talent agency run by Ayu's mom to another one, but still continue to work with Ayu. I guess we will find out once we get tour rehearsal information.

Maybe he just switched agencies. If he left the team, I think Ayu would make a post on TA (even tho she haven't said anything openly about KO leaving the troupe).

He said on Twitter that he hasn’t quit ayu’s team.

So it’s just a switch of agency

KO is probably coming back too, just got skipped over for a-nation due to performance or whatever.

Ayu posted on TA that she will hand over her Twitter account to her Team because of the negative, hurtful comments. She will continue with her IG as before though (maybe because there she can disable the comments)

This is so frustrating - not just because it's Ayu. Social media seems to be all about bashing other people. People tear you to pieces like wild animals just to make themselves feel great. Pathetic lot! Constructive criticism is one thing and totally fine if it's done in a nice way, but verbally abusing someone is just so low.

People need to find better things to do than lash out on celebrities online. Seriously.

And about handing Twitter to her staff- it's sad she has to do that because of the comments. Maybe one day she'll go back to updating it personally.

In other words ayu’s getting bullied on social media. heartbreaking to say the least. Why do people do it, why do people feel the need to attack others like that. I just don’t understand. :headache

I have been using the translate feature to see what some fans have been saying more for the past week or so. I did this on replies to ayu's tweets and also Pei's (the dancer with the controversy).

Before and after a-nation, fans just had so much negativity, like more than just normal criticism, and I just couldn't imagine tweeting at my favorite artists or their staff that way. I think it's fine to share critique, but for some people it's a lot more than that.

Anyway, I thought she already wasn't doing much on twitter or reading anything.

I do wish for ayu to be able to read constructive critique from her fans, but with the kind of messages she gets, I understand her not wanting to see them. It's unfortunate though.

Edit: It looks like she deleted the last tweet with the dress as I can't see it anymore. But I remember reading through those comments. I wonder if that's what frustrated her?

Ugh. Oh, Ayu :( people are so awful when it there's no consequences to things they say or do.

I'm not even sure what there is to complain about in that picture.

I think these were sent to her by Jimmy Choo though and not something she necessarily got herself? She gets these gifts from time to time.

About the social media thing...
Maybe people think Ayu has got to handle the negativity or assume she is used to it because she is a celebrity. Though, i find it sad to straight up bully anyone on the internet. Famous or not. It affects Ayu's self-assurance as well, as it would to anyone who has to deal with such meanness all the time. From how I see it; I see many people being upset about something in their lives, and lash out to someone from who they think she has it all. Sad but... what other logic is there?

Maybe because the products are so ugly the only way to sell them is with a celebrity endorsement? lol

I think for Ayu her main concern is that it's also affected "other people" and she doesn't want to have them get brought down as well. People are gonna have their outlets regardless though but I guess with her "leaving Twitter" again, it won't be focused on her account... hopefully. She specifically said in the English entry at least that the comments on Twitter were so negative and hurtful towards others.

I don't see it on her Twitter, it's only on her Instagram. I am aware why Ayu left Twitter herself (now the staff is taking over her Twitter account), especially when Instagram has the 'disable comment' advantage given the excess negative comments we're used to on Twitter towards Ayu. Still, it's a little bit disappointing for Ayu to go quiet on Twitter because of the haters, but we just have to deal with it.

When haters spoiled the party (true fans wanna interact with ayu) and killed all the funs (true fans who following ayu), and at the same time they spoiled their own party (bashing ayu) and killed all the funs (fun from bashing ayu).
