Kuu wrote a personal message about the new tour for all her FCs.

Quote:

I am very fired up for the "KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2019 re(LIVE)"!

Until now, my goal was to challenge myself every year and to pursue "entertainment" that changes the history of live concerts.
With that in mind, around the time that I finished my last "DNA TOUR", my longing to go back to the roots of Koda Kumi before my 20th anniversary grew stronger.

When I thought about how I could actualize this in my concerts, I realized I should reproduce my concerts from the past and upgrade the quality.
Also in recent years, I've wanted to challenge myself in doing a "long stay type show style" like in Las Vegas, so I decided to do “2 different performances in 1 day”.

Upon finishing my re(LIVE) TOUR, December will mark the 20th anniversary since my debut.
I want to make this tour a success and encourage my 20th anniversary year!!
It is bound to be a very exciting concert, so look forward to it!!!!

I will keep bringing the greatest entertainment so stay tuned!

I appreciate your continuous support and I, Koda Kumi, will be in your care forever more!

I am excited to see you all!

Koda Kumi

She also had a meeting about the goods on May 24.

Yeah, was happy to see they finally made it available on Spotify internationally.
But it's always just the first disc on all streaming and download sites, also the Japanese.
Disc 2 and 3 are probably supposed to be physical only.
That's also why it's only called Driving Hit's 9 there and only the physical edition is a special edition. :P

Entered for the JAPONESQUE show in Fukuoka on Oct 2nd! Crossing all my fingers and toes...

I mean...it’s not like it’s a long tour; you don’t have a ton of options lmao

jiarongisme 27th May 2019 04:16 PM

LOL Fair enough, though I might just change my ballot to the Osaka dates.

KarenPang 27th May 2019 04:25 PM

For some reason I think the Fukuoka dates for re(LIVE) might be the easiest to get as compared to the other prefectures

Except if you live in Fukuoka , you have to take a domestic flight within Japan if you live in Tokyo so you have to make the extra effort to do so

Kanagawa probably might be the hardest to get as from Tokyo , you just need to take a train to Yokohama Station which's about under an hour or so give or take

chocopockymaster 27th May 2019 08:58 PM

Yeah I’m hoping the fact that we went for a midweek Fukuoka show will give us the best chance. (It’s also the only show while we’re in Japan, so there’s that lol)

Also, Kawasaki is only like 9-12 minutes by train from Shinagawa lol, it may as well be in Tokyo proper

jiarongisme 28th May 2019 02:03 AM

Welp, just cancelled my Kanagawa ballot for the first weekend in Osaka. Hope I do win tickets for at least one of the days. Haven't been to Osaka as well!

KarenPang 28th May 2019 04:19 AM

re(LIVE) dates for Kanagawa are all on the weekends except for 16th Sept which's a Mon but a public holiday in Japan

So yeah tickets for Kanagawa no doubt I feel will be the hardest to get hold of

For re(LIVE) concert dates that will take place on weekdays , it might be a bit easier to get tickets as compared to weekends but you never know how high the demand is for the 1st round of fanclub ticket balloting

Would've been awesome if she did self-cover / re-imagined versions of Black Cherry & JAPONESQUE albums potentially with the tracks that didn't make the cut before. I also hope that she will perform Say Her Name & Love Technique.

Now that the tickets lottery is opened to the Global FC does that mean that Japanese FC Members already got their lottery results and these are the tickets leftovers or everyone will get the results together mid-June?

KarenPang 28th May 2019 05:14 AM

Fanclub ticket balloting for re(LIVE) was only opened yesterday

According to https://rhythmzone.net/koda/news/detail.php?id=1072723 , fanclub balloting results will be announced on 11th June ; 3pm Japan time

11th - 15th June is the payment period fanclub members have to abide to

Fanclub ticket balloting began yesterday on 27th May til 3rd June

Those who're not in the fanclub had to join by 21st May in order to enter the ticket balloting

Oh, this time it's not mine, it's the official translation from her global FC.
They've updated it at the same time, probably cause the message is categorized as news and not as a blog entry. :)

I've seen a Japanese fan asking for a performance of Say Her Name on Instagram as well. As she's reading the comments, maybe we're lucky? Would love it as well.
There were also a TON of fans asking for another Aishou performance - because of the sheer amount of people asking I'd be surprised if she's not going to perform it.

thinkingoutloud89 28th May 2019 01:45 PM

I applied for the 12th in Osaka with two double tickets. What are the special goods they talk about? is it the special-picture-ticket?

According to what they've written on the lottery site, that special goods doesn't mean picture ticket. They also didn't mention only those who purchase double ticket could get picture ticket.

Quote:

*Tickets are prepared as "picture ticket".
*Limited bonus item will be delivered at the venue on the performance day.

Kuu posted another video from recording.
This time with sound!
But only her voice, no music.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByAetojgN7k/

https://twitter.com/KODAKUMINET/stat...63055960547328

From those lyrics alone it sounds like a song like Cupcake or HOT HOT.
She also posted a video on her Insta stories how she is singing "K's" for the chorus of the song. Probably background vocals. :laugh

In the post she says that this is one of the songs she wants to make a MV for.

hud 29th May 2019 04:01 PM

were Color The Cover and Beach Mix always available on Spotify? I don't remember. if not, they're there now.

Gustavopc 29th May 2019 08:48 PM

It's been a time. When her discography was uploaded they were not included, but they were a couple of months ago, praise the Lord. Now I just need 1000 no kotoba to be uploaded :(

thinkingoutloud89 29th May 2019 09:03 PM

^as you mentioned it - why isn't grow into one complete and why is feel my mind missing?

Yeah, I always wondered why 1000 Words isn't there. I know the FFX2 soundtrack used to be on iTunes but then that was taken down so I guess they also removed any songs from it?

Gustavopc 30th May 2019 04:08 AM

I honestly have no clues why :( It's even stranger to me cause real Emotion is there, so it doesn't look like a copyright issue with Square Enix to me...

kaled kalil 31st May 2019 01:17 AM

Has Shake Hip gone viral in some way? I'm looking at her youtube views and it's so weird that the video is about to hit 1kk views....

Even some songs that I don't think were that popular are with very high number views.

SHAKE IT 3.60kk
JUICY 2.3kk
Promise 1.4kk and so on.

orbitalaspect 31st May 2019 08:05 AM

So, does it seem likely we will get KK17 this year? Or are we looking at getting a new album in 2020?

I sure wish she'd go back to releasing singles again too.

Quite a lot of videos coming with about 1 million views (like WIND, Ai wo tomenaide, Yume no Uta, Lick me, Dreaming Now!, Physical thing, Cherry Girl, BUT...) after that.

For her newer songs:
LIT (full version) 1.2 million
HUSH (full version) 725.432
PARTY (short version) 737.788
Haircut (short version) 514.215

The DNA Tour spot/CM is at 326.259 views, which is pretty good for a tour, too. For comparison - the TRICK Tour spot from 2009 is around 600k views, the WOML Tour spot from 2015 at around 180k, for The Artist at 90k, BSC Tour from 2016 at around 100k and so on.

avex is uploading full versions of older videos on youtube premium now, so the short version tactic probably won't change in the future.

Interesting to note, that avex created its official youtube account only in 2008 and Kuu got her official youtube account only in 2010 - ayu e.g. was faster with 2005.

A new month has started and a new video is up on playroom and the global FC.
Kuu is sharing some more info about the re(live) Tour there!
The hall in Kawasaki is the very first hall Kuu played in.
Rehearsals are starting July 7 and are going to take about 2 months, set and other things are finished already - it's a new challenge for her and she thinks that's necessary for her to grow further.

thinkingoutloud89 1st June 2019 12:12 PM

I love her mindset.

jiarongisme 1st June 2019 03:36 PM

Whenever a new tour comes along, she always sets out to better herself and tries to outdo the previous tour. I really love that about her, which is why her lives are always so enjoyable. They may be quite derivative at times, but at least they're new and she's willing to try them out. Queen of live!

Corvina 2nd June 2019 01:27 PM

Kuu shared in her stories yesterday, that she is going to be featured in the TV programme はじめて東京に行ってみたら for 06/04.

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...924/ChKIry.png

Or better it's about a big 29 year old fan of her and her 5 person family, who'd love to meet her. They're the first time in Tokyo and searching for other big Kuu fans through social media for it. And maybe there's a miracle going to happen?
Here's the official site of the show with info about the episode:

Kuu is recording live music today, strings!
And she didn't mute the video, so you can hear the melody!
Sounds not like a typical ballad, but more like a happy midtempo tune.

The new song is very Someday-ish. So far so good.

I wonder if it's a new song or perhaps she's doing string versions of her older songs to but into a strings album or use in the live show. Kinda like Ayu did with her classical albums. I hope it's a new song, but either way it sounds great!

Also thank you for explaining the ticket balloting to me, I've only just seen the post! I'm still a little bit confused, though. Does balloting on her FC go live first so that fans get first dibs on tickets or something? If you don't win a ticket, can't you buy a ticket from Viagogo or something? That's where I was looking since I'm not part of the global FC.

I also wanted to ask if anyone knows where to buy previous tour goods? I really wanted to buy the W Face tour demin jacket from Yesasia, but I just looked and it's not on there anymore. :C I imagine they wouldn't be available anymore since it was so long ago. It was my fault for not buying it sooner.

Getting hold of concert tickets in Japan is different unlike in other countries where it's 1st come 1st serve basis

In Japan , it's done based on a balloting system which's like a lottery so doesn't mean if you ballot early your ticket balloting will be successful

Likewise if you ballot late , you still might win the ticket balloting

It really depends on your luck and doesn't mean you have to ballot for the maximum number of tickets

If you ballot a single ticket , chances of winning the ballot will be higher as the organisers have to fill in the odd seat here and there . Only thing is whether will you be in the 1st , 2nd or 3rd floor inside the hall venue

As for Viagogo , I don't think you should get hold of Kuu tickets via there . You will only get tickets 2 weeks before each concert date & prior to that you will not know how good or bad your seat is

If you want to get tickets via the black market , it will be online via auction sites & only in this scenario you upfront will know your seat no. disclosed by the seller although sometimes that will not be made known

Mercari & Rakuten auction sites are selling the W FACE Ultraviolet denim jacket 2nd hand

https://www.mercari.com/jp/search/?s...atus_on_sale=1

https://fril.jp/search/%E5%80%96%E7%...action=selling

Mercari & Rakuten only ships domestically within Japan so you have to get a middleman to help if you really want to buy the jacket :@

The original face value cost of the denim jacket was sold for 8,000 Yen in Small , Medium & Large sizes

The variety show with Kuu aired today ( and she watched it while being in the studio again - for summer songs?!?):

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...923/z36ynX.png

So the fan went with her family to Tokyo to search for places Kuu visited as well. Kuu actually didn't know about it - her manager planned it meeting them there!
Kuu invites the family to drink with her then.
It's so cute how the 3 sons are so happy about it, too and one even starts to cry when Kuu is sitting with them together and signing CDs.
Hope somebody uploads it in full somewhere.

@Ayu_Love
So you saw my summary post?
Still some questions?
FC lotteries always come first, general sale always last.
First FC round is already over though.

Corvina 4th June 2019 05:33 PM

Kuu just made a post about today and casually dropped some info again.

It was a very tiring recording today.
Yukiko Tanaka, her former background singer for past tours, joined her - she's not only her English teacher now, but she's also looking after the background vocals for the tour. So I assume she's back for re(live)!

Kuu also shared her day schedule again:

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...921/j62nYv.png

Lyrics validation
Meeting for tour goods
Recording
Break
Composition meeting
Fixing make-up
(and in between she watched the show)

My guess is that the composition meeting and maybe also checking the new lyrics was with Yukiko.
Maybe writing Kuu on her Insta in Japanese that she needs to work on her English lyrics helped. :P

^ I did Corvina, thank you! From what I understand:

- you apply for tickets, you don't know where you'll be sat.
- FC always go first, you can apply for tickets from the Global FC.
- One you've been allocated a ticket, you must pay for it.
- You won't know where you're seated until you get your ticket.

Did I get that right? XD

Exciting to hear that Kuu is learning English, I'd love it if she made some English songs like Namie did.

Corvina 4th June 2019 05:57 PM

Ayu_Love, you got it! :cool

Yukiko Tanaka basically just confirmed that she's back as background singer:

This TV show was so cute!!! It reminded me of myself when I, by chance, met Kuu in the street lol

ALfromHELLSING 5th June 2019 05:09 AM

I love the snippet of the new song with the strings, sounds amazing. We should get the announcement of whatever is coming prior to her a-nation performance, so she can promote the new songs there.

There were also a TON of fans asking for another Aishou performance - because of the sheer amount of people asking I'd be surprised if she's not going to perform it.

I really hope she will perform both Say Her Name & Aishou. I also hope she's going to perform Koishikute & Jounetsu again since the two were a part of the original set-list.

Oh, his mother is just pointing to him and saying something like "look, you're crying, too".
And then he starts to loose and hide it.
Kuu goes over to him to hug him and ask what's wrong and he cried cause he always liked Kuu and now was able to meet her -he says he's just happy. Him crying makes Kuu tearing up, too. :laugh
When Kuu invites the family to drink with her the boys are actually the ones asking if she could sign stuff - they all have shopping bags, so I assume they've bought some Kuu CDs before. :)
At the end you can also see that Kuu gave the re(live) promo she was carrying with her to the boy who cried as a present.
The show calls this whole part "the family who loves Koda Kumi" and the family seemed to have been asked about what they want to do if they really meet Kuu somewhere before, cause the show is like ticking the box with everything they do with Kuu. :laugh

______________________________

Guys, what do you think the release she's preparing is going to be, well, announced or released?
ALfromHELLSING thinks about an announcement before a-nation in July.
I actually thought the whole time we might get that album or a combi release with new songs in December with her 20 anniversary starting and she's just recording now the whole time cause with rehearsals starting in July she won't have any time anymore till November till the tour is over.
But now that she said something about summer songs and studio I'm not sure anymore, haha. Maybe a summer single before in August?
Or maybe she's all planning and preparing for next year already with this and we won't get anything except tours and concerts this year. :laugh

Edit:
She's recording again today and says slowly she gets tired of recording. Before she had vocal lessons.

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...922/V2Abrc.png

~StarCatcher~ 5th June 2019 07:32 AM

I think we will get a summer single before a-Nation this year.
Maybe even a maxi single after many years.

And maybe on december 06th we will get the fourth BEST in combination with a new original Album.

Anyway I am so excited everytime she Posts about recording again <3

Corvina 5th June 2019 10:13 AM

I guess we just got the answer for one of the new songs!

There's the Rugby World Cup in Japan this Autumn and now 100 days before it starts there will be a commemorating event at Tennoji Park in Osaka.
Kuu will be performing at this event and the support song (the Hanazono song) Kuu wrote especially for this will be presented for the first time! Hanazono (which means flower garden) is the name of the the rugby stadium in Osaka.
Osaka is one of the host cities for the world cup.
At this event they will also present the world cup trophy and have a talk event with rugby players, the mayor of Osaka and the govenor of Osaka prefecture.
The Rugby World Cup is the third biggest sports even worldwide, together with the Olymipc Games and the FIFA Soccer World Cup.
The 2019 Japan tournament is the first world cup in Asia and also the first world cup outside a country where rugby is not a tradition. It also is commemorable as the first tournament since the seven-player rugby became an Olympic sport.

Event will take place 06/15, entrance is free, but you have to apply beforehand.
FC members have the first chance to get their hands on tickets for the priority area, lottery runs from 06/05 -06/09.

https://rhythmzone.net/koda/news/detail.php?id=1073498

They're using the re(live) promopics for the event on her official site, so maybe that's a hint she's perfroming the song on tour, too? :mischief

Gustavopc 5th June 2019 11:47 AM

Who are the black back up singers that Kuu uses sometimes? I've seen a few over the years on tour with her, but I've never thought about them until her Japanese one was mentioned. I think I've seen at least one female and one male, but my memory is crap now that I'm an old lady.

kaled kalil 6th June 2019 12:54 AM

It would be good a mid summer release, around end of july. A double a-side would be enough, I don't see her releasing a maxi single near in the future.

As for the album, I think it will be announce around the end of the years and the release date might be around the beginning of the 20th anniversary celebration. I'm guessing it's going to be a BEST + original album combo again, but maybe a "all singles" kind of album (3CDs) and another one for the original songs.

I'm excited about the new song. If it is half as good as Dreaming Now, which was for Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup, I'll be happy.

Dream Music Park - Yukiko Tanaka, David King and Brenda Vaughn
JAPONESQUE Tour - Yukiko Tanaka, TIGER
The Artist - Yukiko Tanaka, David King

About the TV show, don't know if it was said here but the ide behind it was that this family that loves Kuu would "chase" her around Tokyo going to the places she would post on Instagram. And then they finally met her "by accident" but it was actually a scheme between Kuu's manager and the TV show. So neither Kuu or the family knew about, that why both get very surprised and Kuu is asking: "what's this?" haha And yeah, as Corvina said, the family did a list of things they wanted to do if they met Kuuchan and one of them was to sing Ai no Uta with her. So funny when the mother asks kuu to sing with her and Kuu pretends she don't remember which song is Ai no Uta lol

I'd love it so much if they asked her to do the Olympic theme song for next year's Olympics, it would tie well into her 20th anniversary, and I think Kuu has the most 'western' look and image that people around the world would relate to. :love

Thank you Corvina and Karen for answering my ticket questions! It's helped me a lot.

thinkingoutloud89 6th June 2019 04:34 PM

^I bet Japan remixes a song from Namie lol

KarenPang 6th June 2019 04:40 PM

If Kuu is given a chance to perform or be involved in next year's Olympics opening and/or closing ceremony it no doubt will increase her platform presence on a global setting

But I guess it depends on the Tokyo Organising Committee . Already some early details for next year's Paralympic Games navigators coverage have been announced but it's only via NHK at the moment

I don't know for the other TV networks in Japan though

Gustavopc 6th June 2019 05:51 PM

To be really honest I think it's more likely Namie getting back for the Olympics than Kuu being there :laugh But I'd looove it if it happened of course hahahaha

kaled kalil 7th June 2019 01:12 AM

I don't see it happening at all lol. It would be awesome, but I guess it's probably gonna be someone who pushes the "kawaii" or "edgy electronic" agenda, like Kyary or Perfume, for the opening and maybe a comeback type of thing for the ending ceremony, like the Spice Girls reunion that happened.

pedronekoi 7th June 2019 02:53 AM

I think there's 0% chances of Kuu performing in the Olympics. The names I've heard from what people are expecting here are Perfume and Sheena Ringo. Some people even say Utada as a possible performer but definitely not Kuu.

The average public don't really knows much about Kuu here. They don't know about all her amazing lives and her constantly feel for creating new stuff, they only know her as that ero-kakkoii figure. Nowadays people don't really remember/know anything about her besides "Cutie Honey". And that's why, imo, it's impossible to have her in the Opening.

Corvina 7th June 2019 05:56 AM

I'd find it very strange if Sheena Ringo would be performing or doing a song, cause the woman is part of the committee making the decision. Would leave a bad taste.

I've already talked about it in the Asian Music thread and also shared an interview with Ringo there. There she talked about the idea not to rely on big acts, but showing the diversity of Japan from different prefectures with different acts.
But this was some time ago and it was just an idea they had for the Games.

If they take big acts idols like Perfume and boybands/girlbands are the most likely decisions.
Or maybe a male act like Gen Hoshino (Kenshi Yonezu can't because of his autism).

Before SMAP unfortunately disbanded , quite a lot including myself thought they might be involved in next year's Olympics in some capacity but alas no

Right now Johnnys wise , ARASHI & TOKIO are already earmarked to be involved in the Oympics

Solo wise , I think YOSHIKI might be chosen as he has great stage presence & X JAPAN has been around for a really long time

Ayu_Love 7th June 2019 03:27 PM

Yeah, I have to agree unfortunately. My comment was more of a pipe dream, lol.

They're probably going to choose some weird obscure acts no one has heard of or western people will just think is odd. But here's hoping.

ew, I don't like any of them. So boring.

KarenPang 8th June 2019 04:42 AM

What's boring to you might be not boring to others & vice versa

Akimoto Yasushi sits in the Olympics committee as well so you can be sure AKB48 will also be involved in next year's Olympics to some extent

I don't listen to AKB48 & also its numerous sister groups . Don't I want them not to perform in next year's Olympics ?

Yeah but it's what it's

thinkingoutloud89 8th June 2019 10:51 AM

^AKB is fun tho..these boybands on the other hand...

KarenPang 8th June 2019 11:54 AM

Like I said it depends on personal preference . I've been in the Johnnys fandom for more than a decade and I like that each group I support has relative stable structure

Whenever a member leaves a Johnny group due to wide variety of different reasons , J&A don't capitalise that for financial gain and make it a graduation ceremony which led to it being sold on video , unlike what goes on for AKB48 + their numerous sister groups

Likewise even the number of releases each Johnny group put out , at least they have limits . I'm sure ARASHI could have put out 5 if not 20 different versions of their upcoming 5x20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019 but they capped it at 3

And for the record , my sister used to like AKB48 earlier works but once the most prominent members started to leave 1 by 1 , she stopped supporting them as she found it hard to keep up on who's who still left in the group

Anyway I should leave it as it's cos this should not be in Kuu's thread , it should be in elsewhere

Also you support AKB48 , I don't but I'm not going to sway you to listen to Johnnys by hook or by crook cos Johnnys group are not your music preference & vice versa

And who knows perhaps next year's Opening & Closing Olympics will feature both Johnnys groups , AKB48 & LDH groups

===

Kuu did recording today

https://twitter.com/KODAKUMINET/stat...19099338375168
https://www.instagram.com/p/ByciF0RArx9/

I like Kuu's OOTD , casual laidback but still polished

thinkingoutloud89 8th June 2019 01:38 PM

^haha I knew you would respond to this as you biased. I'm not an AKB fan but a big chunk of their music at least is somewhat good. I tried to find a good song by SMAP, ARASHI or any other Johnny group so many times over the years but they are just straight forward bad, cringy or badly produced. Even when I watch the Top 100 charts for the year in JPOP I ask myself how this can happen.

Anyways, I prefer neither of them to perform and them choosing something that shows a different side of J-Pop. J-Pop lacks the quality and interest K-Pop can create for quite a time now.

KarenPang 8th June 2019 02:17 PM

Not sure what songs you came across Johnnys wise . Not all the singles they released are terrible but their entire discographies ain't perfect

NEWS & Kis My Ft2 have been releasing albums on an annual basis but in return the quality of their music suffered but Kis My Ft2's latest album they released this year is quite good to me as I did not like their last 2 albums

Also V6's last studio album was unexpectedly great & that goes for KinKi Kids material too but there was a period of time where their music was boring ,same thing with Arashi

Johnnys fandoms are not forgiving online as some will say everything they release are all great but I'm not like that

Anyway there's still time before next year's Olympics began . Perhaps the organising committee will announce some surprises eventually

thinkingoutloud89 8th June 2019 03:27 PM

^from some of them I have the whole discographie. It's just terrible. I would always say these boybands are the worst thing J-Pop has created. But it's another topic.

I'm still waiting impatiently for the announcement of the tickets.

KarenPang 8th June 2019 04:09 PM

Fair enough , let's agree to disagree alright ?

If not this will be never ending and it will go on forever especially since I don't agree on what you said in that the entire discography for all Johnny groups is terrible which to me , it's not true

I don't know for LDH groups so I will not say

Fanclub ticket balloting results for re(LIVE) will be out this coming Tue afternoon ; 3pm Japan time

aaaaaah we’ll have the ticket results 24 hours from now...crossing all my fingers and toes!

COME THRU, FUKUOKA

jiarongisme 10th June 2019 12:50 PM

Ahhh I really hope I win something too. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

thinkingoutloud89 11th June 2019 07:46 AM

urgh can't wait!

Corvina 11th June 2019 08:23 AM

Japanese fans have their results for an hour now.
There are fans on Instagram and Twitter searching for tickets already, lol.
The playroom lottery round starts tomorrow.

Lee^chan and I, we actually have a theory for years now.
Accounts taking part in the lottery for the first time always win tickets - let's see if it is like that this time as well!

jiarongisme 11th June 2019 08:32 AM

Wow strange. My Livepocket profile page still says "Lottery Waiting".
Corvina if your theory is right then there's a high chance I'll win it then! :laugh

thinkingoutloud89 11th June 2019 09:19 AM

^because you are probably a playroom member?

jiarongisme 11th June 2019 09:24 AM

Nope, the only international fanclub is Koda Gumi. Maybe the international lottery is at another timing. Have you gotten any updates?

thinkingoutloud89 11th June 2019 09:30 AM

no, me neither.

Corvina 11th June 2019 10:31 AM

International results are always a bit later.
3 pm was it for Japan, so maybe 3 pm in your time slot?

Probably for the new song at the rugby event on this coming Saturday.

thinkingoutloud89 11th June 2019 12:45 PM

^I don't know. Ever since the application-process it says mid-june and not June 11 on their website.

Yes, Ai no Uta again for 80%

chocopockymaster 11th June 2019 04:18 PM

I’m getting really antsy and irritated that they haven’t announced the results yet

kaled kalil 11th June 2019 04:23 PM

It is for the new song, she said on Instagram. Looking great BTW

KuuXAyu-fan 11th June 2019 04:46 PM

Anyone know how the Japanese ticket lottery results went? I'm curious to see how ticket sales are going and if people got rejected.

It's always hard to tell with only having social media reactions.
There are posts about not winning tickets at all, posts about applying for a bunch of dates and only winning one, but also about winning more dates than expected and trying to give some away ( cause remember, you have to take all of them).
A look at the comments of her newest post gives the same impression - people being happy about winning and unhappy about not winning.
I'd say it's doing well. But it is a small tour after all.
To answer your question - yes, people got rejected.

Just to give you some samples - went quickly through the first bunch of comments on her newest Insta post:

Spoiler:

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...921/1Fmx9X.png

The first two comments here didn't win any tickets and ask for a second Koda Gumi lottery. Both mention it's the first time they didn't win any tickets.
The last one (eyelash_salon_lovely) won tickets for two Kawasaki dates.
(the one in between says he/she is happy she's performing on TV, even though she might sing Ai no Uta again, hahaha)

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...924/HfYOwN.png

The first one here says she got rejected for the Osaka date(s) she tried and is now trying again in the playroom lottery, cause she really wanna go.
The second says she won Osaka, but lost all Kawasaki dates and is trying again for that with playroom.
And so on.

KuuXAyu-fan 12th June 2019 12:00 AM

Thanks Corvina! Glad to see the tour doing well. Hope everyone here who's waiting for results wins.

Refreshing every chance I get as well!

chocopockymaster 12th June 2019 12:12 PM

I continue to be annoyed by the lack of an update. Our lottery happened over the same dates; why the fuck don’t we have our results yet?

thinkingoutloud89 12th June 2019 03:07 PM

I'm kinda worried too.

chocopockymaster 12th June 2019 03:12 PM

I probably am coming off like a psycho but I can’t plan the rest of my trip until I know if we got the tickets or not...I sure as hell am not wasting two days getting to/back from Fukuoka on my sister’s first trip to Japan if there’s no Kuu waiting for me there (especially when there’s a RWC match on the same day)

Gaaaaaaaaah

thinkingoutloud89 12th June 2019 03:19 PM

^haha no why psycho. same here. My family is holding off from booking and planing.

Corvina 12th June 2019 03:28 PM

I don't think there's anything to worry about.
The global Koda Gumi says results are coming mid-July.
So you should have it till the end of the week.
Usually global fans with tickets are seated next to each other in halls, so maybe they're doing it now after they assigned all seats to the Japanese winners.

Something different - don't know if anybody noticed, but the kimono Kuu is wearing in the promo is a custom-made kimono with her current K logo as pattern.
For Black Cherry she's wearing a belt buckle with the K logo.

sitara 13th June 2019 07:30 AM

hey I have a random and off topic lyric question, I hope it's alright to ask here?

in "koso koso" what is she yelling before the "ooooh" part? I can't understand it acoustically and can't find this little part in any lyric online.

I guess it's just frustrating that they haven't given a clear date as to when the results would be out because "mid-June" doesn't seem to say much. So the original assumption was that we'd get the results the same date as the Japanese Koda Gumi fans since 11 June falls in the mid-June range. Oh well! Here's to hoping that the results come out by this weekend.

my thoughts exactly. I’m not worried, per se, just irritated at the way this has gone down...and now it feels like we’re getting Japan Koda Gumi’s leftovers. I’m not here for it.

Corvina 13th June 2019 04:53 PM

Well, you can always write a comment - on Instagram for Kuu reading it herself or Twitter for her manager/team.
Already seen some single comments asking about it, when the results are coming.

Kuu reading all the nice comments on her way back today:

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...921/BLgAPQ.png

She's thanking everybody for always commenting.

And the fitting for Satuday already looks really sexy! :heart

thinkingoutloud89 13th June 2019 05:02 PM

urgh, it#s annoying because I really need to plan my trip - but there is nothing we can do.
I'm already thinking I won't get any tickets anyways. Looking forward to new music tho.
She looks hot.

Corvina 13th June 2019 05:19 PM

Kuu wants to dance with everybody together on Saturday, so she made a small video with her male dancers.
Going to be uploaded tomorrow.

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...921/DyCThS.png

Today was the last day of rehearsals.

ALfromHELLSING 14th June 2019 03:33 AM

She's been recording for so long unless it's a new single project it has to be an album. Although, it doesn't make much sense to release one now since she's using re(LIVE) pictures as promo pics everywhere and tour won't have new album name. Unless it's going to be part of the tour the way Color the Cover was part of JAPONESQUE tour.

I also hope we won't have to wait 3 years for the studio versions of the new songs like we did with Bring It On.

It makes so much sense now. I was watching W FACE Bonus Pics DVD the other day and saw a few European fans I talk to on Insta, you can see them for a brief moment during one of the performances. They were seated next to each other. I can see why this is done but at the same time this isn't technically a "real lottery" for international fans but I'm not complaining, beggars, can't be choosers. I'm already grateful that international FC exists, otherwise I would've had to pay so much more for all the FC editions & goods.
